2024 back again for another annual…
2024 back again for another annual review edit again all as below -plus I booked the dynamo priority ticket this year makes it easier to schedule everything again. So yeah this is basically an adult summer camp a fun one!, you choose your activities.. you can drink alcohol (if you want to) and entertainment at night. Solo again this year which I love, makes prioritising myself and my wants so much easier. And yet you don't even have to try to meet people to spend time with because it's laid out that way. The only planning to meet people I did was people I've met from previous years there. There's different camping options , pre pitched if you havnt got a tent (though don't forget camping is out of season before then and at the same time as black friday!) Anyway yeah there's bring you own tent, pre pitched different sizes, boutique for those not in love with camping, and live in vehicles there such a range of activities, so that anyone find a full weekend full . I'd suggest check the past activities on the website if you disbelieve me. There's a game room and also a spa btw, if that helps. If you're even contemplating it just do it. You won't regret it.
2023 edit all as below.. 1st time went with a friend, this time went on my own and it was absolutely awesome also had the campfire this year unlike last year due to the heatwave was great everyone is so friendly.. booked AGAIN for next year 😁
I first came in 2022 -Wanted to come for the experience, straightaway booked again for next time great fun, loads of different activities for everyone. suitable to go with people or on your own if you're wondering
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!!
To say I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience at Camp Wildfire would be an understatement. For anyone who is thinking of going but your circumstances might change, don't do it! Honestly, it's not worth it! Learn from my experience and save yourself time and money because you will not get a refund and they will not transfer your ticket. Instead, they'll gaslight you and blame you via email.
Here's what happened: I was the biggest fan of Camp Wildfire but this year I was on crutches because I was injured 3 weeks before camp. I applied for accessible access but was only informed 24 hours before the event that my request was denied because I didn’t have a long-term need. I understand that they have this policy but to bury it in their website and blame me for not knowing is very unfair.
This last-minute decision left me with no time to transfer or make other arrangements. I was reassured that support would still be available on-site, but when I arrived, I was left waiting in the car park for an hour with zero assistance. To make matters worse, I couldn’t access any of the camp’s accessible facilities, and my injury got significantly worse over 12 hours.
I eventually had to leave early because I was in so much pain. When I reached out to Camp Wildfire to explain what had happened and ask for them to transfer my ticket to next year, they were dismissive and unhelpful, basically telling me it was my fault for attending despite following all their instructions and trusting their promises of support.
The lack of care, communication, and respect shown was shocking, and I would warn anyone whose circumstances change or anyone who with accessibility needs or special requirements to not bother. think twice before attending. This experience was not just disappointing but also detrimental to my health, and Camp Wildfire’s response was both dismissive and unreasonable. Shocking handling all around!
Very disappointed and I have not even…
Very disappointed and I have not even got there, firstly they advertised lots of activities to get you to buy a ticket and once they released the details, a lot of these are not even on there. Then when you come to enrolment, they not even have enough slots. So you pay for credits you can't use. Buy the basic ticket, that way you would not feel liked you are being conned
Appalling customer service!!!
I never had a chance to attend one of these. So my rating does not reflect my experience of the actual event. I’m giving one star rating for CUSTOMER SUPPORT Prior to purchasing my two tickets and parking which would cost just over £1100. I was trying to get in touch with customer support to ask a few questions. I’ve sent several messages messages and their preferred form of contact which was Facebook messenger. I seen my messages being read but never responded to. This has been going on for at least two days with someone on the other end reviewed my query but never bothered to answer.
UNACCEPTABLE!!!
You cannot resell your ticket
You cannot resell your ticket. Awful and vague customer service around it. This company scams you for reselling.
AWFUL customer service, overpriced,
AWFUL customer service. They GIVE NO REFUNDS FOR ANYTHING!!! Look out!! They don't care about feedback and are just looking to make more money. They filter their Facebook reviews, so don't bother looking on there. Event itself was dreadful, so expensive and really badly run.
One epic weekend!
Sometime around a year ago I saw a tiktok advertising this ‘summer camp for adults’ pretty much immediately I knew it was something that I wanted to try and I had to rope my sister in with me. 😂 I’d never been to a festival before as frankly, I’m not a big drinker and also have major social anxiety… but I’d always wanted to go to summer camp as a kid and so I decided to bite the bullet and give it a try. I was not disappointed… I’m not sure what I expected but the whole atmosphere is alive with people being so open and authentic and accepting…it was so very inclusive with its diversity in entertainment and activities suitable for multiple levels of ability. Never in a million years did I imagine I would be running around with 30 grown ass adults shooting foam bullets at each other… or asking random strangers about the colour of their underwear 😂🙈 (no proof was needed fyi!) you really need to experience it to understand… but think old school kids summer camp with a healthy dose of friendly rivalry wrapped up with festival vibes. I dragged my sister along purely because I didn’t think I could do it on my own, but I now have no doubts I would have been able to… there are a lot of solo campers and it was easy to make friends. Tickets are already booked for next year and I can’t wait!
The most amazing experience!!
The most amazing experience! So many activities to do and choose from, meeting loadssss of new and lovely people. Was such an awesome weekend!!
A couple of minor things were the pre-pitched tent allocation being unclear, could do with more showers, and toilet roll to be replenished more often (this didn't happen too much but still not ideal to have to remember to bring your own 'just in case'), but other than that it was perfect and extremely fun!
We had such an amazing time!
We had such an amazing time. Highly recommend! We had the Dynamo ticket which we made full use of! We did 15 activities each over the Saturday and Sunday! Did things I never thought I’d do. Boutique camping was worth it as well!! Nice hot showers, well maintained toilets in the boutique and they even had hairdryers and straighteners. We’re already booked in for next year!
Great activity based festival
Great festival, loads of activities from sports to crafts to music, good comedy and music, brilliant vibe... they also do patrol arena games (like in Scouts) but if like me that's not your thing, it just gives you peace and quiet in the amazing forest while others do their thing! Well worth a try, a very distinctive festival!
10/10 would recommend
What a magical, welcoming and friendly atmosphere!
Talking to a friend about Camp Wildfire recently, they asked "who do you go with" I tried to explain it doesn't really matter and actually you'll be so into which activities you want to do and meeting people while taking part in them that its almost better to go solo, do with you want without anyone else's influence. Plus you're guaranteed to leave with loads of friends.
From axe throwing or stilt walking to macrame or tie dye, boardgames to patrol games, dancing to spa session you can take from it as much as you wish.
The forest is beautiful and the atmosphere is calm and peaceful at times and full of excitement and party at others.
Great value for money with the 120 credits of activities you get to choose
Always a great weekend
Broad range of activities to cater for high energy and the low energy (I'm looking at you Sunday morning), from the adventurous to the bit more sedate. Great people. Great atmosphere. Always a great weekend.
Wow, learn, play and party
Wow, what a time I had at Camp. I will definately be going back, It was great value, you can fill your days with free activities if like, I really liked the rifle shooting! My friend and I did very different activities in the day, I went painting, she went on the trapeze, and we would meet back up in the evening to party. There was plenty for someone with limited mobility to do, there was a separate bit of the campside for us too, as well as a quiet zone. The last night was very special, I reccomend getting over to camp games for a wild time.
Best weekend ever
I've been attending Camp Wildfire since 2017 and it is, without fail, the best weekend of the year, every year. A slice of unique magic that stays with you forever.
A place of magic
Camp Wildfire is a place of magic! You will meet some really amazing people and end up with a family by the end of it. I’ve made some truly amazing friends no matter what age we all are or how different we all are. We all fit in at camp and feel like we’ve found our kind of people. You can take park in some really good activities and maybe pick up a new hobby. I tried apothecary at camp and now study it in my spare time. It also helped to reignite my love for bushcraft and have expanded my teaching. I can’t recommend Camp Wildfire to anyone enough! I started going solo and now can’t wait to go back for my third year. Just do it and book it. You won’t regret it!
I absolutely loved Camp wildfire
I absolutely loved Camp wildfire, it was the best weekend ever and I met more amazing people that are now my lifelong friends! ❤
Play by day & party by night
Play by day & party by night! An amazing fun-filled weekend that's great for solo adventurers.
If you love trying new things this is definitely the weekend away for you. From blacksmithing to aerial silk dancing, vogueing to apothecary and bushcraft skills there's something for everyone to try out. On top of that there's talks from key speakers in dance, literature, entertainment and if that's not you're cup of tea you can party and dance then warm yourself by the large campfire and toast marshmallows with your new camp wildfire friends.
Money and time well spent!
I'll do my best to keep this review short and not go on too much about how amazing Camp Wildfire has been. I attended the event solo and was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to fit into the flow of how it all worked. To start everyone who attended the event were extremely friendly and I instantly felt like I belonged. Another feeling was that of being safe, no matter where in the camp I was nor how late in the evening/night it got. A must have sense for being neurodivergent and female. The amazing range of activities on offer to try (a few favourites being Flying Trapeze and Blacksmithing) is also a positive. It got to the point I had to upgrade my ticket to be able to do all I wanted and I am so glad I did. This event is money well spent and I would definitely come again!
Camp wildfire - nothing quite like it!
2nd year going and can still totally recommend! Camp Wildfire offers shedloads of activities to try out, eclectic live music, inspiring guest speakers and a welcoming community of come as you are. Come and experience it for yourself!
