Good customer service, but US credit cards aren't accepted

This IS a legitimate website. It's not a scam. Amelia, Leo and Reina, especially Reina were all very helpful. It was $39, which is a good deal and they emailed me back super-fast and even on a Sunday. I needed an Italian phone number for school, but unfortunately, they do not accept credit cards from the US. I have two banks with sufficient funds, and called both my banks, but they said the charges were refused by Calilio, but Calilio said it was my banks. They told me to try using different credit cards, but nothing worked. They won't charge you, only if you're able to use the Italian phone number they provide, so it's okay. So, in the end, I was not able to receive an Italian phone number and will need to wait until I get to Italy to buy one. If you're NOT an American, this will work for you! If you are an American with only US credit cards, hope for the best!

BE CAREFUL!

BE CAREFUL!! I bought the service with the purpose of connecting a US phone number to my mobile. From day one, I faced problems.. First, the number I bought was not working, then the connection to my mobile was not working.. They fixed it, and it seemed to work for a week or two before it stopped working again. They fixed the number, but the problem was forwarding the calls to my mobile. After many back and forth and waiting... at the end, they informed me that they can not find fix the problem. I paid for a year and they refuse to compensate anything, saying the number received calls during the few days it was working.. Very unreasonable since I paid for the whole year and expecting to pay for a stable working service.

Cancellation Nightmare!

It’s been a nightmare to cancel a Calilio subscription. An odyssey of inaccurate information and bureaucracy while monthly subscription is charged without fail.

Timelines
- Opened account in March 22 and downloaded apps (Skype VOIP was being closed)
- Charged subscription fee.
- SMS facility was not at par with Skype
- Tried to cancel subscription on March 23 on apps. No functionality other than ‘Delete Account’ which triggers a message to customer service. Requested cancellation.
- Separately sent email to refund team to get subscription charge refunded (as per Calilio’s refund policy) and subscription canceled.
- One month later, no refund and charged again.
- Exchanged 12 emails with Mr Z and customer support.
- Told steps to cancel (‘ To cancel your subscription, please go to Settings > Subscription > Cancel Subscription in your account’)
- Sent screenshot of functionality not available in apps
- Told to use login via web to cancel.
- Sent screenshot showing that you can not login via web
- Called rep Mr Z but call not answered
- Opened Chat to request cancellation
- Mrs S was more helpful after having exchanged multiple chat messages
- Finally cancellation request sent to compliance team by Mrs S.
- Workspace closure confirmed after spending several hours pursuing closure
- Lets hope that i am not charged next month!
- Update+1day. Got call from Calilo. Rep listen patiently. Agreed to refund 2nd charge. Have denied their request to remove this review but will change from 1 star to 2 star.

To clarify, Calilio subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly basis unless they are explicitly cancelled by the user. It's important to note that deleting an account does not stop billing, as the system treats account deletion and subscription cancellation separately. This is why charges continued during that time.
Subscription Cancellation
The option to cancel a subscription is currently only available via our web platform (under Settings > Subscription > Cancel Subscription).
Due to security protocols, this feature is not available in the mobile or desktop applications - users are required to log in via the web to access full subscription management tools.
As part of your case, our support team provided guidance via email, along with screenshots and links to support articles to help you navigate the process. We're glad that Mrs. S was eventually able to assist and confirm that your cancellation request was processed and your workspace closed.

SMS Functionality

Regarding SMS:
Sending messages to the US and Canada requires A2P (Application-to-Person) registration, in line with telecom regulations. This process ensures proper message deliverability and compliance. We apologize if this requirement was unclear during the signup process.

✅ Your subscription has been successfully cancelled

✅ Your workspace has been closed

✅ No further charges should occur moving forward

Does not work

Does not work. I purchased and placed a call to my mobile to see if it worked, it didn't. Dialed a friend, it didn't work.

Contacted live chat and asked if the number took time to activate. They said it works instantly. Said I placed a test call to myself and a friend to see if the number was working and the customer service agent responded in bold font, with the following:

"You can make calls worldwide; however, some countries may be restricted due to their risk assessment metrics.

To proceed, please provide a valid reason for the call. and 'testing' cannot be accepted as a valid purpose."

It all works out in the end

It all works out in the end. Support needed as the set up/ payment / and number choosing is overlapping and confusing. Support however fantastic. Its register first, pay the annual fee, ignore number payment option as you can't until docs have been uploaded ( pdf not possible) I loaded mine to the chat room. As soon as they are verified, go to number purchase option and choose a number to buy.

Don't wast your time

Don't wast your time, they never delivered my phone number. Toke the payment twice. I don't think they even have the service. Beware as they collect your personal information like your address and driver's licence. This is all about getting your personal data. Do not trust this company.

Terrible service at all levels. Your voice echoes, people can’t hear you. I couldn’t use it and when asked for a cancellation/reimburse after several weeks and communications back and forth they refused to refund any money. The phone doesn’t work neither their customer service. Don’t waste your money

I used Calilio to set up a number to…

I used Calilio to set up a number to use for WhatsApp business. From their checkout page the headline text said there was a 15 day refund policy. I thought great, I’ll test.

Upon purchasing the number $15/month + $2 for a number ($17) I managed to activate it on WhatsApp for literally 90 seconds and then the number got blocked. This happened 3 times and the number constantly got blocked.

DO NOT use this service if you’re wanting a WhatsApp business number. There are cheaper alternatives that work better and don’t get blocked!

They’re refusing to refund the $17 because the number got ‘activated’.

Misleading guarantee, and I would not recommend!
