Good content in a somewhat clunky app. It is difficult to navigate and even more difficult to figure out downloads for offline listening. Do subscribe through google so you can cancel if you need to. I have been a subscriber for two years and overall, am relatively pleased with the product. They could improve the interface.

I was charged the very first day of my supposedly 7-day free trial. I have asked for a refund from Google Play Store and have contacted the Calm executives explaining what has happened. I am anxiously waiting for their responses. I do not recommend this app.
Admin slow to respond, but persistence pays
I attempted to cancel my annual subscription several months ago (a very convoluted process), and thought I had succeeded. However, it auto renewed this year with no prior warning - which is illegal in UK. Wrote to Calm admin on 21 October politely, explaining the issue and asking for a refund as I have not used the app in all this time and they are legally obligated to provide a renewal reminder before taking the money. I got a placeholder email on 23 October saying they'd be in touch. It is now 31 October and I am yet to hear back about this. I guess I will have to approach my bank to cancel the direct debit now in case this happens next year.
Edit. Was contacted by Calm this afternoon & refunded. Not sure if the review was the deciding factor, but at least it's sorted now. They claimed to have sent a renewal reminder. Have searched my mailboxes, including junk mail, and still can't see it.
Calm.com Trial thru Ryze Coffee
I ordered Ryze Coffee and it had a “Calm - 3 months free” offer. I didn’t anccept the trial and I never logged in, but 3 months later I had a $48.99 charge from Calm.com. I contacted Calm, no help. I called Ryze, no help. Then I called my credit union.
My credit union reversed the charges, then Calm sent them an invoice (that I had never seen) saying the charge was authorized by Ryze. My credit union reversed the credit based on that invoice, so I was back to stage 1. Then Calm told me to cancel my dispute with my CU so they would be able to credit me. After 4 weeks with no refund, I reported them to the BBB.
BBB took the report and after a bit of a wait, let me know Calm never responded to my report (BTW, they have an “F” rating from the BBB). Two months later I unexpectedly received a refund - all I’d really wanted so I was pleased. My last to-do was to cancel my Ryze Coffee subscription since that’s who gave my billing info to Calm. Frustrating, esp if you’re on a tight budget.

CalmPro 5 works for me and is amazing.
Approximately 7 months ago I was in so much pain with neuropathy I couldn't walk and most times just sitting I would have terrible pain and nothing was helping. Taking pain pills didn't work. I found an advertisement about CalmPro 5, my wife said it was probably a scam, but I was at the point of not being able to stand the pain and longer. I ordered my first CalmPro 5, within a week of receiving the order most of the pain was gone and I could walk much better. Using CalmPro 5 has been a continuous improvement and now I'm pain free and not taking any pain pills, CalmPro 5 is not a scam I thank CalmPro 5 and I will continue to purchase this product.

Impossible to cancel subscription. There is no phone number. I tried disputing with my credit card. The solution from the credit card was to just pay it and they would send me a new credit card, with a new number, so they couldn't do this again next year,
Calm? More like a calm Scam
I signed up for the Calm app thinking I’d try it during the free trial. I never used it and canceled before the trial ended—or so I thought. Somehow they still charged me, and I honestly don’t even know how they got my card info.
Trying to resolve it? Impossible. Just vague, automated AI responses and no real help. No clear way to cancel, no way to speak to a human, and no accountability.
This isn’t a wellness app—it’s a Calm scam. It left me feeling frustrated, ignored, and anything but calm. Be careful before signing up. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.
