Bought new bailey caravan in Nov 2022
Bought new bailey caravan in Nov 2022, nothing but trouble in a d out of repair shop, sent them emails in regard to getting my money back, no answer tried through citizen advice as a not fit for purpose item, under consumer act 1975, but still no joy, as all the items had been repaired under warranty so if you find yourself in this situation act on it sooner than I did as Campbells will not help you at all, once they have your money that's it.
LEAVE WELL ALONE, DO NOT TOUCH THUS COMPANY.
Thanks for the reply actually it is correct I have voiced this concern from the first year we bought it, and most recent last year, without reply once again, this caravan has been in the workshop longer than we have used it, it was manufactured and assembled cheaply and with no end of line proper assessments.

Straight forward and honest customer…
Straight forward and honest customer service, professional and no BS to deal with like most other caravan companies i dealt with over the years.
Originally purchased new Caravan from them in 2021, perfect service and easy to deal with. Just sold the same caravan back to them it the most simplistic way after being messed about by other so called reputable dealers.
From start to finish, buying and selling back i engaged with 2 directors from Campbells and they made both my transactions easier.
Couldn't ask for more, a 1 stop shop for your caravan requirements. Honest and approachable staff from top to bottom, time and care matters and they give both!!
AVOID AVOID AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Where to start? I purchased a new Bailey caravan from them in 2024. During the handover, they brought us to our new caravan while taking our old one to inspect. We had just had a service a few months prior, which showed no damp whatsoever. However, they called us over and said they would have to deduct £3,000 from the trade-in price because the caravan was "riddled with damp." We were shocked, especially since we had serviced it every single year with no issues at all. After reading that this has happened to a few people, I would advise anyone considering a trade-in to accompany them during the inspection.
After bringing the caravan home, we put it straight into storage since we had traveled over 60 miles. A week later, we received a phone call informing us that the door was wide open. Upon inspection, we discovered that the door was opening even when locked. My husband called for assistance but was basically told it was not their problem, and we should sort it out under warranty.
We closely inspected the caravan and found 15 faults, including unfinished trim, misaligned cupboards, a chipped shower board, and missing mastic in several places in the shower, along with bubbling graphics on the exterior. We documented everything with photos and videos. Given the number of issues, we exercised our right to reject the caravan since it was within 30 days; in fact, we rejected it after just 12 days.
Mike Barnes informed us that the faults did not impair the use of the caravan and were considered minor. He insisted that he needed to inspect the caravan. We allowed Cambells to collect it and advised them via email not to attempt any repairs. A week later, we received a phone call stating that all faults had been fixed and that we had to accept the caravan back. Mike Barnes asserted that we were not entitled to a refund.
Understanding our rights, we contacted our solicitor (most people may have legal protection through their home insurance, so it’s worth checking). What followed were 18 months of emails in which Cambells Caravans refused to provide a refund. We even received a call warning that if we did not collect it, they could not guarantee what would happen to the caravan while left in their possession.
We stood firm on our principles and agreed to wait for court proceedings. Cambells eventually offered a refund but refused to cover any legal fees. However, the day before the court hearing, they finally offered the full amount we were requesting to cover the cost of the caravan along with significant legal fees. It is satisfying to know they had to pay thousands more in costs than if they had simply refunded us in the first place. Everything mentioned can be verified through emails and photographs in case they attempt to deny it.
I advise anyone to be cautious and avoid buying a caravan from them due to their shocking aftersales service. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM SHOCKING AFTERSALES SERVICE.
Edit after Campbells review
They flagged this review as containing defamatory content. It was rejected by trust pilot. Everything I have said is true. Under the consumer rights we were sold faulty goods. We were told wrongly that we had to accept the goods and have it fixed There were 15 faults and not acceptable for a brand new caravan. We exercised our legal right to reject. The lengthy process was because Campbells would not accept this. We were not at any point offered our deposit back when they said our caravan was damp.

Over and above
We had an issue with our caravan that we had recently bought and Neil from dispatches came to our house in Cheshire and tried to resolve. Whilst the van has had to go back Neil was outstanding and his support and reassuring. We look forward to picking it back up next week . Thanks Neil for your continued support and great humour

Excellent Company. Highly recommend them.
We've just part-exchanged our treasured campervan for a used Autosleepers motorhome. Our first contact was with salesman Neil who was excellent. Understood our needs, made helpful suggestions and introduced us to our new van. We weren't looking to make a deal as we had a list of other vans to view. He had a quick look at our van and made us a very generous offer and we went away to consider it. The following day I rang back and Neil was great on the phone and we closed the deal. 2 weeks later, we returned to swap vehicles and had a really excellent handover from Darren who was really spot on. A couple of things he didn't know, but instead of waffling, he found out and was tireless in swapping number plates (several times) as we got some conflicting results from the DVLA. Kelly completed the sales and finance package very efficiently. The van was beautifully prepared and we felt good at every point if contact. We are over the moon with the van, the prices we paid and attention received. Can't recommend them too highly. Bought the motorhome a few presents from the well stocked shop too.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE !!
AVOUD LIKE THE PLAGUE !!! If I could give this company less than 1 star I would. Don’t trust them, when they say there is no damp, strongly advise you to get an Independant report. We exercised our right to reject the motorhome within 30 days of purchase. The motorhome was damp despite Campbells own damp report saying it wasn’t. Reported to trading standards. The Director is bolshy and ignorant. Will never buy from them again and will never recommend them either. We only got our money back when we threatened legal action and provided a new damp report. They didn’t have a leg to stand on and they knew it.

I bought a caravan with Neil as the dispatcher. Everything was smooth sailing from purchase to collection. Everything was explained thoroughly
Buy elsewhere, poor quality even if new
Purchased a 25 plate motorhome and from signing on the dotted line the customer care was poor. The van has a lot of defects that they have poorly tried to fix. Locking wheel nut was missing and took 3 months of chasing to get one. If they say they will call you back they wont. Van wasn't clean or valeted on pick up and after spending nearly £70,000 with add ons we are not happy with our purchase and looking to seek further advice. Buy from else where.. poor aftercare and quality.

After dealing with company for over 30 years do not go near them spent thousands of pounds this review has nothing to do with the staff just the MD Chris bought a new Bailey deluxe alvor what a load of rubbish shocking build quality awning tracks full of silicon blinds not working but worse thing was when the pull out bed collapsed barely strong enough for a child the owner new about this my wife really hurt her back massive bruises to her face and head he never even had the decency to ring up only interested in profit not fit to own a company disgusting stay well away sold the van now lost £10.000 in a few weeks no offer of compensation for van or my wife’s injury
Caravan purchase
We bought a baileys unicorn touring caravan at a fabulous price the salesman was fantastic not rushing us, not pushing for a sale he gave us all the time we needed. Loved when we went to pick it up and our name was on the tv screen congratulating us. After sales - there was no bunk bed fall out panels they sorted this out no fuss, no hassle. I would definitely go back for next purchase. Thank you we love our caravan.

excellent customer service! So reassuring in this day and age!
Trish and her team are a credit to Campbells Caravans Service Department. I took my Lunar Clubman to them to deal with some issues with damp ingress. They were extremely helpful, cheerful and reassuring and did everything to complete any repairs promptly. This meant that I did not have to cancel my outing. They kept me informed every step of the way. Customer service at its best! Well done and thanks so much for all your professionalism and help!

Great Customer Service
In September 2024 we bought a brand new Bailey Endeavour Campervan from Campbells Caravans. After the handover we found numerous faults all of which had been there when the vehicle came from the Bailey factory some of which would have required the vehicle to be returned to the factory for repair.
After raising the issues with the manager they were ultimately escalated to one of the directors Daniel Campbell.
He invited us to meet him and discuss the problems with our vehicle. Daniel listened carefully to the issues we had raised and worked hard to find a solution to the problems.
Communication between us was mainly by email and the responses were always polite and prompt which helped reduce a stressful situation.
The situation was resolved when Daniel offered to provide us with a brand new replacement vehicle from Bailey at no cost to us which had only just been converted in November 2024.
The brand new vehicle arrived from the Bailey factory and we were able to check it over before it was registered with DVLA.
In December we collected our replacement vehicle which has been a pleasure to drive .
I would like to thank Daniel and all the staff at Campbells for the friendly and customer focused way that they dealt with us.
I consider Campbells to be an excellent firm and I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them
Excellent customer service
Just purchased new Bailey Sintra from Campbells caravans who throughout were very efficient, friendly and gave good part exchange despite us having damp on previous caravan. We collected the caravan yesterday everyone could not have done more for us and in 30 years of caravan ownership and 8 previous new purchases this was by far best experience ever.Thank you Campbells and look forward to returning for first service !
Warranty dispute resolved.
We want to express our thanks to Trish and the service centre team for their help in resolving a dispute we had with a warranty issue with the manufacturer of our caravan. Trish particularly persevered in dealing with our problem and was very supportive to us. Thank you and to also to Campbells for their contribution and to the repair centre for carrying out their work promptly .

Great customer service
Recently visited Campbells Caravans shop at Lostock Hall to buy a new air awning and discuss our holiday experiences. Ben and Emma were again very helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were wholly satisfied. Their independent advice is always constructive and appreciated.
ANNOYED
This company is going to be named and shamed.
We have ha numerous faults with our 2015 motorhome and 3 workshops could not find the fault, it’s still there we had 6 weeks of hell I failing on one out it failed on a petrol station blocking 2 pumps. We found faults in previous mots so we started with citizens advice and trading standards with the legal requirement to and recorded letters and emails of which 1 letter was ignored and emails up to today ignored.
Mr Mike Barnes needs to go on a customer care course including some of his service staff.
So we have done everything legal of which they haven’t and our lawyer says that this vehicle was miss sold and and not fit for purpose.
As recorded in paperwork before we bought it.
We shall be passing information to the BBC avoid at all cost next is ICO.
Absolutely Terrible Experience - Avoid this Dealer
We ordered a new Bailey Motorhome from this dealer and took delivery in March 2022. The handover was poor and the guy could not get through it quick enough. There was no sign of the salesman who sold us the van. We found numerous faults inside and outside the van. Over the next 18 months many other faults developed. This included a water ingress issue that they never repaired. Paint peeling on the bonnet which was caused by a botched repair before we got the van. Other repairs were botched, wrong parts ordered, causing massive stress. The after sales from this company was abysmal, dishonest and incompetent. Be very wary of having any dealings with Campbells.

excellent deal very honest and helpful, couldnt do enough for you, this is my fourteenth motorhome purchase and without doubt the best.if you use campbells caravans the names to ask for are mike shaw salesman, handover neil and general manager jenny wright, these people are very knowledgeable and very helpful if they say i will call you back then that is what they do.mike howard, darlington
Deplorable after sales service
One star is too much for this after sales service. Fast enough to sell a caravan but slow at rectifying issues. Still awaiting infill cushions so we can make our 4 berth van into an actual 4 berth!!!
And no table (removed by previous owner I imagine) yet. When are you expecting these and when will you let us know!!!!
This has been going on for weeks and weeks, your ‘couldn’t care less attitude’ when we contact you is rude. (Especially when we are told more than once ‘Sold as seen’). Isn’t this illegal to use that phrase now?? I would not recommend Campbells to ANYONE!!
