Refund Issue
Refund Issue – McLaughlin & Bovaird Location
Good morning,
Yesterday I visited the Canadian Tire store at McLaughlin & Bovaird after purchasing a Mastercraft cutting machine that does not work properly. I asked for a refund and waited about five minutes before a staff member arrived. She told me that Mastercraft products cannot be returned and that I would have to exchange it only for the same brand.
I asked to speak with the manager or the CEO’s representative. Another staff member came but did not give me a name. I also needed assistance with other purchases and requested help, but after waiting about 20 minutes, no one came.
Later, I went to the counter to buy a coffee machine and some medicine. No one was there to help, even though it was raining heavily outside. When a staff member finally appeared, she spoke to me in a condescending way, as if teaching a lesson, and repeated that I could only buy Mastercraft products.
Frustrated, I left my Mastercraft machine with the receipt on the counter and left the store. No one has contacted me about what will happen next.
This experience was extremely disappointing. I hope Canadian Tire will look into this matter, improve customer service, and clarify its return policy.
Thank you,
You can see cctv.
Good experience at Canadian tire
Came to grab some bike tire tubes and there was a big selection. One of the employees came to help and was very nice. But the cashier was rude and unpleasent.
Crappy
Since when does Crappy tire charge a $3 online order fee? Thats another reason why its called Crappytire
Bad service
I went to Canadian tire the other day and they had everything I needed but the customer services was slow and rude.
Very Poor Customer Service
We had a very bad experience with the manager at the Bolton, ON store. He was very abusive to my wife and threaten her with fruad and police action while simply trying to return an item. He pushed the item and packaging off the counter towards my wife and told her to leave the store. I will no longer be shopping or supporting the Bolton Canadian Tire store and therefore will be cancelling my Canadian Tire Mastercard account due to the upset that he has caused our family.
DON’T USE CANADIAN TIRE AUTO SERVICE
My recent experience in dealing with Canadian tire is alarming and people need to know about it. Recently I went for a simple oil change and the mechanics caused serious damage to my car. Now I have an oil leak and the STUPID mechanics refuse to fix their own damage. Now they want to change the part that’s cause oil to leak. These mechanics are SCAMMERS and THIEVES!!!! They deliberately cause damage so people replace parts. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE…DON’T USE CANADIAN TIRE!!!!!
Well I have been doing business there…
Well I have been doing business there for the past couple of months. I have been taking care of two elderly parents who have dementia and just recently my mom broke her neck falling over a flight of stairs. My mom survived and I sacrificed everything including my money to help them obtain a home at Chancellor Park which was very costly. I never in my wildest dreams that I would receive poor service at Canadian Tire when all I wanted to do was return an on opened item for a simple exchange for a backup camera. Now I didn't have my receipt however the staff member who served me knew me from just have seeing me shop there many times but still wouldn't give me a simple exchange. I believe that I have been though enough of trauma only to have to deal with such POOR SERVICE.
David Powell. 709-687-6727. I will never Shop THERE AGAIN. Thanks for nothing. I thought an exchange policy meant something and Canadian Tire was there to help. I Guess Not!!!
Poor Customer Service
I took my car for for them to check the tires I procured which leaks frequently, after checking they claimed the valves was bad, and it will cost 7+ dollars each, after about two hours even though I was seated there no one update me so I went to ask only to be told that the one sensor is not working with the valve and that I have to change the sensor, and my price will jump to over 100 CAD but they removed some and the cost was 98+ CAD, when they finished, the sensor light was still on and they said it will go after some times, after a long while it was still on I went back and back and they now said other sensors are bad etc, the customer service was extra terrible and I strongly doubt their sincerity
Canadian Tire continues to practice price gauging tactics and abuses FOREIGN WORKERS!!
A Canadian company that practices price gauging tactics while offering poor customer service and a terrible store Triangle Rewards Points program. Yes Canadian Tire executive team, according you your overpaid executive team, the complaining customer is always wrong..Poor service is not just one store but multiple stores across Niagara Toronto GTA. I have today cancelled my Triangle points annual member and will not renew my Roadside assistance membership In January 2026. I am FEDUP with your lousy service and confusing returns problem that differ from store to store... Always blaming the customer..You went too far Canadian Tire today. sending and me an email accusing me of abusing your employees. The email was sent with no name and telephone number provided. .There are other retail online options that are MORE COMPETITIVE than your store with better guarantees. Thank you for proving once again how horrible customer service is with major Canadian companies like yours you continually abuse and price gauge customers .I have the receipts to prove it. .I have spent over $2000 dollars renovating my house and my mother's house in the last 2 years. ..I have even witnessed 2 customers being tackled by St Catharines Canadian Tire store managers in the parking lot 3 years ago. SHOCKING. LOOK at all the negative complaints!! Are these customers also abusing your employees ? Can you not read Canadian Tire Executive Team? I am not the only one complaining...Sorry... Not all customers are WRONG. And no this customer did not abuse your employees. Its the Canadian Tire customers who are being ABUSED THROUGH YOUR PRICE GAUGING TACTICS. . I understand that some of your stores have been abusing Foreign workers and have been FINED? Address this issue before insulting this Canadian Customer!!! How big was the fine Canadian tire? $111,000 CAD dollars.??? WOW !!.YOU SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES>.
The cashier was very snob and unfriendly
The reason I rated so low out because of unpleasant cashier. I felt very uneasy and uncomfortable as she did not have any customer service skills. Lacking basic adequacy. She didn’t even say hello nor did she say thank you or have a nice day. She just kept silent. I felt a robot was serving me and would rather do a self check out. I felt she was only being friendly with a particular group of culture which is fine but why be selective esp you are living in a multicultural country. Operator number : 603003 date Sept 8 location: market crossing Burnaby. If I ever see her again I will not go to her. Otherwise amazing store with great stuff.
poor stores unfriendly service and…
poor stores unfriendly service and tires are too high in price and the stores are over priced .
only the item that are good are wipers
Poor customer Service at Canadian Tire on Cambie Street, Vancouver, B.C.
I went to Canadian Tire on Cambie Street and purchased some AA Energerizer batteries on sale. When I opened the package a few days later I realized that the package had been previously opened and re-sealed. I decided to return for a full refund. A customer service rep. named L...had the audacity to accuse me of opening the package and re-sealing it and queried me as to why I was only returning the item one week later instead of immediately. She was quite accusatory. I stated I retired from Customs and I don't tell lies. She refused to refund me and called the manager. A.... refused to refund me. I told them I will lodge a formal complaint to their head office and noted the conversation. I stated I am trying to support local business but can't do so with their attitude. I will never go back in Canadian Tire as they don't seem to care about any potential customers. I hate Canadian Tire and probably treat their 3rd world employees like shit, therefore they treat customers or potential customs like shit. I will tell my neighbourhood about the poor service and encourage them to shop elsewhere.
Triangle rewards are very hard to actually get, it seems
What’s hilarious is the fact that they have Triangle Rewards, yet if I go to self checkout and put my phone number in for rewards it says they don’t accept numbers. I can collect them at Sportchek stores, but not Canadian Tire stores?
It was also easy to collect them online at Sportchek, but I’ve made several orders recently and none of my triangle rewards have shown up in my account, even though I’ve gone through the trouble to log in to my triangle rewards account. Might as well just get rid of them if customers can even collect them.
Exploiting LMIA
Was just fined $111,000 for exploiting LMIA. Never support a company that doesn't support Canadian workers.
Very poor Service
Took me jeep into the automotive centre on Bayfield St. To have a bulb fixed on my headlights. I had already purchased the light in the store and asked if they could replace it. They kept my jeep for an hour to then say it was an electrical issue. I was charged 63.00.I didn't have time so I booked an appointment for a couple of days later for the issue to be fixed
On returning after and waiting an hour I was again told it was an electrical issue and they would need another hour to fix it. Now being charged 158.14 and told it would be a final total of 300.00.I left realizing I had now had 2 assessments and over 200.00 and the cost of a light which was never returned and nothing fixed. I called the management and Trevor was of no help and not willing to do anything for a customer. I had my lights fixed at my local garage , It took 1/2 an hour to assess and fix and a total cost of 87.00. Needless to say I will never return to Canadian tire on Bayfield St in Barrie for their very poor customer service and charging me for a complete failure of service
I am writing about my experience at the Welland Woodlawn location
I am writing about my experience at the Welland Canadian Tire Automotive Service Centre. Since I moved back to Welland 8 years ago I often go to the Canadian Tire on Woodlawn Road. I have never been treated with attitude by the service desk. They've always treated me with respect, always tried to find a way to fit me in to the shop to help me and they often search the system to see if I have a warranty on my file. The service techs always do a excellent work. I AM VERY PLEASED with the Woodlawn crew. Thank you for all you've done well!
pro flex hose
pro flex hose, what a piece of garbage, no water pressure at all, I had more from my well with the better one
motomaster eliminator battery can't get a replacement.
Bought an motomaster eliminator battery (agm) had to replace it under warr twice. it has failed again . Now its out of warr. I called customer service I had asked for some good will in order to get a replacement. They had refused and would not try to work something out which could satisfy us both. If you check online you will see plenty of negative reviews on these batteries. I will go with some one else and will not recommend this brand to any one else.
Amazing customer care
I had an amazing experience with an agent, Killian, who went above and beyond to assist me while showing exemplary patience, understanding, and kindness, which qualities that are, unfortunately, rare in customer service today.
At a time when other credit card providers were repeatedly reporting incorrect balances to the credit bureaus (errors that hurt my credit score due to raising my utilization rate alone!) Canadian Tire Bank was the only institution that stepped in and offered me a credit card at very reasonable rates.
They also assured me that as soon as my score improved, they would be happy to increase my limit, which they did.
As for Canadian Tire, the store, I always have a very pleasant experience!
Accolades to Carl for his much appreciated help.
Carl was amazing as he willingly helped us trying to figure out the difference between the plain power cord with just a circuit breaker and the other power cord that also included a surge protector. He then asked a person who works the area about the difference. Carl was fabulous as he went out of his way to help us even though he was on his way to the paint department where he works. Kudos to Carl in the Paint Department!
