Stolen Items
When they delivered back my items, some of them were missing. I asked them about this and they offered no help and they said they wouldn't accept a 'claim'. Never using their service again.

My experience with the collection of items, customer service, and delivery (thank you Costa and Adrien) were all great. There was a Covid-related delay to the return of my items, but Stored were very apologetic and rearranged the delivery to my convenience. The only small issue was that the labels and packing tape used caused some damage to a piece of furniture I had stored. But otherwise a great service!

Stolen items
Pick up was alright, however it was later discovered that they had left items off the inventory list, so when I informed them of the missing items, they said there was nothing to do about it. I also had my phone stolen from my storage box, as well as a few other items including a kettle and a yoga mat, and they refused to accept responsibility for it. Never using this service again.
Edit: to their response, the yoga mat and mirror were returned. The phone never was, even though I reported the theft the minute the person on their team tried to reactivate it- which happened to take place the same day my items were moved. But was told that there was nothing they could do, and no compensation was given, even after I sent the report from Apple

I booked the pick up a week in advice…
I booked the pick up a week in advice and was told my booking was confirmed. Recieved a text that they would come from 9am to 6pm. I called and they stated they are running late until 7pm. Then I received an email they won’t make it until 9pm. This review was made at 10pm and they never showed, don’t reply on their bookings. Disappointed

Thrown off by rude and sarcastic customer service, didn't even manage to try out Bystored's actual service which looked attractive beforehand.
I did not manage to even use Bystored services, despite wanting to try it out. The website and prices looked promising enough. However, as a first-timer for such storage services, I read through all the FAQs and still wanted to speak to a company rep for further details, clarifications and reassurances about my concerns (fragile boxes, safety, loading and unloading prices, etc.). I was ready to confirm and pay for the booking upon speaking to someone from the company but this is when it all came crumbling down.
I booked with Bystored but did not manage to confirm my booking. I waited patiently all weekend and rang up the company first thing this Monday morning. The male company rep who picked up the phone was incredibly rude, sarcastic, and frankly very unhelpful for no good reason. I was pleasant speaking to him so was very surprised to be treated this way.
- He started off answering my questions merely with only yes/no answers, which is frustrating for a customer who has clearly asked for more details.
- After a little more prompting he finally provided a bit more than one-word answers however he was clearly reading off the website
- When I asked further questions he was sarcastic (e.g. when I asked about stacking he replied "yes we will throw your stuff around and chuck it in the corner carelessly")
- He also kept repeating that I should just read the FAQs, as if I wasted his time (I insisted many times I already read them and just needed more information).
- When I asked him questions about pricing (which may sound repetitive and silly to him, but of utmost importance to me who have never used the service before), he sounded fed up and annoyed. He told me to listen carefully and repeated himself sarcastically, as if I wasn't listening (I WAS listening, but just wanted more clarification on how the loading charges worked).
All in all, it was a bad experience just speaking to the customer service so I had little faith left in the company and did not want to proceed with them out of dissatisfaction. Of course I read the FAQs before calling, but if I understood everything I would not have wasted my own time to call either! There is no need to treat a potential customer this way just because they asked some questions. There are more customers out there who have not read the FAQs - are you going to treat them worse?
A real shame because I was looking forward to try out the service for a 6 months+ storage but was thrown off by customer service only. I booked immediately with another competitor and was incredibly happy with their normal service and helpfulness.
Just a note to Bystored - I did not write this review out of spite, but only to let you know that your customer service team needs improvement, especially your front-facing staff. I'm not sure if this was merely a bad day for the individual who I spoke to, or whether this is how your company usually operates. There are many of us using these types of storage company services for the first time, and we would appreciate more helpful customer service.

Very successful handling of my move made by Adrian and Costa. Everything marked and put on list of inventory which made me feel safe. The guys were on time and very efficient and professional. I would definitely reccommend!

Terrible Service
I left STORED an excellent review when they collected my items. How wrong I was! When I received my items back two of them (a box and a mirror) were missing! They found the mirror however they couldn’t find the box. All they offered was £50 refund. I will never use their service again, stay away from them if you want all your items back!

Avoid at all costs - utterly appalling.
We booked an 800 cubic ft room and confirmed they would return our belongings to our new address as it was outside London, which they agreed for an additional fee. We provided measurements for every single box and item we would be asking them to collect and submitted a list well in advance of collection, however a van arrived which had a capacity of approximately 600 cubic ft, so unsurprisingly it didn’t all fit!
Stored claim to “give” you an hour of loading for free, what they don’t say is they will spend that hour moving at a snails pace, painfully sticking labels on every item. The labels are supposed to ensure an accurate inventory, but clearly the sensible thing to do if you aren’t trying to rinse your customers would be to send the labels to them in advance of the collection so they can put them on all of the items ready to go. The paperwork the collection team had been provided in no way reflected the detailed list with dimensions that we had provided. We were charged for the “extra” loading time and they had to send another van back the next day to collect the remaining boxes - it was just by good fortune that we didn’t have to be out of the property the same day.
We made a timely request for return of them items, only to be told they were not uploaded onto the system and we had to wait 2 weeks for that to happen, as it's all automatic. 2 weeks went by with no change, we chased and it appeared that day in a haphazard non-numerical list of 6- digits numbers with minimal description. We then found the system would not allow us to book a return due our postcode, and we had to do it manually. Stored stated this would take another 2 weeks. Then suddenly saw multiple odd sums of money being withdrawn from our bank account by Stored in quick succession. With concern we tried to contact them to find out what this was about, when they eventually came back to us several days later they informed us it was for the following months storage fees (which we would not be utilising) because their delay tactics had tipped us over by a couple of days.
On the day of return (9am-6pm) we had taken annual leave, at 4:30pm we received a call from the delivery driver who stated they would be not arrive until 7pm, and it would be 2 vans. The first van arrived nearer 8pm, the second approximately 45 minutes later, so we were working well into the night. It was impossible to check the items off on the list provided because it was not in numerical order and it became apparent that despite being electronically scanned at pick up the bar code numbers had been entered onto an Excel manually.
There are 3 broken boxes, anything fabric has a musty damp smell, one item had 2 different labels on it, four numbers are on the spreadsheet that we never found on items, one label on an item doesn’t exist on the spreadsheet.
Throughout, disingenuous tactics and unreasonable conditions have been built-in to ensure Stored make as much money as possible from the customer, including earning interest on fees by delaying the return of goods and monies.
Stored have failed to respond to our enquiries by email, failed to follow up on the mishandled delivery despite us refusing the sign for it, locked us out of the online account that would enable us to revisit the details of the booking and invoice, and ultimately failed to deliver anything resembling customer service. We have attempted numerous times to resolve this directly with the company, to no avail.
Avoid at all costs.
