Horrible experience

Horrible experience. They advertise merchandise that they claim "they do not have". Makes absolutely no sense. They never send you a confirmation email as they claim. Then they cancel all your items saying they are "out of stock". But then they relist the item for sale!

Unfortunately, it is an error with our inventory system. Trust me, the fact that it still shows it as available is super frustrating for both of us, but we are working to correct the issue asap.

Without getting too technical, we basically started to grow much faster than we anticipated, and an issue we knew we would have to solve (eventually) related to inventory sync became a problem much sooner. Now, that module is totally overwhelmed with inventory updates and it’s not syncing anything! What a nightmare.

I really apologize for the inconvenience here, we are working our butts off to get the issue corrected and will let you know when that happens!

I haven't received an email…

I haven't received an email confirmation and didn't know how else to get communication...

Update: I emailed them to let them know my email address was not a typo and was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt but no such luck...I haven't heard back and my order was canceled for a 3rd time. I wanted the shoes as they are very difficult to find and they keep showing available but obviously are not...not really understanding the concept of their customer service or their business plan...1/25/2024

Maybe if I post on this site they will respond because they haven’t responded to me as of yet. Why does this company claim they will send you an email after you supposedly purchase something? They have had this problem for months without resolving the issue which is not acceptable. I really want the sweater I ordered so I will give them untill today to respond. I hope this company isnt working off of peoples emotions because they cannot find their items anywhere else. If this is the case, it’s very sad that people do this.

Paid $70 for a pair of shoes for Christmas for my boyfriend. The help center link doesnt work and neither does chat. Never recieved confirmation email. I did ask for a returm which then allowed me to cancel my order and i did receive a refund.

Fraudulent site.

Ordered a Le Creuset Brasier Indigo 5qt. Was told the sale was accepted and completed only to then be informed that there was an inventory issue and the item was no longer available. That would have been fine except that the item is still listed on the website and indicates that my order was filled. Neither is true. Total false advertising. This site is fraudulent.

Dodgy and unprofessional

Great quality - real deal product with easy shopping experience!

It is an easy site to use. The search engine could be more specific, but I found my product easily enough. The pricing wheel is a great tool. I had put in the wrong address at first, but it was super easy to retract the order and re-order it, giving me a high confidence in the money transaction interface.

Three strikes you are out

Three strikes you are out. I see lots of positive reviews on this company. I ordered shoes twice and each order was cancelled as the product was deemed out of stock. The third order experience is the one that makes me know not to bother with this company again. I placed another shoe order and it was billed to my credit card (Capital One) on 12/13/2022.I received the product but it was not up to my expectation, I mailed product back on 12/21/22. I received acknowledgement from Buyr.com on 12/27/22 that my return was delivered and being restocked, I was to allow the retailer at least 48 hours to process. On 01/05/23 since not receiving my refund I contacted Buyr.com.
On 01/06/23 The response from Buyr. com sounds ridiculous, "If money not in my account, contact Capital One and determine why they'd with hold the money. REALLY, a reputable credit card company does not hold refunds. I finally contacted my credit card company, they also could not believe the response from Buyr. com. My credit card company is issuing a dispute for this issue. I think Ebay or Amazon provide better experiences, this company seems to deal with retailers, who have limited stock or slow processing on customer refund

I know this reply is delayed, but we wanted to close the loop and make sure we made sure your concerns were addressed.

As a startup, we have experienced some significant growing pains we didn't anticipate, and have not lived up to customer expectations – we take this extremely seriously and are doing everything we can to improve.

Cancelling an order is never something we want to do, but we have tried to set up the system as favorably as we can, but things (especially payments) are not always perfect.

We actually don't capture any funds until a product is shipped, we simply pre-authorize a transaction (much like many gas stations will do at the pump). When an order is cancelled, that pre-authorization is removed, and the funds are available immediately, since we never actually captured them.

Here is how Stripe, our payment processor, describes it:

“In the case of a reversal your customer won’t see a refund credit on their statement—they’ll just see the original authorization drop off their statement entirely after a few days.
There will be no payment, and no refund. It’ll appear as if the whole transaction never happened. Their bank should be able to confirm this for them.”

I know this is less than ideal, and we still didn't meet expectations, but wanted to let you know we are working as hard as we can to implement changes based on feedback from our customers, and be a better company tomorrow than we are today.

Creating something from scratch is never easy, but we are encouraged by th progress we have made and are hopeful we may be able to earn your business again in the future.

False advertising, poor vendor management

Submitted a reasonable bid for a jacket. Then Buyr offered me a bid 20% below the guaranteed price to place the order immediately, which I accepted. Buyr immediately charged me and then the next day said the retailer lied and didn’t have it in stock. 1) Don’t charge my credit card until the product is shipped! 2) Don’t say something is guaranteed if it isn’t!

I know it has been a while, but we wanted to follow up here and apologize, as well as clarify a few points.

First, we really apologize your order was cancelled. This is obviously a really poor experience and doesn't live up to the standards we hold ourselves to, so I'm sorry.

The way our system works, we actually never charged your credit card, simply pre-authorized the transaction (much like a gas station might do). As soon as your order was cancelled, that pre-authorization was removed immediately, and the transaction should have simply disappeared. Not ideal by any means when an order is cancelled, but we hope this setup eliminates the time customers need to wait for a refund, in the rare event an order is cancelled.

We appreciate your feedback about the "Guaranteed" label on the customer interface. This label is actually referring to the price of the product, and how some price points are guaranteed to be matched, where lower price points are not always guaranteed, but we try to make it so we unlock the best deals possible for our customers. We will look into revising this label, in case it's misleading.

We really apologize for the inconvenience here. As a startup, there are always growing pains, but disappointing customers is by far the worst part of them.

We are working hard to improve and are hopeful we can earn your business at some point in the future!
