Being Dutch, I know a lot about windmills, wooden shoes and tulips. Buying a kilt is somewhat out of my comfort zone. I was looking for a kilt for my 77-year-old dad who will wear it on a special occasion.
Fortunately I found buyakilt.com and I am very, very pleased with my purchases. The kilt and the rest of the outfit I ordered are of a very good quality, I never expected to get something this good for such a low price!

My husband bought the Budget Grey Tweed Kilt Outfit and looks incredibly smart. I love the quality of the wool jacket. And although the kilt is made of polyciscose it looks beautiful, is smart, heavy but comfortable and looks beautifully made, it doesn't look cheap! it will be used for a wedding we have been invited in Austria, and everybody will be wearing their lederhosen, bus as my hubby is a true Scotsman, he won't be seen in anything other than a kilt in a party as formal and traditional as this one. Purchase was easy to do over their website and delivery took only a couple of weeks. The service was excellent!

I bought the budget prince charlie outfit from this company. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who would like to have a formal kilt outfit, but isn't willing (or able) to pay the usual £500+ prive tag for a real kilt. The quality is very good, considering the price, and the kilt, while not being completely genuine, is easily good enough to pass muster. One thing to watch out for is that there is only one kilt length available, so if this doesn't fit, I believe you would need to have it altered.
Delivery time was exceptionally fast. My order was placed at the weekend and I had the package by Tuesday.
In short, a very good balance between affordable price, good quality and speed of delivery. Recommended.

As a relatively small company they are much more flexible and responsive than some larger Internet retailers. They ship what they say that they are going to ship, when they say that they will ship it. Delivery times have been good, even here in Australia.

It took just three days between the e-mail that confirmed the dispatch and the arrival. AND I LIVE IN BRAZIL!!! THREE DAYS!!!! But what surprised me the most is the quality of the products. I purchased a kilt jacket on Sunday evening, Monday lunchtime it was collected by FedEx and delivered to my home in upstate NY on Tuesday afternoon - the kilt jacket is excellent - a wool barathea jacket for 120 pounds is wonderful value- it is well tailored. The administration at buyakilt kept me well informed of progress via emails. First class, couldn't have wished for a better jacket with better service.

I ordered late Thursdaay n ight and the kilt was delivered on the Saturday - brilliant.

Guys and girls (lads and lassies), very satisfied with the efficient dispatch of my kilt(s) and accessories. Only one wee fly in the ointment, having ordered a kilt measuring 32-36 inches, I find it impossible to squeeze myself into a size 30! Too expensive to send it back and get a replacement as customs duties are horrendous...... will have to resort to ordering extensions.
I strongly suggest that your packing unit pays more attention to size and should rather edge towards the larger end of the sizes ordered rather than the smaller. Otherwise, great service and will order again.
