Our guide was exceptional ( Francesco). He was so responsive to everyone’s needs- adjusted each day, bought lunches to save time, knew the terrain, managed expectations and was fun. Loved him

Very nice experience
Very nice experience. Our rooms were nice in each town. The brief descriptions of the days walks were helpful. As we elected to have our bags sent ahead it made for an easier trip.
As we did the Camino in the low season we had a little hiccup in Amenal where we found the hotel to be closed. Luckily they had another place for us to stay and our bags were waiting for us. We only had an hour of stress.

Well Planned Trip By Camino Ways
Everything was well planned by Camino Ways. We had a fantastic trip. Probably the only thing was that we booked for early March. We only found out on the walk, that most places don't open until the 1st of April! So limited refreshment stops and definitely no bathroom stops available! The closer we got to Santiago, the more places were open. The sense of wonder at arriving at the cathedral was far greater than we had imagined it would be. It is truly amazing.

Overpriced accommodation
Baggage transfer worked fine. Hotels were very average to poor and very overpriced for the quality of accommodation. Due to the lack of good food options in the hotels we needed to take cabs every evening to eat as the hotels were also off the beaten track.

The personnel at the hotels were not…
The personnel at the hotels were not aware of their responsibility to drive us forward, at our request, to start on long hiking days, eg, 15-18 mile days; but worse, they were totally unaware and unprepared to come get us in the case someone was having a problem. In fact, one of the pilgrims did have a problem which turned into a crisis since no help was forthcoming. In general, communication and alignment between the hotels and CW was inadequate.

Very efficient booking and transport of…
Very efficient booking and transport of cases, and responsive quickly to issues raised. The hotels were convenient and pleasant, although some offered only a limited menu for "half board" customers, which seemed unnecessary. I had an issue with an airport taxi where I ended up paying twice, but CaminoWays refunded me very quickly. The Google maps they provided were also very useful. A great way to start out on the Camino using their knowledge and resources.

Camino Ways were faultless, from the quotation process, to the small add ons(car pick up to/from airport, extra night in Santiago), everything handled with minimal fuss and professionalism, the trip itself was faultless, everything was as planned, cars were at the destination on time, pack pickup/drop off were perfect, all the accommodation was of extremely high standard and no confusion at time of check-in, 100% for Camino Ways on delivering on everything, made the whole trip more enjoyable, definitely will use them again.
