EDIT: The subscription refund has been processed. I strongly advise the BBC science focus magazine to revise their commercial agreement with this buysubscriptions.com company and ensure their performance is also monitored based on issues raised by subscribers. Thank you.
I purchased an annual subscription (digital plus printed edition). The first renewal subscription was problematic as the published edition were not delivered and I could not access the digital version either. This was finally sorted last year after several emails and a call. Last year (2023) in October this company renewed the subscription for 2024 and deducted 80 euro from my account without prior knowledge, with no advance warning and having the choice to opt out of a renewal ( in breach of GDPR). In February 2024 I noticed I could not access yet again the online subscription and emailed several times and a call. I cancelled my subscription and I am now waiting for PayPal to manage the escalation as the company is unresponsive. It is a terrible shame that BBC Science Focus magazine is using this company to outsource their subscription services as they are appealing. Avoid at all costs!

Failed to deal with no deliveries for 6 months
Neither myself, nor a giftee recipient, has received any issues of BBC History magazine since August 2023. BuySubscriptions response is that my claim is outside their 'standard claim period'. No such period is mentioned in the Terms & Conditions. - And anyway recent months should be!
Responses from the service desk amounted to nothing more than 'fobbing off' and failed to deal with any of my problems.

I have re-rated my review as the company have now addressed most of my problems.
It is unfortunate that it took a negative review here before satisfactory action was taken, and it still does not appear that anyone has looked into the delivery mechanism to New Zealand to see why multiple issues to two recipients failed.
However, at the moment a satisfactory remediation process has been put in place.

Didn't send the free M&S voucher
Signed up for a gardeners world 6 month offer with a free £10 M&S gift card blackfriday deal but never got the gift card.
Have messaged customer service a few times and they have now stopped responding.
Have taken my money and sending the magazines but no voucher as promised.
Edit: I have just sent another message hope you can sort this for me. My Sub number is 4051834036 if you can check from that?

Credit/debit card authentication
The money for the subscription was taken but the subscription to the magazine was not put in place. While the credit card was being authorised the application dis connected from the transaction so the subscription amount was debited to the card but the subscription was not set up. It was very difficult to get the money refunded.

I subscribe to 3 magazines, not really had any issues until suddenly I can’t log into my account, my subscription numbers are invalid, etc. Basically i can’t see what I’ve subscribed to, what I’m paying. But my 3 Direct Debits are still being taken. When I spoke to them on the phone, the only response was try later. Worrying thing was the advisor asked for my password on my account!

Took money, no magazine, they lost the order
Ordered a 6 month January start subscription and a one off December issue of Simply Sewing Magazine in December. After chasing by email 3 times, I finally got my December issue mid-January. It's now February and I haven't received the January issue (due 18th January). No longer able to use the email support as you have to select the magazine in question, but they no longer list Simply Sewing on the site.
Phoned to ask and have been told my subscription doesn't exist in their system and they have no record of my order. They've told me to contact a completely different company for the possibility of a refund if they can find the order.
Would not recommend as at this point they've just taken money and run.

This company has outsourced it customer service to a South Africa agency . The level of service is appalling , I have call 5 times to sort out a subscription which was order in November for 6 magazines cost £590 only one magazine has ever been sent!!!!
I asked for the name of the MD so I could write to her/him but they refused to give it to me.
I strongly recommend you don't use this company .
