total scam. Just like all the others have said they charge you $1.00 for one image. Then all of the sudden you are charged $59 for a monthly fee. Also not an easy method to "cancel" the service you never even signed up for!

This company operates in an extremely deceptive way.
I bought what was clearly presented as a single photo for $1. The page shows the $1 charge in a normal, obvious way, so naturally I assumed I was paying only for that one item.

Only after checking my bank account did I discover that Buddi.com had secretly activated an $59 monthly subscription.

The subscription “notice” is written in tiny, almost invisible text, placed where no normal person would ever notice it. It is clearly designed to trick customers into believing they are buying a one-time $1 item, while actually signing up for a recurring payment.

When I reached out to customer service to explain the situation and request a refund for the three unauthorized charges:
• No apology
• No understanding
• No refund
• Cold, robotic replies
• Complete refusal to acknowledge that their setup is misleading

This is NOT how a legitimate business behaves.

I feel completely scammed.
What should have been a $1 purchase turned into $59 every month, taken from my bank account without my informed consent.

I strongly warn everyone:
Do NOT trust their $1 photo offer. It’s a trap designed to start a subscription you never knowingly agreed to.

Avoid this company at all costs.
Unethical, misleading, and with one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.

This websites offers image editing for $1. Then hides a consent form behind the $1 agreement form so you technically agree to a monthly subscription of USD 40 without knowing. They will then begin to charge your card, and there is no way to cancel your subscription. The only way to stop the charges is by cancelling your credit card.

you think you are paying for a file conversion, and they take the liberty to sign you up for their most expensive package. Nowhere at all does it say that this is the case.
They are located in Malta, which has been identified as a place for tax evasion and money laundering.

Would give zero stars if I could, a scam website that hooks you in with a line of ' 7-day trial period available for £1 to test our services.'

It's a hook for people to forget that they subscribed! They don't send a reminder before taking the first payment and In fact, I had NO correspondence for the initial sign up.

A pretty deceitful way to run a business and immoral as well, I hope they sleep well at night. Also, the app is nothing to write home about; lots better out there. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

If I could give no stars I would. I originally signed up for a $1 deal only to find out that it was charging me monthly. There was nothing at all on their website about a monthly fee. I contacted them about cancellation and was told to go to billing and click on the cancel button. I did this thinking I had cancelled and didn't pay any further attention only to find out later on that there was still taking monthly payments out. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Where's the zero star option? I tried this app on an old photo, which it couldn't even process. My fault for overlooking the fine print. But what a pathetic business model. If they aim to offer a good product at a fair price, they fail on both counts. If they simply want to steal your money, they are actually quite successful.

This is a scam. They will only charge $1.00 to enhance an image. They later debited $59 from my credit card as an unauthorised transaction. They do not respond to any emails and are not contactible Do not use this service. I have had to cancel my credit card. SCAM!!!

SCAM! Yep definitely a scam, they catch you by charging a one off $1 fee for an image upscale. With nothing to say that you will be charged more. Then use your details to sign you up to a monthly $59 Aud subscription without your consent. They most likely won’t give you a refund as they do have a separate tab on their website, albeit hard to find stating their subscription fees. So yes purposefully misleading and 100% a scam

I'm in a hell period with work but if anyone has time to coordinate a group action with Trading Standards there is a 'class action' type way of a group getting their money back (and perhaps compensation for interest and time, not sure). I'd sign up and support.

I realised this apparent subscription 2 days ago and have asked for refunds three times (not expecting them to comply) and will be disputing through my credit card Bank. Have raised it as a complaint with their 'Customer Support' again, expecting nothing.

I would give a 0 star if possible. you have to spend $1 to try it out, I was specifically using their vector image rendering. I am a fairly discerning buyer and no where did I see this was the trial period for a $35 subscription. After getting billed I immediately canceled the plan and found I didn't even have an account set up. so, after setting one up and canceling the plan I requested a refund and was denied even though I persisted requesting it 3 times. This is clearly their scam.

Disgusting sucker-trawling scam company. They con you into a ludicrously overpriced monthly subscription and then siphon money from your bank account. There are hundreds of victims' reviews on Trustpilot. How I wish I had read them beforehand. Bubbi.app basically embezzled me for two months before I noticed. Worse than shit.

Be warned this is a scam. Don't provide your credit card details.

SCAM. £1 paid for a file conversion a few months back, and they have continued to charge me £29 a month on some hidden subscription plan which I did not sign up to. My bank has just frozen any future payments but aren’t able to refund as this must be done directly through the company. The cancellation page is a scam in itself which also just bounces. AVOID at all costs!
