Great item. Badly damaged box when delivered

The technicians were very polite and helpful and placed the item where required. The problem was with arranging a suitable delivery date. And when the item arrived the box was badly damaged. It's a shame as this reflects badly on Wickes where I ordered the item from.

Great experience

Great experience! They were so efficient, friendly and polite; such a rarity these days. They delivered it precisely where we asked and were apologetic they hadn’t arrived at the early side of the delivery time-slot (but they did arrive within the window provided)!

If only every courier hired individuals like these two!

Byeway logistics Limited are only as…

Byeway logistics Limited are only as good as the weakest link.
The Office email the customer with the delivery slot for the next day.
If that email is not replied to by 17:30on the same day your delivery will be put on hold.
I didn’t read my emails until 20:00 hours where I replied back with acceptance of the delivery slot for the following day.
The delivery time came and went which was between 15:45and 18:00 I called the office and spoke to a lady Cathy Seawell
she told me the delivery had been cancelled because they hadn’t received an email by 17:30 the day before.
When I asked her why they didn’t reply back to my two emails which I had sent the day before at 20:00 she made an excuse to say that she hadn’t picked it up because she hadn’t started till 11 am.
When I asked why she hadn’t phoned me, she said there was a digit missing.
The conversation after that was cut very short after her putting the phone down on me.
I called Oak Door UK to confirm that they had received the correct mobile number, they confirmed it was correct and had been passed on to byeway logistics a good few days prior.
The delivery finally turned up four days later.
The two guys delivering the oak skirting boards were very polite and helpful.
It’s such a shame that a company’s reputation can fall flat on its face when an employee working in the office, can’t be bothered &doesn’t understand the importance of customer service.

Good afternoon Mr Elgin. If I can just go through the chain of events here. When the order was uploaded onto our system by the supplier they put in the incorrect mobile number so we could not get a hold of you. We did send an automated email when the delivery slot was confirmed 48 hours before. You did not confirm the delivery on the link that was emailed to you. The day before delivery we tried again to contact you asking for you to confirm before 5.30pm as this is when our vans get loaded for the next day. We understand you replied back at 8.30pm that evening but by that time no one was available. Then our client came back with the correct mobile number. There was opportunity for you to confirm 48 hours before then again before 5.30pm the next day. How you spoke to Cathy in customer services was unacceptable. Our staff will not tolerate being spoken to rudely. Should you wish to discuss this further please call me on 01536 660221, Amanda

The delivery was to a new house and was eventually successful

The delivery was eventually successful. The drivers had difficulty finding our newly built house and missed the turning twice. They correctly phoned us and we were able to direct them into the correct gateway. The couriers were polite and courteous and dropped the packaged items into the hall way, as instructed. Thank you.

The delivery team refused to bring the product into the house properly

The delivery team refused to bring the mattress in past the front door claiming it was too heavy despite it being my elderly mother who was home to accept it.
The plastic covering on it was also filthy so it’s ruined the inside wall by the door that they left it against

Good afternoon Luke, I have investigated this with our operations manager, and the crew said they were unable to lift the mattress over the banister to get it up the stairs. They needed to bend the mattress and it was to thick. They did apologise for not taking the outer wrapper from the package. Byeway do apologise for the bad experience you have received. This company is great

This company is great, they kept my informed all the way by text email and even a phone, and the 2 guys that delivered were very polite and helpful they even asked where I would like the parcel, they also called about 23 mins to let me they were not far away, the box was damaged but they did say they had checked and all was there.

Not the best

Not the best. Delivery was scheduled for the Monday, they showed up and searched the lorry but our chair was not on that delivery. It was rescheduled for the next day but the link in the text I had would not work to confirm delivery. It was rescheduled again for today between 15:00-18:00 today. I did not receive a text to confirm the delivery would arrive and it didn’t arrive until 18:45. The delivery guys seemed liked they really wanted to drop and go as quickly as possible. He asked me if I had a build included and I told him yes. The chair was unboxed and carried through, bashed quite a few times on the way through the house to the garden. I had paid for fitting as it was a section for a corner lounger. He said he was just delivering and rushed off very quickly without fitting. Not a good experience unfortunately.

A 5 Star delivery service

The delivery was within the Time Slot and we were contacted 20 minutes before delivery and the delivery guys were very professional and did a perfect job .
We would highly recommend this delivery company.

Efficient Company

I was informed by the company which day my delivery would be made by email and a a phone call, the driver then called me when they were nearby. Helpful and cheerful delivery people, who could ask for anything more.

Kept well informed

Kept well informed. No call 30 mins before delivery as stated. Driver said he had been "too busy". This was a 2 man team. Err surely the 2nd man who isn't driving can make these calls. Bye way needs to know
