What fantastic service

What fantastic service. After purchasing demo air awning a pole was found missing. I was already away for a month but Paul did everything to locate missing items and have them delivered to me on site in Shropshire. Sorted out quickly and efficiently and kept me informed. Cannot thank them enough.

RUDE STAFF

RUDE STAFF. Have been to the shop many times over the past year and have previously recommended to others. Visited on Sunday morning, car park was full due to some sort of car rally, no where to park, we wanted specific items we knew would be in stock there. Had to park the car blocking in another car - could tell the car wasn’t part of the rally and probably another customer to Camping and General. Shop wasn’t busy and upon entering there were 2 cashiers not serving customers. I politely said excuse me and advised the cashier nearest to me that we were blocking in another car, she told me to speak to the manager and pointed him out - he was dealing with another customer so I didn’t disturb him. I left the shop and then re entered with my husband, only to hear the cashier moaning to the other one ‘don’t know what she expected me to do’. I pointed out that I didn’t expect her to do anything but wanted to make her aware. She continued to argue stating she was only a cashier.
Extremely rude staff, no customer service, left the shop and will not be returning or ever recommending to others. Purchased items online.

Good service after all.

I have previously written a bad review of the company after they substituted sink plugs for those I had ordered. I have received an e mail from the director, apologising and explaining the situation. The full cost of my order has been refunded.
Very pleased with the result.

After Sales Customer Service

We bought a Kampa Air awning from Camping and General in September 2020 and it has been a great piece of equipment. however, recently, after setting it up, we noticed a zip was defect on the side panel. This was a surprise as we had used that side panel very infrequently. As the awning was out of warranty, I wasn't sure what could be done about it so I contacted C&G to ask their advice. By the very next day, they had called us back. I initially spoke with Dan who asked me some details and then arranged for the awning to be collected by courier a couple of days later. The day after it was collected, C&G rang to say they had replaced the panel and there was no charge. I think this was excellent customer service which is rare to find these days. I will definitely buy from them again and Camping & General will be my first port of call from now on.
