Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 55 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people experienced significant delays in receiving payment, often waiting weeks or even months beyond promised timeframes. Customers frequently reported that initial attractive price offers were drastically reduced after their devices were inspected, often due to alleged damage or condition issues that reviewers disputed. Additionally, people found the customer service to be unhelpful, unresponsive, and characterized by poor communication, with many struggling to get updates or speak to an agent. However, some customers also noted issues with the product return process, reporting that their phones were sent back either damaged or with missing original packaging, or were rendered useless upon return.

Supplied stolen iPhone 13 Pro Max

I ordered an iPhone 13 Pro Max for my Mum via the 1-year Amazon Renewed Guarantee Scheme. This offers free returns upto 12 months from the date you receive the phone, including if you are just not satisfied with how it is perfoming.

The iPhone was initially working fine, cosmetically it was pretty flawless, and had very good battery health.

All sounding dreamy so far?

Five months after delivery she noticed that it wouldn't work away from the WiFi at home.

A return was requested for a full refund, and this was approved.

Buyur sent a prepaid postage label to print out.
I sent the iPhone back to them, and after nearly 2 weeks was informed that it had been blacklisted by Apple, and our warranty was void, so they wouldn't do the refund and were sending the phone back to her.

Now, I'm not saying who knew what and when, but the reason iPhones get blacklisted is when they have been reported stolen. I did get the impression that Buyur were implying that this blacklisting was somehow OUR fault (for some reason, I had trouble understanding why we would make her phone stop working as a phone).

After a few days back and forth, the phone duly arrived (Not yet been opened - I offered to hold on to it for them to collect).

Amazon stepped in and issued a full refund (which I assume they will charge Buyur for).

5 Stars to Amazon - 1 Star to Buyur (1 star really means 0 Stars).

Will definitely avoid URcouk in future (that's their Amazon profile name)

BUYER BE WARE If I could have given 0☆ to this…

If I could have given 0☆ to this abysmal company I would have. Sent my mobile off to them in pre sent packaging 📦 with an offer of £110. Over a week later, after there extensive tests.... You guessed it, the offer has been altered to £10 for Screen Burn!!!!! (No it doesn't 😡) Obviously I decline and want my fone back, sent back with a chip in screen which it didn't have when it was sent to them. Asking me to send them pictures to escalate the damage. What's the point, bunch of 🤠🤡 So be very careful what you send to them. Personally I'd go to CEX or Cash Convertors, which is exactly where my tech is going to now.

Absolutely shocking company

Absolutely shocking company , g9t a quote for my phone , checked it all before sending it then after them having it around 10 days they claim they could only offer £10 as it had screen burn , the phone did not have screen burn when I sent it to them and when they returned it to me it was loose in a box far to big for the phone and it was just rattling around inside
Avoid at all costs

Not to be trusted

Not to be trusted. Reduces value by <50% based on negligible feedback. Increased offer as soon as I declined but have the cheek to return it without any considerate packaging, leaving the phone loose and prone to courier damage. Why as a customer should I risk trusting a company who can’t honour the condition of an item as received - sour grapes perhaps that I didn’t use their services!? If they don’t own the item then retaining items that I could gift the phone or resell seems somewhat like foul play. Original Samsung box and accessories not returned, which I have since been advised is quoted in their small print. Shocking service end to end. Even their telephone assistant who attended to our query felt the service needed to be changed. Need I say more…

My phone was checked before I sent it

My phone was checked before I sent it. It was perfect, also sent in pristine box (complete with charger). I was told it had a screen brightness issue and returned in a different box without assessories. Asked for my box and assessories back as I have a buyer but told it had been recycled.

Refurbed iphone.

Bought a refurb iPhone from Buyur, through Back Market, which although it was listed as ‘good condition’, it was actually pristine, & works perfectly. The service was prompt, & the phone arrived exactly to schedule. I see from other reviews that some people have had a bad experience with them, but this definitely wasn’t the case with me.

Untrustworthy Company

I returned my old I phone X for a quoted price of £140.50.
They claimed it had several scratches on the screen and was only worth £100.50. It did not have scratches on the screen when I sent it (very well packed in the original Apple box). I was given the option of accepting the lower offer or having the phone returned to me.
Of course I feared that if I asked for it to be returned it would indeed have scratches on the screen when I received it! I therefore felt that I had no option but to accept the lower offer.
I believe that this is a dishonest company and I would advise everybody to avoid using them.

Scam artists, throw your item in a skip,

Had a price offer off them for my iPhone 8 Plus so I sent it to them by their post office delivery service, the next thing was my item had vanished from the box it was taped up in. A month later I am still being palmed off with the same excuse that they are claiming off the post office. A complete and utter sham. Throw your item in a skip, you have more chance of getting some cash.

Excellent Service, Great Communication

There appear to be mixed reviews so I decided to write one having just used this company. They offered a very good price for our phone, sent a postage label with full and detailed instructions. Their communication was excellent and we received regular updates throughout the process. Within a week the start to payment was completed. I would not hesitate to recommend this company. Our phone was in excellent condition complete with box and this may have a bearing on the response you receive from this company.

Avoid this company! Total con!

Avoid this company! Really bad service and not trustworthy! Ordered a iPhone as a Christmas present, there was a mix up with the courier and ended up with 12 cans of dog food! Back market who seem to be a mediator for them weren’t interested unless I had a police report, I contacted the police and they said it’s between them and the courier as there’s not been a physical theft just a mix up. Contacted DPD to sort it out and they have to be instructed by the seller (which they refuse to contact the courier without a police report). So now hundreds of pounds down no phone and buyur say they will close the case if they don’t receive a police report in 7 days which I can’t get!

I sold my Samsung Galaxy s20 5g for…

I sold my Samsung Galaxy s20 5g for recycling. They sent me postage paid label to send my parcel. I got an email 2 days later confirming receipt of the parcel. They emailed me ever step of the process, which was 4 emails in one day, the final message confirming that payment was made. I checked my bank and sure enough the full amount was deposited in my account. I cannot fault the service of this company and would not hesitate to use them again, and would recommend them highly.

I would give zero stars for this…

I would give zero stars for this company if I was able too. Avoid this company at all costs!!! Like you have read other reviews you can see how terrible this place is. I purchased a phone and it was delivered the following day like the speed of lightening. The phone arrived with 9% charge..I plugged it in and it became piping hot and wouldn't charge past 9%. There was something loose rattling around inside. The phone also started beeping with an in screen warning saying moisture detected in charger port.
This phone was boxed up and returned the following day Monday. They received it on the Tuesday one day later. Since this it has been murder trying to get my refund...it has been constant back and too phone calls and messages that don't get answered...one minute there's nothing been done because I left my pass code on the phone..so ring me and tell me that, but no I had to ring them to find this out...the next day its oh you've left your Google account on the phone, so why are they not ringing me to tell me this. Its me doing all the leg work. Took my Google account off then it has to go through testing. They've had the return for 6 days now... Friday its going through testing it could take 4 days?????. Its now Monday again. Oh it has gone through testing and your are eligible for refund. Damn right I am I know my rights.. I have waited almost a full day and refund not gone through yet...I have no working phone so using other peoples to contacts this company. I am unemployed due to being sick and saved along tome for this phone. Now I have to fight to get my money back...disgusting service.
