Caddon Hives Reviews

I ordered an assembled National hive and stand, and some flat-packed frames. All were very good quality and well put together. A slight mix up with a missing Crown Board was very easily resolved and another sent out immediately after I notified Caddon Hives - it arrived the next day.

Pete at Caddon Hives provides excellent customer service with prompt and helpful responses to all communications. The quality of Caddon hives is excellent. I purchased a BS National Western Cedar hive with a gabled roof and it is beautifully made with quality touches like metal rails in the brood and super boxes. Delivery was very quick and value for money is unbeatable. Overall excellent experience in every way. Thank you. I will be a returning customer.

Really helpful, quick delivery once we knew what we wanted and excellent quality hives.

Great service and quality of product which my bees love.

Expertly and carefully crafted goods and quick to respond to requests. Excellent customer service.

Excellent hive products with fantastic customer service. My last issue, entirely my fault for leaving it unresolved for too long, was quickly resolved to my satisfaction once raised. Thank you very much Peter Birch of Caddon Hives!

First time using Caddon Hives and was very impressed.I messed up my order and forgot some items but Pete was very helpful and I was able to add to my order online without ending up with double postage. Surprised at the speed of the delivery and the quality of everything was fabulous. Great products and great customer service. Many thanks Pete!

Caddon Hives are a great beekeeping supplies company. I have used their equipment for several years and all hive parts are very well made, great to use and long-lasting. Have used roofs, floors, wire queen excluders and other parts. Great prices and good company to order from - extremely helpful and efficient. Will order again

I (a non-beekeeper) decided to buy my friend (a want-to-be beekeeper) her first beehive for her birthday.

Caddon Hives (Pete) provided guidance on what I needed to buy and ensured the beehive was built and delivered in time for my friend's birthday. I've not seen the hive yet, but I'm assured by my friend it's beautiful, well-made and 'posh'; high praise given the recipient is a connoisseur of quality and posh-ness!

Thank you Caddon Hives, and especially Pete.

Brilliant first class service.
Quality products at competitive prices.
Efficient and friendly service

I was very pleased with the high quality products supplied by Caddon Hives and delivered without delay at a competitive price.

Great survive, fast deliver, quality hardware and helped with any problems or questions I had before and after sale.
Will be using them again in the future.

I am starting beekeeping again after a while. I am re-furbishing my hives and requested its from Caddon Hives. The delivery was swift and the quality of the wood and "fit" is excellent. I downloaded the instructions and everything worked fine with a porch completed just under two hours from delivery. I like the ethos of this small, independent company and will buy from them again.

Excellent quality hive perfect gift for my wife

I apologise to Caddon Hives for this review. Quality of wood is great and the hive would have looked fantastic but the instructions were exceptionally confusing and difficult to follow and we’ve been left with a disaster. The instructions are not a foolproof guide and If you hate flat pack this is your worst nightmare. 4 hours of frustrated swearing and checking has resulted in a wrongly built, glued (guerrilla glue too 😫) and nailed hive that looks great but when ready for bees we have realised we havnt put the bottom rails correct 🙄 and it’s now looks like it’s only good for the bonfire by the looks of it . No enjoyment whatsoever building this and Advice is buy ready built as it’s not worth the stress and risk of a very expensive mistake.

Great buying experience and good quality National hive delivered quickly and in excellent condition. I emailed a query and had a reply and resolution the same day. Very impressed so far and will definitely be using Carson for future purchases.

I bought two National hives. They were well priced , the build quality was great and the wood was top notch too . The whole process from order to delivery was so simple . I highly recommend trying Caddon hives ..

The company responded to my needs in every way, Peter came out to see us at his unit as we were later than expected after getting a little lost in the Borders, very happy with product and service.....

Ordered several times now from Caddon Hives & customer service from Peter has been fantastic. The quality of the queen excluders in the latest delivery was the best I've purchased from anywhere. Grear to see for once a company doing what it says on the tin !
