Caddon Hives Reviews

Top quality cedar brood bodies and super fast delivery - I couldn't be more pleased! I've a mix of poly and cedar hives but only ever bought cedar seconds previously, and decided to pay a bit more to replace two old brood boxes with something better quality. I've never used Caddon previously but won't be buying cedar hive parts from anywhere else now. The parts are really cleanly sawn, not a single knot to be seen and a fabulous rich red and come complete with metal runners and all the fittings - very reasonable price for the quality

ordered my first hive, quality is very good with perfect joints and no knots in the wood at all, very happy and fast delivery at a decent price. Very Happy

I have been buying Nationals from Peter for years now and indeed recommend Caddon to our new beekeepers. I have always found them well made , and the instructions to build them are clear and precise.

Amazing customer service - had an issue with delivery but this was very quickly rectified by Peter. AAAA+++
great products and packaging.
Small family run business doing the best they can during these difficult times of COVID, highly recommended, will use again.

We are delighted with Peter's customer service, good value for money and great quality of hive boxes. I was particularly impressed with the thoughtful packaging, no plastic, even the runners in the boxes are metal. Thankyou.

This my second order from Caddon Hives and despite the difficult circumstances with Covid and supply, Caddon came up trumps with my order for a national hive and stand. Excellent quality, everything fitted together brilliantly and I couldn't recommend them more highly. Will definitely go to Caddon Hives again, my bees love their new home!

These folks supply quality Western Red Cedar hives which are precisely machined so that they fit together well.....well priced and supplied with a quality deep roof.

I ordered 2 national hives, some additional supers and a couple of Nuc's too. I am not super handy with putting things together so asked for these items to come fully assembled. They arrived and are absolutely fab. They are really solid and well constructed. Having set up all of the equipment I am really pleased and feel like they are going to last for a very long time and represent really good value for money. Basically I'm a very happy customer.

I ordered a National Hive (Deep brood with gabled roof). Placed the order on Wednesday and received the hive Friday. Pete answered my query regarding p&p to Northern Ireland very quickly and the total price was very reasonable. The hive is great quality, made from Cedar with clear assembly instruction. This is the second hive I’ve bought from Caddon Hives but it won’t be the last. Thanks.

This was my second order for two national nuc boxes, previously it was for 4 Langstroths hives for our Association training apiary.

Can't fault the quality and accuracy of the joints. Would highly recommend as good value and quality for the money.

Just placed another order, excellent quality and price, I will be ordering again

Super fast and efficient service. Had a problem with with a hairline split in one of the panels which was replaced immediately. Cant recommend this company enough.

Fantastic service and quality. Pete has been really helpful and given me advice as a move beekeeper. Hives arrived well ahead of expected date and are excellent quality. Really pleased with them. Thank you

I bought two National hives and they arrived very well packaged and were very easy to assemble. A missing item was quickly delivered with out question.
Caddon-hives have been helpful throughout the order process and seem to be a good old fashioned customer friendly company.
I will be looking at their website for future purchases.
Thank you.

I bought 5 blue tit nest boxes from Caddon. They are really well-made, solid and very easy to assemble even for an office boy like me.

I have not found boxes of this quality at anything like this price.

Friendly, efficient service too.

Be great if they decided to sell similar quality nest boxes for bigger birds!

Great quality of hives - real cedar, no knots, good alignment, great smell (!!!). The instructions could be more detailed but once you build one hive, you will know what and how. I had runners missing off my brood box which they sent after I let them know.

National hive with flat roof. Just ordered a second hive, very pleased with the first one. Well made and good value. Caddon were recommended when I started bee keeping and I can see why.

This is my second national that I’ve ordered from Caddon and its just as good as the first – a talented team who clearly pay attention to the details. Great service and I'd recommend without any hesitation.
