German Border Police discriminated Japanese traveler. My Japanese girlfriend was given a rough time at the Airport mid November 2022 when arriving from Tokyo. A very unfriendly and rude officer asked dozens of questions regarding her relation with a German man, although my friend had visited me 7 times. One time, she was greeted in Japanese even, by a friendly officer, so this time is unusual.
The officer wanted to see cash, too. She had only a few notes, but then produced her VISA card. That was not enough, so she showed another one. Again, the officer looked down on her, clearly indicating that he hates women from Asia.
He then threw the cards and passport back to her without looking at her. What a welcome!!
