The story begins in 1975 when Don Jose Luna would visit close family friends at the family owned tequila distilleries in Aranda’s and would get private batches of tequila moonshine style. Overtime he developed a taste for the finest of tequilas and would share these private batches with friends and family. Around 2003, the next generation carried on the same traditions in San Diego. The demand grew and in 2014 the Luna family and close family friend, Phil Salvagio, wanted to share this special tequila. After several trips, family tastings and ensuring a craft luxury tequila – CaliFino was born.

Fun & Delicious
This was our first sampling and what a wonderful time we had. We were very fortunate to be seated with a fun crew and one of them happened to be the chef's wife, so we heard the great back story. We are huge fans of Cali Fino and this just enlightened us with their other flavors and information. Can't wait to do it again!!

Was given continual updates on delivery status! Received on Cinco De Maya (wife's birthday). Perfect timing. Move over, DJ 1942; there's a new player in town - as good or better, and it's less expensive! We're sold!!
