The ultimate fabric for plate carriers, vests, chest rigs and other tactical gear, the Squadron™ B52 fabric comprises of a double layer of 500D Cordura nylon (2 layers laminated back-to-back) that is water repellent. This Squadron fabric is thick and extremely rugged. It is ideal for laser cutting applications, allowing for MOLLE attachment, without the need to add webbing to the load bearing equipment. Made in the USA and Berry Compliant.

It’s easy to sew (use a cutting needle, not a universal) and is easy to laser cut. Depending on your laser, you may find the fabric has a residue on it, so be prepared to use a toothbrush to clean it off. Plus the material properties are stellar. Hydrophobic, 500D, cool name, and it’s good to go. The only con is the price. $70 pr/yd is expensive, no matter which way you slice it.
