Funds Frozen Without Clear Timeline – No Resolution Yet

Update (16/4/2026) : My case has been escalated to the Law Enforcement team and I am still waiting for resolution.

I have been using Bybit and recently faced an issue where my account was placed under risk control.

My funds (4555 USDT) have been frozen since March 7.

I fully cooperated with all verification requests:
- Submitted video proof on March 12
- Submitted additional requested verification on March 20

Since then, my case has been under review with no clear updates or resolution.

Support keeps responding with generic replies like "under review" without providing any timeline.

This amount represents more than 60% of my total funds, and the delay is significantly impacting me.

I am not refusing compliance, I just need:
- A clear update
- Or at least withdraw-only access

After a month since I created my account with KYC, it's still under review. I deposited my crypto and can't withdraw it because Google Authenticator isn't working. Support hasn't offered any solution. I don't know how these people are still operating.

Bybit P2P allows multi‑account scammers to keep operating

I recently lost 443 USDT in a P2P scam on Bybit. After a full appeal with videos and documents, support told me they “cannot return any assets because the counterparty withdrew or transferred the funds before the appeal was submitted.”

What shocked me even more is that this kind of scam is technically possible on the platform by design. One person used at least two accounts: a “main” VIP account with high volume and a 99% completion rate to gain my trust, and a second account to receive my fiat and then cancel the order after payment. I provided screenshots of both P2P chats, the profiles, and our Telegram conversation clearly linking these accounts, yet Bybit’s final answer was essentially: we can’t refund you, please contact the police.

I can still see his second account active and trading on P2P. In practice, this means a multi‑account scammer can continue using Bybit as long as they move funds out quickly before an appeal and simply rotate between accounts when one of them gets into trouble.

I am extremely disappointed that a scam like this is even technically feasible on Bybit. If Bybit proactively detected and banned linked multi‑accounts involved in fraud, this scheme would be much harder—or even impossible—to execute. Instead, the entire risk and loss are placed on the victim, while the scammer remains on the same platform.

DO NOT TRUST BYBIT !. They are engaging in textbook False Advertising and scamming their customers with fake promotions.

I participated in their official "10% Cashback Booster" promotion, which explicitly advertises 10% rewards for Utilities and Groceries. Based on their own promotional banners, I spent €800 (€500 on Volton Utilities and €300 on AB Groceries).

When I contacted support (Case #24784021) because the rewards weren't showing correctly, they gave me the most ridiculous and insulting response I’ve ever seen. They claimed that MCC 4900 (Utilities) and MCC 5411 (Groceries) are NOT included in the promotion.

Wait, what?! Your own app has a giant banner listing EXACTLY these categories for the 10% bonus!

I have full screenshots (proofs) of:

The official promotion in the app listing Utilities and Groceries.

My transactions with the correct MCC codes.

The support email denying their own terms.

This is a pure scam. They lure you into spending large amounts of money with the promise of cashback and then hide behind incompetent support agents who deny the very existence of the promo’s terms.

Bybit, credit my €80 reward NOW. I am reporting this to the European Consumer Centre (ECC) and every crypto forum. You are a disgrace. 🤡🤡

I am tired of receiving the exact same robotic, copy-pasted explanations about how MCC codes work. Stop sending me templates and actually read this email.
Let me make this very clear: As a consumer, I am NOT required, obligated, or even able to know the 4-digit MCC code of a merchant before I make a purchase. You advertised a promotion for "Groceries and Utilities".
I went to a Supermarket (AB) and paid for groceries.
I went to an energy provider (Volton) and paid for utilities.
If your internal "whitelist" excludes the standard global MCC codes for Groceries (5411) and Utilities (4900), while you actively use those exact words to bait users into spending hundreds of euros, that is the literal definition of False Advertising and fraud.
I demand that you escalate this ticket to a human supervisor with decision-making power. I am asking for an exception to credit my €80 cashback manually because I acted in good faith based on your advertised categories.
If I receive another automated or template response refusing to address the deceptive nature of this promotion, I will expose this entire email chain on X (Twitter), Reddit, and Trustpilot to show the crypto community how Bybit operates. I will also file a formal complaint with the European Consumer Centre (ECC).
This is my final attempt to resolve this professionally. Escalate this now!

Update regarding my Case. The review timing was reduced from April 3 to April 01. Today is April 01 and I was thankfully able to withdraw my funds successfully however my account was suspended permanently. Bybit can block your account without any questions

Everyone needs to know that they can block your account without explaining anything to you or asking you any questions. Just block it. After they block your account, you will have to write to their support, and they will reply to you "Yes, yes, of course, we understand your concerns. Yes, yes, we will escalate this to our compliance and hurry them up, but it can last up to 30 days."

This platform is worst when it comes to manipulation of trade. A slite move against you incurred a huge lost but when market is in your favor not the same and when you close the trade you will realize in most cases you will be left with a slashed profit even when you are mindful of your leverage.

I have been a trader on this platform for years, but my recent experience regarding a 1,608.00 EUR deposit is unacceptable.

System Contradictions: Support claims the deposit is "untraceable," yet my account shows an active Internal Case ID: for this exact transaction.

Privacy Overreach: Bybit is refusing to release my funds unless I provide my full personal bank history and private trading data from other exchanges. This is a gross violation of financial privacy and an attempt to harvest data on competitors.

I am writing this to warn the global crypto community about a massive security loophole in Bybit’s P2P marketplace.

I was defrauded through a coordinated scam involving "VIP Trial Cards." The merchant was openly selling USDT at an absurd rate of 1.2 USD/USDT (a 20% premium). Despite this being an obvious red flag for fraud, Bybit’s "Risk Management" system allowed the listing to remain active and even gave the merchant a high rating.

When the scam occurred, Bybit allowed the fraudster to withdraw all stolen funds within minutes, with zero "Security Hold" or withdrawal latency. Now, Bybit Support (Case 2027390675165847552) refuses to take any responsibility, hiding behind "voluntary trading" clauses.

Bybit is failing in its Duty of Care:

They allow predatory pricing (1.2 USD) that facilitates scams.

They provide the technical tools (Trial Cards) that scammers exploit.

They have NO protection for honest traders when their own Escrow logic is bypassed.

Do not keep your funds on Bybit if you value security. Their P2P platform is a playground for scammers, and their support is just a bot-like template response system. I will be reporting this to financial regulators and local law enforcement.

I am extremely frustrated with my experience trying to use Bybit’s API services.

After attempting to access the API feature, I was met with a vague “Service Restricted” message stating that the service is unavailable due to regulatory restrictions. However, there is no clear explanation of what specific regulation applies, why my account is affected, or what steps I can take to resolve this issue.

This lack of transparency is unacceptable. As a user, I expect clear communication—especially when access to key features is being denied. Simply redirecting users to customer support without providing meaningful information creates unnecessary confusion and wastes time.

I have made efforts to understand whether I qualify as a permitted user, but there are no clear guidelines or documentation provided to help users in restricted regions. This makes it very difficult to trust the platform, especially for those of us who are serious about using its services professionally.

I would like Bybit to:
1. Clearly explain the exact reason for the restriction.
2. Provide a list of supported and restricted regions for API usage.

fiat and paypal issues

Bybit looks like one of the best platforms, but I have to say I went through a very difficult verification process. They asked for everything as part of their KYC requirements—information about my income, yearly taxes, investments, and even bank statements.

After going through all of that, you would expect that trading, especially placing direct orders, would work without any issues. But it doesn’t seem to be the case. Here in Sweden, due to strict policies, I chose the PayPal option. They do offer PayPal, but suddenly it stops working and just says “try again later,” which I don’t think is a proper solution, especially considering how fast the market moves.

I’m not very satisfied. When you provide every document—something I even had to do twice—you expect a fair and reliable service in return.

Bybit is a scam!

This business is a scam!

It was fine until I tried to withdraw my funds.
They make you use google authenticator which causes the app to reset each time it switches back.

This triggers a security issue in the app and the freeze your transfers for 24hours. Support refused to help and say it's the way the system is and you have to wait 24hours.

When this happens it disconnects google authenticator.

Once 24hours is up you have to re-add the Google authenticator as it won't allow transfers without it.

Then you have to wait 24hours because you made a security change! Again response from support is bad luck, this is how it works.

Basically you're left in and endless loop with no support and no way to get your money out.
