Great quality, great price!
I bought 2 black cow hides to recover the seats of 8 dining chairs. The quality of the leather is excellent and it was easily worked to make the chair covers. One of the hides was substantially larger than the area quoted online and I was able to get the 8 seats from one hide. I was very happy with the cost for the 2 hides, so I am well pleased that the actual cost of recovering my chairs has effectively halved. I will be re-covering the seats of friends’ dining chairs with the remaining smaller hide and I can easily get their 6 seat covers from that one.
The only slight downside was that I had to pay import duty (the equivalent of VAT) which the transportation company efficiently sorted out for me.
I will be using BuyLeatherOnline.com again.

The number written on the back of the hide is not the thickness in millimeters, but the surface size expressed in square meters (m²), which is standard practice in the leather industry worldwide.
As explained to you by email, leather thickness must be measured using appropriate tools and following professional guidelines. All hides are checked before shipment, and the leather you received was selected and supplied as 2.0 mm (5 oz), in accordance with the product specifications.
We have already provided you with detailed instructions on how to correctly measure leather thickness and remain fully available to review any concrete measurements if needed.
We understand that leather is a natural material and that precision is important for certain projects, which is why we always encourage customers to contact us directly so we can assist properly before any conclusion is drawn.

First purchase was a great experience
The communication from the people at BLO was great throughout the entire purchase process, especially with the samples that I ordered initially. When I made my main purchase, the great communication continued and the prompt shipping was fantastic. I really appreciated the transparency during the shipping process, especially when it came to the import duties. The leather was packaged up very securely and made it to my doorstep in great condition. I will definitely be ordering more leather in the future!

Item received in perfect condition, but unaceptable shipment delay
The item ordered was received in perfect condition, well wrapped and corresponded exactly to the description given on the website. However, contrary to what they claim on said website (shipment within 2 to 3 days), the item was only dispatched after almost 3 weeks. When contacting the company to ask why my order was not being processed, I only could "exchange" with a rudimentary AI that did not grasp the actual nature of the problem (seeing the "answers" I managed to extract from it). And it still took another 3 days before my order was shipped. No explanation was given and no excuse offered. This unacceptable delay and blatant disrespect for customers do not entice me to use again the services of that company.

I can't fault the quality of the leather. It is always of a very high standard. Received 2 free sheep skins as well as offset of the black Friday deal.
The badalassi oiled pull up leather is stunning. Not a blemish on either skins I got. I even got a grade 3 double butt veg tan piece that was still of very good quality.
