If I could give bt a half star I would…

If I could give bt a half star I would because their WiFi is dreadful! The WiFi router box randomly looses connection & most of the time it's quicker to watch YouTube videos etc using my 4g connection which I shouldn't have too if I'm paying £60 pm for land line & WiFi! When on WiFi it struggles so badly to load up YouTube videos in 1080p most of the time it uploads in 480p...really bt!? When it does convert to 1080p wish I'd never bothered as it takes ages to load up or never works anyway... I need to get away from bt to a new more reliable provider... Sooner the better! Don't listen to the bt adverts etc saying their the best because they are not 😐

Need a temporary solution whilst in between houses and this is the only option.
It's REALLY frustrating having to login 20-30x a day. The thought behind UX is non-existent.
If you can avoid, avoid.

Zero - Hotspot is just another households wifi!

Don't waste money on bt hub broadband or hotspot passes. Bought a month pass which barely worked. Their support team said its because it uses signal of a bt hub household on your road. Absolute joke - when it works it must slow theirs down & also they can 'opt out' of sharing at any time.

Awful.

Awful.

Every time I join the network, a full-strength signal is indicated, yet websites generally won't load - or, at best, will partially load. Apps such as Slack/Teams will appear connected at first, but drop as soon as you try to use them.

The download speeds I've managed to record, using speedtest.net, range from 0.23Mbps to 1.55Mbps. That was, of course, in the very rare instances I could actually connect to the speedtest servers.

The hotspot access packages are a complete and utter waste of money, and provide nothing but sky-high levels of frustration & stress. If you want to hold onto your sanity, do yourself a favour and avoid BT WiFi. On the other hand, if you enjoy watching the spinning beach ball of death, and/or have a penchant for browser error pages, go for it.

Unfortunately there’s no 0 star rate

Unfortunately there’s no 0 star, this is a total garbage paid 7,99£ for a day access and no wonder that the wifi kept disconnecting and in that 24h I didn’t use the wifi for more than 1h with off and on. I don’t see any difference between your service and scammers both of you looking for a way to make an easy money.

The worst wi-fi experience I have ever…

The worst wi-fi experience I have ever had. I liretally wanted to throw my computer out the window from how often I lost connection. And if you’re thinking “oh, your computer must be the problem” well think again, i triend this wi-fi on two other gadgets and it worked just as bad. I tried to contact the company several times but I am unable to. So, BT Wi fi, if you see this, I want my money back. Worst internet ever.

Very, very unreliable

Very, very unreliable.

Constantly drops connection and shows that it's connected when it isn't. I was unable to connect for a full hour when BT Wifi stopped recognising my login details. Limited support from BT if you have problems with the service, unless you have 40 minutes spare to sit on hold.

BT Wifi buying a block of five days to download a video game is a rip off.
It has no problem on my Xbox One X downloading 5 gig but when you ask it to download 120 gig. it keeps signing out. rubbish service, never investing in it ever again, and not purchasing BT internet for my home, will find somewhere else with reliable internet.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! I had problems over the weekend with my home-based WiFi and BT could not have been more helpful and supportive. It was a Sunday too, and they were all absolutely brilliant. One member of their team needs a special call-out, his name is Phil Rudd. He epitomizes what the term 'customer service' means. He really does. BT management should contact Phil and ask him to send the recording of our conversation this morning, they'll be really impressed. Phil will know who I am because I told him I was going to post this today on the TP website and name him. Great service needs to be recognised. Great service also needs to be rewarded. I hope Phil gets a nice letter and a bonus from the CEO of BT WiFi. In these really hard times when we have to watch and guard every penny we have, and as a self-employed professional, having people like Phil giving a much needed helping hand is actually priceless. Thank you, Mr Rudd!

Oh my fúckiñg god

Customer service are lovely when setting up the account.
When you complain that you need to log in every 3 minutes, that's when they become aggressive and intolerant.
Bought 12 month subscription.
Customer service representative was partially sensible. Mainly full of shît though.

A potentially great "sharing economy"…

A potentially great "sharing economy" community wifi project completely spoilt by an absolutely abhorrent and greedy company.

BT Wifi works by allowing you to pay to connect to other BT customers routers.

This service would be absolutely perfect if 2 things happened:

1) BT tells the wifi voucher customers the speed of the router they are connected to before paying.
2) The revenue generated was shared with the BT customer providing the service as credits off their next bill.

If the revenue was shared as money instead of credits you would see commercial premises openly advertising the service.

The richest tech companies in the world all make billions because they operate a revenue sharing model. But no, none of this because ultimately, BT is just HORRIBLE.

I had read some really bad reviews…

I had read some really bad reviews about the 30 day BT wifi package.
My wife thought it must just be people living in rural areas, who were struggling to get decent BT internet.
I live in a city and thought the signal would be good. How wrong I was!
Forget that Netflix would not stream, I really struggled even to use doing emails. Emails were really slow to load and to send.
It felt like internet from over 10 years ago!
I am really annoyed and disappointed. £39 wasted.
I have just bought a rolling contract Dongle from Vodafone and that is working really well.
I would like to to find a way to get my money back for the 30 day package.
I hate to be that negative review person but the quality of the BT wifi on the 30 day subscription was so poor, that it almost felt like a scam.
