Great job on costumer device and keeping us informed on status of the accounts. Would liked to given you 5 stars, but would have liked a little more one on one conciliation, online forms for budgeting. Found Karen McCall “Financial Recovery” would be an interesting addition to your online library.

Great service

Great service, I was constantly kept up to date on the accounts. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is they need to pay their software writer an extra couple bucks to make the final payoff come out even. Skip the need for the 2 or 3 dollar refund checks.

Very straight forward plan to help you…

Very straight forward plan to help you get back on the right track. One caution: be aware that you will need to ensure the first month's payments are fully up-to-date so that Cambridge can take over the following month.

You were behind on my payments even…

You were behind on my payments even though you took the money out of my account 2 weeks prior to when it was due. I kept getting delinquent notices from my bank. I feel the fee is ridiculous as nothing was done other than withdrawing my money from my account and sending it to the CC company and at times you were late in doing so.

Reply from Cambridge Credit Counseling

Dear Ms. Perry,

Your account was transferred to our agency in July 2017, when your original agency, Cornerstone, decided to retire from this business. At that time, we reviewed all of your accounts and confirmed that you were current on all of them. The only issue we could discover involved a due-date change required by one of your creditors, Huntington Bank. We left you a message and sent an email to you so we could notify you of your creditor’s requirement, but never received a call back. When we learned in November that you had never requested the change in due date change, we contacted you to remind you of the importance of following through on your creditor’s request and you hung up on our representative because you were at work and said you were too busy to discuss it. (Our calls are recorded.)

As with all clients, though a debt management plan can be extremely effective in reducing monthly payments (Your interest rates were reduced to between 6% and 7.99%.), there is a shared responsibility in the outcome of the plan. In your case, your payment history was nothing short of excellent – 30 on-time payments until your accounts were paid in full. Your only shortcoming had to do with the aforementioned due-date change. We stress with all clients that their creditors will continue to communicate directly with them, through monthly statements, etc. We also emphasize that Cambridge does not receive those communications. When we learned, after the fact, that you hadn’t responded to the due date change request, we did our best to get you to follow through and make that easy change, but you became frustrated and hung up on us causing the due date to never get changed and you would have continued to receive notices from them until you paid them off in December 2018.

In closing, we congratulate you on becoming debt-free through our program and wish you continued success in your future.

Now I am. Free and able to put some money in savings. Thank you Cambridge!

I recommend Cambridge Credit Counseling…

I recommend Cambridge Credit Counseling to anyone in need of financial help to resolve past due bills. The help I received saved my life. Within 3 years I paid off $4,000.00 in credit card bills. I also referred my sister and she paid off bills and repaired her credit within a couple years. From my experience the staff at Cambridge Credit Counseling were supportive, patience and made me feel comfortable about the situation.
