Avoid, SCAM
I ordered from Camden-London.com and only found out after placing the order that the products were being shipped from China.
I purchased wedding shoes from them because they offered a UK size 14, which is an unusually large size and left me with limited options, as I needed matching shoes for the groomsmen.
The experience has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. Their stated customer service response time of 24 hours has not been accurate. Despite nearly two weeks of emailing them, I have heard nothing back from the company. The only email I received was the order confirmation, which included a Chinese tracking number. The tracking then showed nothing other than a label being created for 12 days, with no clear sign that the parcel had moved or reached the UK.
Had I known the order was being shipped from China, I would not have placed it, especially with the shoes being for my wedding. With the current fuel issues and flight cancellations, international shipping from China is far from ideal, and this should have been made clear before taking payment.
The shoes have now arrived and the issues are even worse than expected. The sizes sent are completely wrong compared with what was ordered. I ordered two UK 9s, two UK 10s, one UK 11 and one UK 14. Instead, they sent the equivalent of two UK 7s, two UK 8s, one UK 9 and one UK 11. This means most of the order is unusable, and the UK 14 pair, which was the main reason I ordered from them in the first place, has not been supplied at all.
The shoes also look nothing like the photos online. The material is plastic rather than leather, the pattern is not accurate, the heels are made of foam, and the shoes arrived smelling strongly of smoke. The quality is extremely poor and completely misrepresented.
These were ordered for my wedding, so I have now been left out of pocket and forced to find replacement shoes at the last minute. Given they are shipped from China, there is no realistic way a replacement order could arrive in time, and based on the quality of what has arrived, I would not want replacements anyway.
Please avoid. I am now pursuing a full refund and chargeback through my bank.
