Deceiving consumers
Buuks charged me 119 DKK ONE YEAR after I bought a book with them. When calling, they said that I 'chose to be a member', and sent me a receipt from my purchase last year. Looking at it, I see my order and, separated, almost invisible to the consumer, they say they will charge a membership. Bad design? I doubt it. I feel that it was made intentionally and I feel scammed. I will look with my bank (or lawyer) about how to object to this 'membership'. I give you a suggestion FOR FREE, Buuks.dk. This trick doesn't pay out in the long run. Get the trust of your consumers, otherwise, you won't survive in the long run. Immature company.

They're scamming people
trash company. I bought a book back in December 2020, after which they have charged me 89 DKK each month until July 2022 (of course I could have paid more attention, that's on me). The fact I don't remember anything about signing up for this monthly subscription is a bit sneaky, and to this date that one book is the most expensive book, I've ever bought.
DO NOT buy anything from this company. It's a "legal" scam, and I can see it's not only me, who has been fooled by this. Do not support this.

SNEAKY!!!
As everyone else says, buuks is SNEAKY! They sneakily lure you into a monthly membership by broadcasting cheap prices and then quietly including that they sign you up for a membership with a monthly 120 dkk fee. They insist that they make it clear what you are signing up for but obviously not if myself and hundreds of other people feel swindled. Sad that they have to trick people.

You can find information about our membership on the front page of Buuks.co.uk, on each product page, in the check-out, and in our membership terms, which must be accepted for the order to be completed. Furthermore, we provide information about the membership on the order confirmation that you receive by email.
You actively choose which price you want to purchase for. If you do not wish to become a member, you simply choose the normal price aka the non members price on the product page.
We can see you have been in the customer center yourself and canceling the membership.

These scammers have been already reported to the Ombudsman and the police multiple times, and taken to court along with 2 other fraudulent companies from the same owners (pluus.dk and sayve.dk).
One of them has already been resolved in favor of the customers and all the fraud money confiscated.

Fraud!! Experienced the same as everyone else here and got tricked into a super expensive membership. Especially if you don't speak danish it is absolutely not apparent that you have to pay a membership fee!
Delivery was additionally incredibly slow.

By the way you don't select the membership price, it is allready selected for you! Only really small and discreet when you scroll to the bottom a little box where you can choose the normal price! There is also no seperate email that informs about the membership or an invoice for the membership priece. You really need to read the fine print. But I think you are verry much aware of that! Wonder why you even make the effort to give the same coppy paste replay to everyone here.

Infuriating
Sadly, my experience with the 'hidden' membership has been identical to so many other disappointed former customers of buuks. Underlying 'former' here as I don't understand how scaming your customers makes sense for a business who should rely on returning customers.
Leaving a comment as I hope that yet another negative piece of feedback would bring them closer to wanting to introduce more fair practices.
