Made the move stress free

I had a great experience with Burke Brother Removals when moving from Wombourne to Whitchurch. The team was punctual, professional, and handled all my belongings with care. They made the move smooth and stress-free. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable removal company.

We just wanted to say a big thank you…

We just wanted to say a big thank you to Burke Bros in their recovery. We broke down on the A5 and the RAC called Burke Bros to come and rescue us. It took 7 hours for us to be finally taken, but 3 hours of that was simply waiting for a direct tow. The guy who took us, Christian, couldn't have been nicer. He was professional, personable, courteous and a very safe considerate driver.

Careful smooth recovery

From the moment I received a telephone call to advise me that the recovery vehicle was close to arrival, to the unloading at my home, everything was done with great care and professionalism.
The drive home was smooth and restful, and the discovery that we had an interest in common, made for an enjoyable journey. Top class service.

The most s*** company ever

The most s*** company ever, please don't use the service of those guys, firs of all, the comunication is very poor, is very hard to get in touch with them, and second they dont know to be polite with people, they treath you like a last man of the earth, they think are they are god or something, they rip me of right now with £520 plus vat for few days, for a small motorbike, one of the employee inside the yard he drive it inside without my consent, I have evidence on my gps live tracker.
This company is just for rip off people

Bad customer service

Bad customer service. They are not clear on what they will do before moving and when issues arises they are bad at communicating or resolving it. The movers are rude and lazy. I will highly not recommend

If They Haven’t Got The Resources They Can’t be Trusted

My wife heard a loud and unusual noise from her car while travelling the 25 mile journey from work. It was louder when she braked. So sensibly stopped in the first safe place and called the AA. It was ten to six on a February evening, it was dark and cold and she was in the countryside. Despite being a lone female in a dangerous and unsettling situation, the AA told that it would be 1 and 1/2 hours before they could get to her. After waiting almost an hour, she received a text message from Burke Bros telling her that they wouldn’t be with her until 11:30 pm. That’s just short of a 6 hour wait!

I went out to her. In our other car. After checking, I discovered that it’s a bake pad grinding. I decided to drive her car home and she would drive mine. I am extremely angry about their lack of care and poor prioritisation. If they haven’t got the resources, they shouldn’t be contracting to the AA.

We received great service from booking…

We received great service from booking a quote to when the guys left at the end of the day . They arrived on time , got straight to it , were polite and friendly and did everything they could to get us in and out . I would 100% use again and recommend to friends and family .

Avoid this company at all costs

Avoid this company at all costs. Damaged and dented appliances, lost bolts for my bed, which they were no help in replacing.

We had to store our furniture for 2 weeks due to moving dates not matching. To pack the 2 removal lorries there were 4 men and everything seemed fine. On the moving in day they sent 2 men of which one said he was just the driver to unload 2 lorry loads. Bolts and cables for TV bed went missing and plugs smashed. Washing machine dented. They didn't know where the original packers had stored the screws ect. for the beds and were unable to get in touch with anyone to find out where they had placed them.

Don't be fooled by the lovely man who comes round to quote you this is not the service that you get and everything is paid upfront, I wonder why.

Burke by name

Burke by name, berks by nature.
It's lucky that I packed most of my possessions well, and that most of my current furniture is cheap Ikea stuff - as I ended up with a lot of scratches and dents. E.g. the fridge freezer is luckily 12 years old, as it now has a nice new big scratch down the front (I had been assured they would use blankets to protect the appliances). Look closely at their insurance policy, as it excludes scratches and dents, and they did not take the care they said they would to avoid things getting scratched. Also, they insist on 100% payment before the move (this rang some alarm bells but I had received a recommendation about them so assumed it was to protect them from dodgy non-payers).

They also arrived an hour earlier than agreed, adding extra pressure to an already stressful occasion.

On the positive side, they were friendly and polite.

Recovery on breakdown.

We were recoverd on breakdown by this Company today (9.8.22).The lad that picked us up was Michael who was so professional, curtious and polite. His vehicle was clean for us as passengers and he respected the fact that our motorhome was new and meant so much to us, taking care and consideration when loading and unloading it onto the recovery truck.
Michael is an absolute credit to Burke Brothers. Thank you Michael.

Excellent service at short notice!

We used this company to move a 4 bed family home. Our completion date changed and so had to find new movers within a few days and Burke Bros couldn’t of been more helpful.
They quoted us within a day and we booked them for our move date in only a few days time.
The 4 removal men arrived promptly, they were friendly and considerate of our life possessions! I couldn’t believe how quickly and hard they worked to get the job done and get us moved into our new home.
Nothing was ever a problem, going above and beyond anything I asked of them.
Thank you so much for making the whole day as least stressful as possible and looking after us. The guys who attended us are a credit to your team.

Excellent Service

I just want to thank you for the excellent service we received from you yesterday (Alex and Luke) - Alex was very kind and understanding during our ordeal with the RAC yesterday - but most of all he was honest about time frames and treated us like human beings, rang back when he said he would and wonderful Luke turned up like our knight in shining armour - I would be proud to have these 2 guys on my team. Massive thank you to you.

AVOID - TRADING STANDARDS & OMBUDSMAN INVOLVED!!!

We used this firm to transport our car to the UK. The initial contract/invoice clearly states we have paid for testing, and fitting a MPH speedometer. We have emails from them stating this invoice and fee was for "EVERYTHING" with regards to getting my car over. We were then hit with over £2000 port fees which is in their small print despite being told this was for everything. We paid for personalised plates, they weren't fitted so we need to purchase them if we want them fitted, they said they need to fit a more expensive speedmonoter than their usual one at the tune of £156 ONTOP of the speedometer fee we had already paid. I asked if we had a choice. Well according to Trading Standards, we do as these HIDDEN FEES breach the contract. They then said they are charging us £20 plus VAT for fuel for the testing - again already covered on the invoice. To top it all off, they are refusing to give me my car - despite them saying I had paid enough nd should have it delivered to my house for free - unless I pay the additional hidden charges that breach the contract, AND they will now charge me £30+VAT a day storage when I am more than willing to collect my car but they are refusing me it and have even moved it to Norfolk! Trading Standards also advised I contact the credit card company and get a refund for fees as they breached contract, and that I contact the furniture ombudsman.
