Same thing happened to us. Was with C2 for years… and in the crucial Moment of essay writing assistance, we were told that our remaining hours were expired

I called up C2 education on Parsippany and got to know that my hours are expired.This was not told to us when we enrolled and there was no intimation as to hours getting expired.We have invested lot money to secure those hours for both of our kids.
When we signed up with Jane,nothing was mentioned on the hours expiration clause and we were self assured that both our kids can prepare with C2.
I feel cheated and I would be going to explore other legal option as these are hard earn cash.This is really disappointing.

I had an awful experience with C2 in Chatham and hope to save others from experiencing the same. In 2022, we sought out test prep services for my daughter and were convinced by the director to receive the 100 hour package, as the hours would be transferrable among siblings and also would never expire (this was written in her email). A year later, when we had 58 hours remaining, she sent a contract saying we needed to sign the contract every year to extend the hours, but she would keep doing this until the hours were finished.

We then received an email in August 2024 stating we had 6 months to use the hours since policies have changed. After 2 months of arguing, I have given up in getting them to honor the fact that they promised the hours would not expire, or to give us even a partial refund.

They are purely a business that is set out to make the most money possible and don't care about their consumers. I wish I had looked at these reviews earlier, otherwise I also would have known to stay away.

Company basically stole my money by expiring hours within on year. No one ever told me this. I contacted them in the summer of 2024 and didn’t receive a call back. My initial program began summer of 2023. It is now August and this was the feedback I received and they told
me they can’t help me but I can purchase more hours. Literally took my money and did not provide services for the amount paid.

I was a student at c2. I think that, at least for SAT and college essays, they teach very well and can provide great advice and expertise. The SAT content is very similar to what you’ll find in the test. Their college essay tutoring is very helpful because second opinions are always great for writing. My only warning is to not start too early for SAT because bad study habits form the longer you’re there, not only at c2. I was in tutoring from 7th to 11th grade, and I couldn’t focus anymore towards the end.

My daughter began attending C2 Education in 7th grade, and it was truly a transformative experience for her. At the start, she was very quiet and lacked confidence, struggling with essay writing and feeling unsure of her abilities. Over the past year, with the dedicated support of her incredible tutors—Michael, Colby, and Brynna—there has been a dramatic improvement in her academic performance and self-esteem.

She now finishes 8th grade with all A’s and has become confident in her capabilities. Thanks to C2 Education, she was offered a placement at a prestigious and highly competitive all-girls private high school—an opportunity that would have seemed impossible without their help.

Allen, the Center Director, was instrumental in guiding my daughter and our family through the challenging decision of choosing the right school for her future. His encouragement and support were invaluable during this process.

Additionally, Keira and Mackayla, the Education Coordinators, were exceptionally receptive and helpful throughout our journey. Their commitment to addressing our needs and ensuring that we had the best resources was evident and greatly appreciated.

I can't thank C2 Education enough for their commitment and care. They genuinely invest in each student's success and help them achieve their dreams. I highly recommend this center to other parents, especially those with children of color. The personalized attention and dedication they provide are second to none.

It's a joke! whatever they are telling you when you want to get in,do not believe it. My older kid bought a package, not able to use all the hours, they promised siblings can use it whenever. Now they are telling me it's expired and there's nothing they can do about it. Scammer!

My wife and I have been searching for a company to help our Regis High School student to bring his A game up amongst his peers. After speaking with Suja (the director) we knew our 15yr old was in good hands. The level of professionalism and attention to detail surpassed our expectations. Her assessment on our first meeting was very accurate and although my son has not even taken his first SAT score we noticed an increase in the practice test they have given him. My son during the school year needed help with his classes and C2 has definitely pinpoint holes in his studying and helped give him the confidence.
C2 have the tools and teachers to help facilitate what he needs when it comes to getting extra help. We also need to get AP help. But even though my son's school is a non AP school. We had the pleasure of getting help from Nathaniel who is excellent with Math and English. My son needs SAT help and this place so far has helped give him some techniques. Anthony and Thomas are also excellent tutors. But trust the process and have Suja help you best find your fit. This place truly takes the pressures off your child's shoulder from elementary to high school. Also, when it comes to college prep and essays. Please do not hesitate to ask and sign yourself up. Suja has truly broken down the overwhelming wall that as parents was in front of us. Now we have some knowledge of how to best help our son. On my son's practice test. He got a 1240 without studying or sleeping properly. So far his practice test has been increasing and Suja has help identify the weaknesses. My son went up by 40 pts. Although not much for some these practice test are designed to be more difficult than the actual SATs. So iron sharpens iron. We know he's capable of a 1500 or higher. Thanks again to this team. Also Jason their receptionist and the best scheduler is a delight and very helpful. Jason's communication skills is amazing. They also have Madison now in their team.

If you need AP, SAT, and especially college prep from essay, etc. This place is your home. Also, if you used me a recommendation you'll receive an extra 10hrs.

I also read a lot of reviews here and I can tell some of them are out of spite. You can find my reviews in Yelp and Google business. Don't be fooled. This place is the real deal. Call Suja today and remember to get your added 10hrs just mention "Mickel and Tristan Evangelista" and you will get it.

My family has had a great experience with C2 from 2019 through 2023. Both my sister and I have had gotten a lot of help for high school classes, SAT prep, and college applications. They helped us succeed in getting our grades up, especially when I was struggling in honors chemistry. The regular practice and review for the SAT was also really key for doing well on the exam. My sister and I have both gotten into highly ranked colleges for our majors due in no small part to the guidance from the tutors at C2 Little Neck. The director of that location was also very kind and helpful in guiding my family through the whole college prep and applications process.

I was not a particularly excellent student when I first came to C2 Education of Little Neck in 7th grade, but at the time of writing this as a high school graduate, I believe this center not only aided my academic career but strengthened essential skills as a student that give me more confidence going into university.
Despite struggling with work ethic, my tutors were nothing but understanding and accommodating, and it was an environment where the tutors didn't just seem like teachers, but real people who had gone through similar experiences. This positive environment was immensely conductive for my academic growth. Being in a relaxed but focused environment where tutors were understanding and kind allowed me to learn to the best of my ability, and made the process of studying for daunting exams easier.
Being in C2's SAT program, I was able to raise my score from a 1250 to a 1490, and I was able to score 4's and 5's on AP exams that just seemed unapproachable thanks to the support of my tutors.
C2 provides quality tutor service, but it also provides a quality community and environment that allows students to learn at their best.

We came to C2 seeking help for our son, Amir. Amir was a year behind in reading and needed to prepare for private school entrance exams. Amir’s standardized tests showed him reading at the 9th grade level in the 7th grade. Amir was accepted into the private school of his choice due to his high test scores! I am extremely happy with the experience we had at C2 Education in both - Edison, NJ & Little Neck, NY- for SAT prep, AP prep & with the college admissions process & essay. The instructors were attentive and provided excellent guidance tailored to both my kids needs. Both of them improved significantly and scored high on the SAT. The individualized attention they received and the structured program made a huge difference in their preparation and confidence. My son is now a senior in college & my daughter will be starting college this fall. Thank you C2 staff for your dedication & support.

My son went through C2 little neck and now my daughter is currently with C2 little neck. The teachers have been phenomenal. The director is always willing to hear from us and has provide very good guidance to my children. We are very pleased with C2

Worst experience ever! Be aware if you consider to buy packages in C2 Cupertino. My experience was C2 Cupertino told me they had promotion packages that the purchased sessions will never be expired, so I purchased 200 hours and never used it until when I called them this July , they just told me that my whole 200 hours:$10k sessions will be expired THIS October and they only refund 70% of my tuition. Please be aware of this gimmick.

Do not send kids to this scam place, the counselor showed he didn't care about the kid, showed indifferent and condescending attitude and no passion during the counseling. I felt discouraged for my son by this counselor’s discouraging attitude and can’t believe the way he treated my son during the counseling session. When I tried to schedule a session with the only most helpful tutor, Brian , it's always hard to get in the session and the scheduler sometimes even yelled at me over the phone. They just wanted your money with your credit card number over the phone without explaining the contract thing in the beginning and just said it’s promised the hours will never be expired. Now they told me our all 200 hours will be expired by oct 14 this year and I have to provide my personal information like address, bank account by Oct 14 in order not to get rejected. They only provide 70% and $150 process fee for my never used 10k. Then when it comes to refund, they are always hard to reach and delay intentionally till the expiration date.

Do not waste your valuable time.The staff Suja will fool you, mimicking as if she is super busy and obliging by accepting you. First, you will be asked to schedule for your evaluation test. You will be given date after - 4 weeks, then, wait until 2 more weeks - teacher will check your answer, then super busy Suja will call you
after 2 more weeks to reveal your kid is really bad at math and English to sell you expensive package. If you want to go for few sessions package, you will be informed;" You do not have enough time to improve score" except having expensive package with frequent classes or one on one classes ( the most expensive). Well
who wasted 6 weeks just waiting to hear from C2E? Meanwhile, you will be offered college applications prep and Essay writing packages at additional price.
My kid from specialized high school wanted to improve PSAT score by 30 points to get 100%, she was been evaluated as poorly performing student and then was informed she needs many sessions to improve her
score and some one on one classes as there was little time left.My kid decided to go with Kennedy Prep instead, scored 1520 in SAT, and now accepted to 3 BSMD program.

I am very disappointed with the experience offered by C2 Education in Cupertino. I signed up for a $10,000 package, expecting it to benefit all my children. Initially, the quality was acceptable, but after the ownership changed, the quality significantly declined, and none of my kids enjoyed studying there. More importantly, the current owner seems more focused on securing signed contracts rather than improving the center's quality. I urge you to consider other options. In addition, their system is very disorganized. Their staff informed me that I had to sign a new contract to continue using my credit, so I signed it without thoroughly reading it. Later, I discovered that I had agreed to have all my $3,600 in credits expire in 45 days. As a result, I couldn't get any money back and ended up wasting $3,600.

C2 education is deceitful and untrustworthy!!!

Wish we knew better before buying many hours such that our children could use them. The director at the Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ center assured us that the hours would never expire and all the kids would be able to use them. We even have an email from them stating that the hours would never expire.
About 3 years later, we started receiving daily emails from C2 that the that the hours would expire within 8 months and we need to sign a new contract stating the same. This was contradictory to what the previous director had promised us. On top of that children were not allowed to enter the facility unless we signed the contract that hours would expire within 8 months.
We were never informed what caused this change in policy and the NJ district manager refuses to take responsibility! C2 should honor what was communicated to us in writing.
I will be looking for a different option for my kids in the future. Forcing us to sign a new contract by barring the kids from using the center is highly manipulative and just unethical!

Our experience with C2 education has been outstanding. The tutors are not only knowledgeable but also excel at making challenging subjects much easier to understand. The individualized attention and customized learning plans have been very helpful for our daughter. Also the convenient scheduling options and consistent progress updates have made the entire process smooth and effective. I highly recommend C2 education of Johns Creek

Coming from a high school graduate’s perspective, C2 is hands down the best tutoring service I’ve had. I’ve tried many other local businesses, but the quality and commitment C2 offers is miles ahead. Each and every one of their tutors are experts in everything from the SAT, ACT, AP classes, college essays, and more. Their directors and coordinators are fantastic as well—they help their students pick the sessions that are right for them and navigate through K12 and beyond.
