Stay away!! To good to be true........

I ordered a Black Forest Cake for my husband's birthday. The cake was no where near to pictures and description on the website. The icing wasn't fresh and the quality was poor. The cake didn't look appealing as the decorations were off the cake apart from chocolate sprinkles. No one even wanted to eat any of the cake. had to bin all of it.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS CAKE COMPANY

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS CAKE COMPANY
I ordered a 16th birthday cake for my daughter it was supposed to be delivered the day before her birthday and due to DHL putting it through the wrong system I did not get it in time!
It arrived on her birthday with a 24hr delay , half her birthday was gone by the time it came and it wasn't there for when she woke up and it was a surprise, a surprise that was ruined because I spent the whole day the day before trying to find out where the cake was! Reason , well DHL didnt scan it in when they collected it therefore it sat for a whole day doing nothing when it should have been delivered the next day! It causes me a great deal of stress and the cake company didnt ring me back and still haven't replied to my phone messages iv left or my watts app messages, they are totally ignoring the whole appalling ordeal.
The cake arrived today on the day of my daughters birthday and let's just say it looks like a child has decorated it! Not worth the extortionate amount it cost me which was £110 and to top it off it wasn't even the right bloody colour! It was bright pink not neutral subtle colour that it is in the picture and half the decoration looked like it was missing on top! Im actually disgusted and iv requested a refund or at least 50% refund but they are ignoring all correspondence including my emails no response at all, poor customer service by ignoring everything, no phone call back no email back and no watts app message back disgusting. A damaged cake for my son’s 17th do not order

I ordered a cake for my son’s 17th birthday and when it arrived it was damaged and had slid to one side of the box ruining the base and the personal message. When I emailed and asked for a refund no one responded for 3 days and I was told I wasn’t entitled to a refund because of there return policy

“Damaged Products

If your cake arrives damaged:

Register your complaint within 12 hours of receiving the order.
Provide clear photos of the damaged cake and packaging.
Return the cake within 24 hours of delivery.
The cake must be returned in the same condition as received.
Email proof of return to…
Return shipping costs will be covered by the company.
Refund will be issued after inspection of the returned product.

3. Non-Return of Product

As our products are perishable, evaluation is only possible upon physical inspection.

If the product is not returned:

Refund requests will not be fully entertained.
Only a maximum of 20% of the order amount may be provided at the company’s discretion.”

So to receive a refund I would have to have returned the cake which was large in size on a Friday evening within 24hrs which which would have cost me over £80 the cake was £95. It seems to me they do have written this knowing how unachievable this is. So not only are you left without a cake for a special occasion with no time to replace you have to return to get a refund like other reviewers I will be reporting to trading standards as I believe this an unreasonable request for a damaged product.
I also rang them 5 times trying each number option and twice got sent to a voicemail that couldn’t take a message and 3 times the receiver was picked up and hung up again.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Unless you like your cakes to look like the returns section of TEMU.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Unless you like your cakes to look like the returns section of TEMU.
Ordered an 8inch naked cake with fresh strawberries for a 40th birthday. Received a small fondant cake that had been so damaged in transit it wasn't even usable. The cake was nowhere near what was ordered. It is difficult to understand how something so obviously incorrect and poorly presented could have been sent out to a paying customer in the first place. I wish I could add photos for people to see how bad it actually was.
Now I can't get hold of them to arrange a refund. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Did not receive the cake

I ordered a very expensive cake for my son’s birthday, I needed the cake on 22nd of February, I ordered it on 6th of February, and guess what, no cake was delivered. So I will have to go and buy him a supermarket cake for his party. Awful customer support, tried all morning for hours and hours to call them and no answer. After about 6 hours of trying to call and multiple voice messages I did receive an email saying that they can’t get hold of the carrier. Do not order from them, very fast and reliable to take the order, unfortunately not reliable to deliver or to communicate

I’ve just noticed on my invoice it states no refund if less than 24 hour delay .. what company would advertise this on there website ?? Finally at 12.30pm on 31st Jan they responded to my messages via WhatsApp and email to say that my delivery was lost !!!:… they could either refund me or deliver a cake today by 5.30pm but I would need to pay an extra £30!!! SERIOUSLY!!!…..I’m
Sure u can guess my reply .. this is not my fault and I have to pay for there mistake .. they did not even bother to call me just took the easy way out .. to say I’m furious is an understatement.. I have had to buy one from a supermarket .. that’s a great surprise birthday cake …. DISGUSTING customer service would not recommend to anyone .. if you see there advert ..SKIP !!!…

Absolutely awful!

Absolutely awful!! I ordered a very expensive cake for my husbands 80th birthday well in advance of the date I required it. Waited all day for the delivery & absolutely nothing & when I emailed they said it had been damaged in transit! I would get all my money back within 7 days £147.98 & I keep emailing them & occasionally they come back saying I’m in the queue!! How many more refunds do they have to do! If it is the carrier & I don’t believe it is, then change the carrier!! I will try getting my bank involved & see if they can do anything - give this Company a wide berth - I have used different cake Companies in the past & they have always been very good - this is the first time I have been let down badly😞.

Don’t use this company

Don’t use this company !
They have appalling customer service
Multiple emails, calls, online messages ignored. I ordered a cake for my daughters birthday and wanted a nice one so I was happy to pay the 100+ caker st charge,
It arrived late for a start, is no where near similar to the cake advertised and worst of all contained multiple metal pins inside the cake that held the fondant!!! A child’s cake with no warning or advisement, meaning after discovering them I couldn’t use the cake in the children’s party bags incase I’m missed a metal pin. Still 2 weeks later I haven’t had a reply from Caker st.

SCAM COMPANY

SCAM COMPANY - DO NOT ORDER! I believe this company is a scam. They did not deliver my cake and after the delivery time passed, they sent an email stating the cake was damaged en-route and they would refund me the money. I did not receive a refund. I tried calling them but no-one ever answers. I left messages and got no response. I tried the whatsApp number on their website but it said 'message not delivered'. Do not take the risk!

Save your self a lot of stress and money and do not order from this company. Birthday cake not delivered for son’s birthday 3rd Dec. Arrived 3 days late. Have been told twice since then verbally to expect a refund and also told I’d get a refund in email. But it has been two weeks and still no refund. Escalating now as £90 down and had to buy a second cake. Please shop elsewhere save yourself the grief!

Update- I involved my bank and I have finally received my £90 back. Still no communication from the company however.

DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

The following is my personal opinion:

DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

Caker Street is an absolute shit-show and this company in serious trouble, as their Customer Support center (based in India) cannot manage the number of complaints that come their way.

In November, I ordered a corporate cake for delivery to the company address, for a company celebration. I have proof of the correct delivery address registered with my order.

Payment was swiftly taken for the order. On the delivery day, the cake was delivered late, to the COMPLETELY WRONG address.

When I enquired about why the cake was not being delivered, I was sent "proof of delivery" to the wrong address (my billing address - in another part of London).

That's when communications with Caker Street stopped. Caker Street refuse to offer any refund. They ignored every message, email and voice call until today, when they responded for the first time.

Full List of Caker Street Issues:
1) Caker Street sent the cake to billing address (my personal home addres), not the delivery address (the company address)
2) Caker Street delivered the cake too late to have made it in time for the event anyway (but also to the wrong address).
3) Caker Street withdrew a payment exceeding what was on the invoice
4) Caker Street made a copy and paste error with my email address from the order, so the invoice was sent to the wrong email address.
