My well used 2 3/4 year old Fenix 6X…
My well used 2 3/4 year old Fenix 6X Pro developed a fault. The Menu button stopped functioning. Garmin Customer Service Chat were quick to respond and clearly explained my options. I elected for a replacement unit ( actually a 6X Sapphire) for just under £160 including a new band and delivery. I returned my original unit on a Monday morning (UPS local drop off) and received my replacement unit by 2pm on the following Thursday. Shame I didn't take the extended warranty from supplier ( John Lewis) but very happy with Garmin Service here in the UK
This the last time I been purchased…
This the last time I been purchased anything from garmin!!!! Shame on you garmin, you selling expensive watches and using worst delivery service on this Planet “UPS” this service is a joke. I should read reviews before purchase, now I can see how they treat me as a customer. I’m thinking to cancel my order because I can seat in the house everyday and wait for delivery which is past the every next day!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very disappointing
Very disappointing! It says on website that product will be delivered in 3 to 5 days and it’s over 10 days and all UPS is saying “we will provide as update as soon as possible”. There is no way to contact customer service at Garmin or to cancel or return the product. Given that the watch costs £500 you would expect that they are at least able to offer customer support. Horrible!!
Product great, customer support almost non existent
Product great, almost non existent customer support, however, Which, in the end, is a big problem. This is too bad.
Avoid Avoid Avoid
Purchased the new garmin edge 1050( not cheap) and thought I should protect my investment with some genuine garmin covers.
It’s now 4 weeks and nothing, contacted garmin and nothing no response or acknowledgement.
Another global company who does not care about the non corporate customers, going to send the unit pack and go with a company who cares..

Bought a watch for my daughter’s on…
Bought a watch for my daughter’s birthday on August 20th 2024. No watch received and no refund. I have called numerous times, often not getting through and emailed and absolutely no update on what will happen next.
Rubbish Garmin products
Rubbish Garmin products, in my case a very little used, but just over 2 yr old BC40 camera, which decided to be dead after changing the batteries.
Totally ignored the 4 emails I sent them, but did manage to send me one back saying "how did we do" YOU didn't Garmin UK! I tried the chat line, asked if I could send it back to be looked at and all I was offered was another one with a slight reduction in price, but why would I GARMIN?
What customer care?
When you try to phone them, they simply cut all numbers off. When you try to email using their contact form, they simply don’t reply. I then wrote a letter -guess what? This is arguably the worst ‘don’t care’ attitude I’ve experienced.
Well done Garmin
Well done Garmin, another dissatisfied customer.
A white spot appeared on the face of my original Forerunner 245 and lo, on line there was a notice saying this was a known fault and my watch would be replaced free of charge.
A replacement was sent out and all was well. At first it was ok but then I was unable to start an activityand then it suddenly stopped altogether- like the battery had run down but it wouldn't take a charge.
Tried contacting customer service but no answer.
Seriously? Don't waste your money on this rubbish.
Poor Product, worse customer service
I had my Garmin Fenix 6 replaced under warranty 3 years ago. The watch was great until recently when the screen lost its pixels and the up button stopped working. I was told that they'd replace it for a refurbished second hand one for £178. I complained but the but complaint was handled by the same team that offered me the second hand watch. I said that the screen should last more than 3 years and they agreed but wouldn't do anything more as they don't support the Fenix 6 anymore. What a joke....
Garmin DriveSmart 66 with a DriveStupid 66 unit
What a waste of money. Garmin have seen fit to make the unit's interface look like a child's toy. They have changed the display format renaming the usual buttons and relocating them with garish colours. Trying to load new routes and waypoints, some load and others don't. Wasting time with BaseCamp, Mapsource was a much more user friendly and efficient program for creating and loading routes and waypoints. They have continued with the foul green waypoint symbols from the previous model so it looks as though we will never again see the more colourful ones used in the nuvi models. They have also persisted with the 30 waypoint limit which forces longer routes to be split in half. The unit freezes while loading data and is very slow processing directions. It has taken over an hour to load 40 routes each with a maximum length of 200km and 20 waypoints. It has been unable to load a number of them even though the worked quite happily in my DriveSmart 51. Garmin still haven't been able to rectify the problem with their maps. Often a route will hit an invisible block in a road where the route will be rerouted back the way it came even though there is no actual physical blockage on the road, with Google Street View and routing confirming its navigability. Garmin have done the same as the mobile phone manufacturers have done, tried to turn a silk purse into a sow's ear and boy have they done a good job. The display format looks cheap and nasty. I would not buy any more of the DriveSmart format units until such time as Garmin rectify all of the glaring inadequacies of this model line. I used a Nuvi760 for years and only changed models because of the cost of updating maps.
unresponsive and unprepared employee for customer service
They accused my nephew of theft, ABSURD!
I will never come back, much less eat you, I would be unprepared to deal with PEOPLE!
The store may be great, but customer service and professionalism is essentiaL
My 12 year old son was accused of shoplifting
My 12 year old son was accused of shoplifting, and when we asked for the footage, they refused to show us the exact word they used was "give back what you got". My husband said if they didn't show us the footage he would call the police and they still refused to show us the footage. That's when we called the police, and we felt terrible about being accused of something that our character would never allow us to do!
Garmin Customer support is worse than useless.…
This is my own opinion and views based on my own experience. I've owned approximately 15 or more Garmin watches and spent thousands upon thousands of pounds acquiring them, including the Marq series. I have a Quatix watch which I asked for assistance with due to connectivity issues. I got the usual nonsense, turn it off, turn it on, email from Customer Support. I've sent a further 4 emails to them, all of which have gone unanswered. I agree with others here, Garmin provide a good product but don't ask them for help if it malfunctions. Customer Support is worse than useless.
My watch was faulty and out of warranty…
My watch was faulty and out of warranty but they were happy to replace with another for £175. I was more than happy with this. Well unfortunately, they have my old watch and my £175 but wont seem to send me out my replacement. They are just sitting on it.
Garmin are amazing
Garmin are amazing, 10 times better than any other company doing what they do. Sadly there aren’t enough people going to review them themselves so all the bad ones just end up here. Garmin devices are amazing, so much better (then tomtom for satnavs example) and there support is great too. They make every single step of owning and updating a product simple. Love them. Absolutely Love them.
Terrible operating model
My subscription ended. My device is still paired with my email. I’m trying to reactivate my subscription before i hike the Swiss alps alone tomorrow and they’ve locked my device for what reason? I’m logged in, I’m entering the correct IMEI and auth code, the account still shows the device, so WHY am I having to verify it and now reach out to get it unlocked? And their customer service center is closed on weekends when most people would need them. Horrible website, useless app, and horrible customer service experience. I’ll be looking into other options after this trip.
Garmin = Bad taste
Garmin’s customer service is disappointing. Despite their firmware update ruining my Dash Cam Mini, they refuse to offer a fair replacement. Offering a measly 50% discount for an old replacement cam or 30% off a new cam instead of taking responsibility is unacceptable. Their poor handling of this issue has left me with a useless device and a bad taste in my mouth. Avoid them!
Fantastic support!
My recent experience with Garmin Support in UK as been great. It went above my expectation. They've listen about the issue I had with my Garmin smartwatch and they've act immediately with a solution. They've managed to solve the problem in few days! I'm speechless. Definitively Garmin will be my brand of choice for any future smartwatch I'll buy.
