First class service

We had cheaper quotes, but I am extremely glad we chose Brycelands who delivered a first class professional service.
We went for the full packing service which took 80% of the stress out of moving.
The team led by foreman Charlie were courteous, hard working, cheerful and ready to go the extra mile.
The ‘ Moving In ‘ process was handled very well, with everything going in the right place,
with nothing broken or damaged.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Brycelands for any removals work.

Excellent move with Brycelands

Brycelands provided an exemplary service for our recent move. Everyone I dealt with, from the office staff to the actual movers were kind, courteous and extremely efficient. I had quotes from a number of companies and they all came in more or less the same, it was their helpful manner over the phone that swung it in their favour. A big thank you to our movers, who packed up the house, garage and garden over a cold soggy couple of days with no complaints. Nothing broken. Definitely recommend this company.

They did what they said they were going to do at the price they quoted. 5 out 5

My recent experience while acting for an elderly relative was very positive. Not the cheapest, but the most helpful and reliable for a full packing service and moving stuff 200 miles to storage.
I was very careful to give them complete and full information on what needed to be packed and moved including photographs and details of furniture size etc. So no quibbles on the quote.
I found the staff very helpful especially as I was dealing with them mostly by phone and they had to work very hard explaining all the terms etc to me.
It all went very smoothly given I was organising this from 200 miles away. The staff who did the packing and the moving were very careful, methodical and respectful. (we did have to be present). Paintings and mirrors were so carefully wrapped. They did the work slowly, but given the weight of the boxes and the contents, this seemed sensible.
It was not cheap, but the contents of my relative's flat are now safely in storage in once piece with no hassle.
They did what they said they were going to do at the price they quoted. 5 out of 5

Didn't honour contracted services, changed agreement after booking

Brycelands quoted for my removal, I accepted and paid the deposit, signed the contract. Just over a week before the actual move Brycelands then called to change the moving days.

This meant I had an agreement with them that they then refused to honour.

The time that had elapsed since signing with them meant that I had very limited options and this left me high and dry.

I had to book with someone else at greater expense (due to the last minute nature of the change) as a result.

So be aware that they might not honour the contracted agreement with you!

I will add that they were quick to refund my deposit, so at least that was hassle free.

Expensive service

We had 3 quotes done and these were comparable with the second quote, the 3rd quote was more expensive. Move took long time, as they said we had more items than quoted for, this was not the case. I would not recommend as this cost us much more than expected. It appears they quote low then want to charge more or say they can’t move you.

furniture badly damaged, move date cancelled

Three pieces of fragile furniture were badly damaged going into and out of store and the admin team did not follow their own booking procedure which resulted in them neglecting to book the move out of store and into our new house just before Christmas. I finally moved the day before Christmas Eve. So an extremely stressful time for which Brycelands refused to accept any responsibility. I would definitely not recommend them

I personally oversaw your grievance and it was established that you had not sent your completed acceptance form to us which meant that we had no confirmed request for a removal out of store date from you. I have asked if you can provide evidence to show that you sent back the completed form but to date, nothing has been received. Despite it being an extremely busy time of the year, we were able to prioritise your delivery, bringing in a crew who were scheduled to be on annual leave to minimise your disruption. I apologise that you experienced damage on your removal as every care is taken to endure no damage happens, however, the nature of our business means that from time to time these things can happen and as such we offer a comprehensive insurance policy which you took our to cover for such occasions. I emailed through a claims form to you on the 8th January but have as yet received nothing back. If you would like to complete and return this to me, I will ensure that your claim is looked into and responded to in a timely manner. Thanks, Brycelands.
