This is second time I'm doing this booking. On previous booking i had to make some changes. I did email to campstar and called round 4 or 5 times, every time service representative told me to wait they will do something I waited more than week nothing happened so I’m ending up cancelling my first booking and start all over again.

Small issues with your pay system, it goes two times wrong.
Uncomplicated pay system, like Iban bank transaction will be fine. Two years ago, it works well.

Terrible booking process. Deposit paid and released by HSBC but not processed by Campstar. No way of contacting anyone real time and so my deposit of around £1,400 was simply stuck. I had to wait until the next day for Csenge to release the preauthorized amount without any explanation of the problem.
By this time my booking had timed out and when I tried to rebook the vehicle was no longer available.
Or was it ever available? There was no equivalent vehicle available.
So, now my young family - Mila 2 and Juno 3 1/2 are without a holiday. Flights books but no camper van.
No offer of help by the company which I suspect is a one man band - Csenge.
Terrible experience and I would never recommend this business - andy perkins

We have had the worst experience with Campstar and we will never ever use them again! We booked a camper and never received an email from them to say it was cancelled. We had planned an entire trip only to get to the van rental to be told we don’t have a van. Customer service is non existent! They operate internationally yet have no phone service over the weekend and during the week it has limited hours which means depending where you are in the world they are only contactable for a hour or so in the middle of the week. You have to wait an age for a response by email. Essentially, they take your money and hope there is a van. We’re now stuck and stranded trying to figure out a plan of what to do and very much out of pocket.

There was an error in the booking process that led to an unclear overview. Campstar subsequently acknowledged the error but was not willing to solve the problem.
During the booking process, liability insurance was promised to be included free of charge. However, the vehicle rental company knows nothing about this and wants to sell this insurance again.
You do not receive any documents or further information about the free and included insurance and are tempted to take out another insurance policy with the rental company for $200.

Our vehicle was great but the service was not. We were only given a fast and brief overview of it on collection, and just told to 'watch the videos'. A 5-10 min overview would have been much better service. We damaged a bumper on our trip which we reported. When we returned the vehicle we were told to wait inside while they looked at it, then told we were being charged for damage under the bumper. We disputed this (even though we had full excess insurance that would pay it for us) and asked to see what they said was damaged but were told it had already been moved to the workshop and it was impossible to return it - even though only 2-3 minutes had passed since they sent it off. We escalated our request to the manager who told us the same thing. Being charged for something without having the opportunity to discuss it by the vehicle was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. If you use this company, I'd recommend you go with them when they do their return check rather than wait inside as they request.

They didn't confirm the booking of the campervan for 2,5 weeks even though I sent them multiple emails to try and get the booking confirmed. I had started making new arrangements for my holiday only to hear from them 4 days before I needed to originally pick up the van that they made the booking and it couldn't be changed.
Imagine the surprise! They charged me 100% of the booking even though I had other plans and reservations already. They were totally unhelpful to resolve as well. They apologized for the fact the confirmation email was never sent because of a system error on their side but did nothing to compensate for the significant damage created in other reservations.
WILL NEVER USE AGAIN

They took my money but didn't send me any confirmation. I reached out 3 times over the course of 2 weeks with no reply.
It's theft! Don't use them and book whatever you need straight with the provider.

As result of an injury I was not able to drive a Campervan. This happened just before the start of the reservation. Thanks to Sandra from the Capstar team for all her help and the cooperation of McRent in Faro it was possible to change my reservation to a later moment. Very happy with this!

Hands off!!
Shortly before our trip to the USA, we found out through Campstar that they had made a mistake with our motorhome booking. Even though the error was clearly on Campstar’s side, they demanded an extra $1,334 for the originally booked services (which were confirmed in the booking confirmation). After a long back-and-forth, we ended up booking with another company and requested our money back. Even the refund was not complete. Overall, I can only warn against Campstar…
