Poor Customer Experience

Recently I placed an order with CAMPERiD for an item and waited the period that it was to be shipped including beyond the delay period fr COVID-19. When checking back for the status of my order, I was notified that the product had been discontinued and they could not find where to get the item I ordered. With this know why should it take that long to notify your customer and then ask the customer if they want a different product. Poor Customer Experience...as a first time customer I will not be returning.

Run don’t walk away from this place

Run don’t walk away from this place. Ordered a mattress online and paid for shipping, only to receive another bill from FedEx. We have spent countless hours calling, emailing and nothing except lies from their customer service. Always some other excuse, from needing pictures of the mattress tag to needing to work with the manufacture. You can’t get ahold of any kind of supervisor, and they never call back like they say.

I gave one star because you cant give zero

Ordered a sw6de and the page said 11 in stock and shipping next day. Then the confirmation email said shipping date was undetermined. After finding another company that really does ship same or next day, I called to cancel. The person barely spoke English. I was charged for cancelling and had to call CC company to void that charge. Very dishonest and I am not a customer any more.

Terrible all around experience.

I ordered a generator that was listed in stock on their website. I received an email within an hour stating the item would be shipped on 6/10/20.
Two days later (the 11th) I receive an email saying the item is back ordered and that these generators are "built to order". Something didn't smell right as no company that big could build every single generator to order. I ended up calling the manufacturer and they stated there are currently zero back orders and they do not build units to order. The only thing they need is a PO number from CamperID and they can ship it out that day. I spoke with Dexter at CamperID only to get the typical "we will look into it. Check back in 24-48 hours." They clearly do not care whatsoever about you or your order.

Update 6/18/20. I've followed up with CamperID on the phone in yet another futile attempt to get this product shipped to me only to be told that there is nothing they can do but they will happily cancel the order. I was a bit put off that they offered so quickly to cancel and refund but I decided at this point that was probably the best course of action. You would think that would be the end of it but no, this is CamperID I'm dealing with, there is no bottom to how low they will go! I paid $955.xx for the generator, plus $41.xx shipping costs, and CamperID says they will refund a grand total of $906! I was beside myself and asked why, to which they said that since they had price matched OTHER items in the order that they were distributing that price match among all the items purchased in the order so my refund is only $906.xx for something I paid $997.xx for. So, since I don't want to get screwed out of $100 I'm stuck waiting on a generator that I doubt will ever show up and I will have to likely end up having to file a claim with my credit card company to get a full refund. This company is full of thieves and liars and employees that seem to go out of their way to not do their jobs. RUN from this company!!

Camperid representative on the phone…

Camperid representative on the phone was super nice, knowledgeable about the product that I had questions about, was shipped when she said it would ship and arrived on time. The product I purchased (tankless RV water heater & door) was correct, fit, and as described. Will definitely call them again.

Maxxair powered Vent fan Is awesome

Maxxair powered Vent fan Is awesome! It works great the fan is very powerful. I've read other reviews where people complained about the remote having to be directly underneath the vent for it to work. I Installed it in my 2019 Ford transit 250 high roof cargo Van And I operate it by pointing the remote through the cargo divider door holes While sitting in the driver seat and it works every time.

Stay away.....far, far away

Know this...the true test of any company is not how things are when they work out, but how the company deals with its mistakes. That's what separates the good ones from the bad.

First off, I have owned five businesses over 40+ years and have vendor experience with the credit card agreements that must be adhered to in order to accept those cards for transactions. That said, I encountered this company via an order placed over CarID. Onyx is a parent that owns several on line marketing presences that all follow the xxxxxID format.

What others have stated...being called a liar, being told that the onus is on you the customer to PROVE that they made a mistake, being lied to, and the other negatives....are all things I have experienced with them over their failure to deliver correctly what I ordered. These are not acceptable within the major card or PayPal agreements. Basically, a customer has to identify an issue and the vendor has to pursue a timely and equitable solution or the issuer will step in and 95% of the time will resolve in favor of the customer. Vendors know this and their feet are held to the fire since too many interventions will result in a non-compliance cancellation of the agreement. Period, no arbitration, no 2nd chance.

As of today, I'm two weeks into zero resolution of a $400 charge for a product that I did not get. Let's just say, I ordered Black, and got White. Unless I'm blind...that should be sufficient for them to go into action and return White and either ship Black if available, or refund money without any hurdle race being run.

At the first encounter of their absurd customer service set up, I immediately escalated to PayPal with all documentation, photos etc. in order to set up a third party audit trail and force ID into good faith. Second, and I fully recommend this step to anyone...obtain Google voice and use it by only returning calls if you can't use email consistently for your back and forth correspondence. Why? When you initiate a call using GVoice, you can press 4 and both sides of the call are recorded. Two things are in play now...the recording can be distributed just like any other file. Any call, whether or not both parties were aware of the recording, can be used in a court of law to refute lies being presented by the opposing party. And this is the most compelling reason, when you call them, there's a short announcement that the call is being recorded by them. Your recording doesn't require any announcement because by virtue of employment, their people have already agreed to recording, not knowing that it goes both ways...it's called mutual acceptance of the t's and c's of a contract.

Or better yet....my advice....stay away....far away from any online merchant that has ID at the end of their address. You may get what you want...but if you don't you're in for a lot of B/S.

Ordered Dicor Fiberglass roof coating

Ordered Dicor Fiberglass roof coating. Would ship product within 24 hrs. and take about 7 days. Called customer service after 10 days and they said it was lost in shipping. UPS ground tracking had package in Orlando for 4 days? How do you complete a job when they could have sent another when they knew the package was lost. I'll leave it up to your imagination. Waiting now for a refund. Ugggggly

Excellent RV Resource

There was enough product data, measurements and dimensions, on the website so that I was confident that I was ordering the correct piece of equipment for our RV trailer. The item was delivered two days earlier than the stated delivery date and was a good value for the price. I consider CamperID a valuable resource and will shop there first for my RV and utility trailer parts.

CamperID wanted $196 more after order to cover their shipping mistake

Ordered one of many RV AC units listed on their web site, paid for the unit which calculated shipping. With the shipping I was saving about $40 over Amazon for the same unit. The next day I received an email wanting approval to charge my credit card an additional $196 because "they" calculated the shipping wrong. Besides loosing an entire two days of shipping, it took hours attempting to reach someone to discuss this error. I ended up canceling the order and finding a local supplier that matched their On-line price.
