Impeccable Customer Service

I ordered a steady cam from their factory direct in China and once I got it, we realized that there were some machining issues with the item that it could not be properly balanced. I was very frustrated because obviously I had waited a while to get it from the China factory over here in the US and it didn’t work and it was going to take a lot of time to get a refund so I reached out to their customer service department by email. Their customer service was actually incredible and was even able to give me an expedited refund so for that reason, I would trust buying from this company in the future.

Just Know What You're Buying!

This isn't rocket science. If you can't afford name brand items you're going to get lower quality stuff. I've purchased many items from CAME and they were mostly what I expected. I would never buy anything they claim is high end or professional because it's just not. It serves a purpose for those on a budget but don't expect a similar substitute for true professional gear. If you can't afford professional gear then you're not a professional. Their products work for one off projects or weekend warrior stuff but you won't get every day heavy duty use out of the majority of their stuff. They do serve a place in the market but just know your buying low quality and should move up to true professional gear when finances allow.

I rarely write reviews (though use…

I rarely write reviews (though use Trustpilot as my default ‘first port of call’ to learn about a Co. I haven’t used before) - so - I made my purchase with serious hesitation as the reviews here were generally ‘1 star’ ... only doing so because I couldn’t find another Co. supplying what I was looking for & at a price I could afford ... Nonetheless parting with £800 on ‘hope’ / with fingers crossed was an uncomfortable gamble.

Others (usually regards lighting - not applicable to me - mine are from Aputure) have said that the lights don’t last or are poor quality & that customer service is pretty well non-existent.

The product I ordered?
“Dolly And Track Straight Rail And Curved Rail JX300B”

I lost my nerve after 5 days of placing my order. I hadn’t received any correspondence beyond a receipt at time of payment & their website states ‘Postage within 3-5 days of an order being placed’, so, sent an email to their European email address ... & half-expected not to receive a reply.

Less than 12 hours later: a reply to say that the order was not available from their European warehouse so was coming from China, but, they also provided a FedEx tracking number ... which I’ve checked daily (as, honestly, I was still sceptical).

Today: 24 hours ahead of estimated delivery (& despite issues, globally & on our UK borders, with Covid) my order has been delivered!

All packaging opened - all component parts thoroughly checked & tested - there’s actually a second case supplied (same decent calibre as the ONE shown in the advert for the additional sections of track I ordered) ... all BEYOND FAULTLESS in every way ... PERFECT (& I’m hard to please) - I CAN NOT THANK THIS Co. ENOUGH!!!

Incidentally - I run a wee Dog Training & Walking Co. - just bought my own home & pennies are tight, but, want to branch out in to ‘pet portraits’; this is ideal for my needs.

I own a Boltzen 55w and after 6 months…

I own a Boltzen 55w and after 6 months it started to flicker upon contact they said its an incorrect Battery being used I have to use theirs, being a little nieve i bought theirs for an over priced amount, upon receiving the battey it was the exactly the same specs as all of my batteries i was using.. flickering still happened with there battery so it wasn't the battery so.. back to them for warranty ..well this is where it is just bad bad bad warranty service. they then said no we won't do the repair you will........... umm I was like what Im doing the repair ?? yes thats correct they sent me out the mother board to replace but wait it gets worse the mother board was different to the original with different cabling i had to then solder it in the mother board.. I have never ever heard that the customer has to solders in there own warranty repair . Upon complaining they said its this or nothing. they then sent me a very bad 720p video from a bad phone camera to show me how to do it. it was so bad i couldn't see certain soldering points they then sent me a better one but..but not much better, the point is who the heck gets the customer to solder in the new mothner board i WILL NEVER EVER EVER BUY from this company again. Shame on your warrant policies to get the customer to do there own repair DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY...!!!!

Worst company I have ever dealt with

Worst company I have ever dealt with. Item took weeks to arrive. When it did it was faulty. Now they want me to pay to return item to China at a cost of ONE HUNDRED POUNDS. They claim if item is faulty that the customer pays for return. I am now doing a charge back with Visa. If your item is faulty you will LOSE A LOT OF MONEY. The quality of the items Aare very poor and all those people on YouTube who love them...It's called sponsored videos. They review all their products and love them because they get money to do so and free items.

Horrible Return Policy in the First 90 Days

Very very bad return policy and warranty. 30 days is hardly enough time to test out the usage of a gimbal. Especially in the winter time. Mine failed on my first shoot, about 35 days after I bought it. Amazon refused to return it, and Came-Tv's replacement policy is very bad. They want you to recalibrate the gimbal yourself, but when that doesn't work, they want you to send it back to them and they only replace required parts, while you foot the bill for shipping.
If an item fails in the first or second usage, there should be better recourse under a 1 year warranty. It failed during my first indoor shoot.
Don't buy from Came-tv go with name brand.

WOULD NOT BUY ANOTHER THING FROM CAME-TV!!!!

So I don't like writing negative reviews and I think this is my first one. I am writing mainly for the lack of customer service and defective products that I find unacceptable. Hoping this review helps others know what they're getting themselves into.

Firstly my company bought a CAME - TV Single Gimbal and after a few weeks, we received a letter saying something like,"Please don't use the battery that was sent to you with the unit, as it's a defective batch".

So we waited "weeks" to receive the new battery to finally use it. We were cool, although inconvenienced, by having to hire a gimbal for an upcoming project, we didn't bother making a fuss about it. Plus they were based in China, so what could we do?

Then after a few months, we found it wasn't working. After a few emails, we were asked to send it back.

During the time it was being repaired, we were desperately in need of a gimbal for a 2-3 week shoot so because the CAME Single was getting us the shots we needed (when it was working) we decided to purchase a CAME Argo because they couldn't give us a date on when we'd get the CAME Single back, so we figured it would be safer to just buy a second gimbal at least we'd have a backup.

Then after a few week of using the CAME Argo, the bluetoth remote, (which you need to operate it) broke where the USB cable connects. i.e You could no longer charge it! So they at least sent a replacement one.

Then a few months after that, the "ON" button on the CAME Argo battery pack, decides it's going to break off too. Under warranty, we send emails to tech support only to be ignored.

Prompting us to spend another few hundred dollars on the Quick Release V Power Pack. (Again, purely because we NEEDED a gimbal for our production).

In the meanwhile we got our CAME Single back. After another couple of months it decided to die on us again... YES "AGAIN" this time, we sent a video showing exactly what happened along with an email showing what happened.

We then received an email with a few steps to follow (all of which I did) and responded to a man named Ryan in tech support. This reply was sent in April 12th, 2017.

My reply was as follows -
.............................................
Hi Ryan,

To answer your questions;

1. Yes I’ve triple checked that it’s secure

2. The battery is 100% working.

3. No unusual behaviour - Show’s solid red when low batt and solid green when fully charged.

4. I only connected (or tried to connect) at step 5a.

5a. - Done this and attempted to connect using various versions of the Simple BGC software to establish a connection with no success.
See attached screen recording of GUI v2.43 b9

I downloaded and tried the additional versions - SimpleBGC_GUI_2_56b7, SimpleBGC_GUI_2_55b3, SimpleBGC_GUI_2_50b3, SimpleBGC_GUI_2_55b3

5b. - No connection was established within the software, I also tried about 4 different cables (which I used for my old USB 2.0 External HDD’s and the gimbal would start flashing - see video “GIMBALFLASHING.mov”

I also tried 1 cable that I used to charge an old digital camera with (When I tried with this cable, the SINGLE didn’t light up, so i’m assuming it isn’t a data cable and the others are )

I’ve also attached screen recording of trying to connect to the software and you can see the error message below “Serial Data Corrupted”?

Note - I tried connecting to two different USB serial ports (LEFT AND RIGHT) on two different MacBook Pros with the same outcome/message

Can you please provide the next steps - Thanks

.............................................

I have sent 2 follow up emails in JUNE AND JULY, WITH NO RESPONSE!!!!

After spending easily over $3000 USD in total with them and referring them to a lot of other producers here in Australia. They decide to ignore emails when the consumer can't fix the problem.

Sorry that's not how the world works. If something is broken and it's under warranty, it should be fixed.

Anyhow, time to find a new gimbal supplier by the looks of it. If anyone wants an unusable gimbal, let me know!

The product worked perfectly and i placed a new order, and it came 4 days after.
I could track and trace the package the hole way, super support.
