Ordered 6 cakes as our wedding cakes, as I preferred the option of different flavours and styles. Ordered via WhatsApp, so unsure what branch they ended up coming from.

I also had to change the delivery venue address after ordering all fine.
I hadn’t heard from them on delivery day so I sent a message and had an update quite quickly.

The cakes were beautiful and absolutely delicious - so light and fluffy. Very reasonable for the prices and perfect for us.

I read reviews after I purchased and got a little worried but cake arrived on time and delivery guy was very friendly. However, you could tell the cake was a last minute order. The writing on cake was not centred and neatly or nicely written. It tastes so much like cake box cakes very light and airy, even though I chose ‘with egg’ and the blue stained your tongue and lips and fingers. My guests sort of frowned about that as everyone was walking around with blue tongues and lips (sigh)…
I think cake box would be a better last minute cake as their designs are nicer neater and looks more professionally made.

Terrible Experience

We ordered a cake from Cakes & Bakes for 14th August, but it was a huge disappointment. The cake had no taste, no freshness, and was simply unpleasant to eat. When we went back to the bakery to show them the cake and request a refund, their manager refused to even check it and declined to return our money. Highly unprofessional behaviour. I would strongly advise against ordering cakes from Cakes & Bakes.

The cake was amazing and tasted really nice thank you will definitely be ordering again😊

Lovely little cafe selling pies, cakes and sandwiches. After ordering food for 4 people and then ordering 4 coffees I asked for a splash of milk for 1 of the coffees and was told that it would be 50p extra!!
When you go to a cafe and ask for 1 white coffee and 1 black coffee they don’t usually knock 50p off for for the black coffee.
Also some members off staff could do with taking a course on customer service ,as when questioned about the milk they were quite rude with their reply.
Will go again as I like the food but will bring my own milk!

We ordered cake on the first of the month and received them on the second of the month with lovely birthday messages and the cakes were beautiful

Very disappointed in the Strawberry Bliss Cheesecake, very sweet and little flavour.
Unfortunately not given paid for candle although refund rapidly made. Staff very courteous.

Terrible Experience

Absolutely pathetic management. I tried to return one item that seemed expensive right after checkout, but the cashier refused, saying only the manager, who shows up in the evening, can fix it. The price wasn’t displayed with the product. No flexibility, just pay and leave. Disgusting system. Never coming back.

The looks was good but the flavor inside the cake was wrong and I asked for vanilla but they put chocolate. Also it was still wet inside.

The people were very courteous and helpful.I made a mistake on my order on the collection day online but despite this, they got a cake ready for me and I was offered a coffee, while waiting.All my guests including myself enjoyed the light sponge and delicious cream.Even the owners of our venue asked where we got our cake, as it not only tasted delicious but looked great too!.I would recommend this company and use them again.Thank you so much.! Cake was meant to be pistachio flavoured and there was no taste of that. I didn’t like it

Very disappointed with my recent order of pistachio cakes by Cakes and Bakes Rayners Lane!
It does not have any flavour of pistachios or venila( sponge), It was dry !
It ruined my son’s birthday party.

The cake was dry. The message on the cake was written wrong twice, it was written awkwardly the first time and the correction ended up with a spelling mistake.

I ordered a cake last month for fathers day. Customer service was excellent and cake was delicious and fresh. It was very moist and not too sweet exactly how we wanted. We had left overs in fridge and it stayed fresh and moist as when we had ordered.

I had the mango and passionfruit cake, and it was a refreshing surprise! The tropical flavors were vibrant and natural, not overly sweet, and the soft sponge layers paired perfectly with the fruity cream. Light, zesty, and ideal for summer—definitely worth going back for.
