Virtually Useless for Foot Drop

The shoes that are marketed for foot drop are not designed for that purpose. They do not address the hinge motion of the ankle that is required to help foot drop. Plus they could be dangerous even with indoor practice before heading outside.
NO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY IF FOOT DROP IS YOUR ISSUE.

I want to share my recent experience in…

I want to share my recent experience in case it helps someone else make an informed decision.

I purchased three pairs of shoes from Cadense. When they arrived, I tried them on indoors only. I never wore them outside.

After trying one pair in my home, I found them unsafe for my needs. The front of the shoes felt very slippery and did not properly support a heel-to-toe gait while wearing an AFO. For me personally, this created what I considered a serious fall risk.

Because of this, I returned all three pairs within four days of receiving them. Tracking confirms the shoes were delivered back to the company.

Since January 20, 2026, I have been attempting to obtain a refund for the returned items. The total cost exceeded $539. To date, I have only received a refund for one pair.

I have sent numerous emails (over 40), used the company’s online contact form, and left voicemails, but have not received resolution regarding the remaining refund.

While the shoes may work for some individuals, they were not safe for me. Based on my experience, both with the product and the refund process, I would urge others to review the return and refund policies carefully before purchasing.

Over advertised and overpriced in UK heavy shoes didn't really help me.

Over advertised that these shoes are so great and help with foot drop, balance, walking better etc.
I have MS and struggle to walk and I was waiting for years for these shoes to be available in UK.
Then finally it happend I was able to buy from Cadense UK for much higher price than they are originally in US.
$199 is not the same as £199
I have paid for these shoes preordeded full price, after a month and a half I had them delivered to my house with delays.
First impression was - they are very comfortable and sliding mechanism work great.
Shoes are very heavy and tall making me being even more unstable, but I gave it a go and decided to wear them couple of days to get used because they meant to be fantastic and help with mobility.
I have been wearing shoes for couple of days but decided to return them for refund.
Return policy says that if I want full refund then shoes need to be in like new resaleable condition.
Ok now my question is how can I try and check if they are good and help without wearing and not even a tiny scratch.
I was charged a fine for shoes not being in like new condition.

Sadly Cadense are expensive and not really help with mobility.
Shoes are overpriced and overadverised in my opinnion.

They making a huge money on people who desperetelly looking to improve walking.

I purchased the adaptive shoes for my…

I purchased the adaptive shoes for my foot drop. They worked pretty well, HOWEVER...... you should be aware they only last 6 months. The pad on the sole wore out and fell off. When I asked the company what the life of the shoe is, they only pointed to their 30 day guarantee. They said they cannot be repaired, and they offered no replacement. Their only response was to offer a $20 credit toward the purchase of a new pair. In my opinion, the material in the soles is substandard and is not consistent with the premium cost of this product. In addition, the company is not forthright or transparent about the expected lifetime for the shoe, and they are not willing to stand by their product.

Love my Cadense sneakers

Love my Cadense sneakers! I have MS and foot drop and these have been very helpful for me. The support and cushioning are really helpful, too. They are pricey but you can use an HSA to pay for them if needed.
There is a little bit of a learning curve getting used to the slide vs friction parts of the shoe's soles, but I adapted pretty quickly.
