CanaDream RV - Vancouver Reviews 

We rented the SVC (Super Camper Van) for 21 nights and got an unwanted “upgrade” at pick-up to the MHC which is very spacious for 2 people (with much less visibility out front) but somewhat difficult to imagine for 4 adults and 2 kids as advertised. In summary this is a very luxurious vehicle with all the trimmings included. The booking and registration process was very efficient online and an earlier pickup on arrival possible for an extra charge. All “add-ons” in equipment, service and insurance coverage are however charged separately, even the basic linen and very limited kitchen kit. Nevertheless, we advise selecting the premium plus option and more since this makes life so much easier and relaxed during the rental and the drop-off. Staff were friendly and helpful during pick-up somewhat less so during drop-off. A few things you should be aware of:
A vehicle manual is not included but positions of most of the buttons and instruments are different from most smaller cars. The position of the parking brake is awkward and releasing it is difficult since there is not enough space for knees and legs in the small driver’s cockpit. A tracking device(?) attached close to the parking brake came off all the time.
There is no explanation for the Sony instrument, discovering that it served as a rear camera was by chance, strangely enough no GPS based Navigation tool was included which turned out to be essential in all the cities, renters should be advised to bring their own as we did. Otherwise, the accessories are much appreciated items, e.g. the microwave/convection oven and generator. The capacity of the freshwater tank is very limited (partly due to loss of water during bumpy rides) even for just 2 people whereas the capacity of the propane gas tank seemed to be unlimited despite a lot of cooking activities.
In summary, renting this vehicle from this rental company was a pleasant experience.

Vehicle was was good except the side door let air in causing a high pitch whistler sound. Shower door wouldn't close which would bang whilst driving. Hopefully it gets fixed for the next customer.

Truck & camper that I rented were great for our trip. When I picked it up the camper was still dirty and there was left over food still in the fridge.
Staff that showed me around the unit was more concerned about showing me the drive modes in the truck then
showing me how anything worked in the camper. Which they didn’t.
Things you guys need to work on for sure. Would it stop me from coming back? Maybe?
Would check out another company first.

Great staff and nice clean rv!

Staff was very helpful in getting our motorhome ready ahead of the scheduled time. We received an upgrade and it was very welcoming when traveling for the 2 weeks.
The camper was very clean and again, staff was very helpful and attentive to our needs.

The van was functional and everything worked but was very tatty with badly marked seats, damaged furniture and dented fridge. The drive was also very poor with the vehicle handling badly.

RV (MHA maxi) was good, both in terms of driving and the living area. Communication by website before picking up and also during the trip was good. Returning the car went smooth and fast.
A little more attantion to the introduction/ explaining during pick-up is desirable, In our case the employee was in a hurry once we arrived at the RV after the paperwork,

We rented a truck camper from Canadream and had an amazing experience. From pickup to drop off of the vehicle everything was well organized. The vehicle was in excellent condition.

Wonderfull Vacation with a very good RV. Thé only thing that was sad: only 2 spoons, 2 knifes, 2 forks, 2 soup plate, 2 dunner plates. After every meal you just had to de thé dishes. Why not 4 pieces of each? This Will be much comfortable

My wife, my dog, and I recently rented a Super Van Camper from CanaDream — and let me just say: it was the perfect setup for our little trio.

From start to finish, the customer service was exceptional. The team was friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about making the experience seamless. Pickup and drop-off were handled with efficiency and care — no stress, no waiting around, just straight-up competence with a smile.

The RV itself was an absolute blast to drive and use. The vehicle was spotless, well-maintained, and had thoughtful features like Apple CarPlay that made navigating and road-tripping even more enjoyable. Everything we needed was in place — no surprises, no missing bits. Just smart, intentional packing that showed real attention to detail.

Highly recommend CanaDream if you’re looking for a professional, well-run, and dog-friendly RV rental experience. We’ll definitely be back for another adventure.

Professional, courteous and efficient.

A nice well appointed and clean RV was provided for our use.
However, the reliance on having to pay extra for some items, camp chairs toaster etc. seemed a little excessive.
I think the fuelling policy could be one of full to full, you have to re-fill back to as it was when you collect (ours was approx.3/4 full) and this makes it a bit of a guess work and one open to fluctuation. It's easier to return back full in my mind.

Pick-up and Drop-Off went well although the drop-off seemed rushed, mainly we think due to staff shortages.

The collection for the Food Bank is a great idea, although needs to be policed better. We put products in there on our return, to seem them removed by renters who were just starting their journey obviously thinking it was a free for all, it goes against the idea....

However overall we had a great time and I would definitely recommend Canadream.

The staff in Vancouver where awesome and we were in and on the road without any hiccups.

Albeit a scary thing to drive we enjoyed the comfort of taking our home with us on our travels ip and down the Sea To Sky highway.

I recently rented an RV from CanaDream, and overall, the experience was delightful! The vehicle was in good condition, and the staff were super friendly and helpful.
I can't give a full 5 stars, though, because some items we rented were forgotten, and we had to purchase them ourselves. Additionally, the sponge and dish soap provided were used, which was a minor inconvenience.
These are just small critiques, and they don't overshadow the positive experience. I definitely recommend CanaDream for a great road adventure!

Great Service and excellent vehicles

Can was in very good condition, very helpful information and support provided to make the trip go smoothly.

Easy process, lovely staff and every detail was explained fully before being given the RV.

We experienced a pain free experience from CanaDream, having hired a MH-A Maxi Motorhome with most of the extras including the Premium Plus, Unlimited Mileage and Prepaid Liability Reduction Zero, which gave us peace of mind for our 3100km round trip from Vancouver and back via Whistler, Jasper, Bannf and Vancouver Island.
Having been told at handover that the RV was only a year old, we found that it had done over 83,000 km, the interior felt a little tired in places, which rattled and squeaked over every road imperfection when travelling. Nonetheless, it was comfortable when parked and served its purpose.
On the slightly negative side, the monitor for the waste tanks was next to useless and always showed more than half full even when emptied, the city water intake continually leaked at the hose connection, the ‘lawn chairs’ we paid extra for were the cheapest, nastiest, type on the market and, significantly, the gas guzzling Ford engine drank fuel like there is no tomorrow!
The handover and returns processes were pain free with friendly staff in attendance, although the standard return timings appear to be deliberately set relatively early in the morning, perhaps to encourage customers to pay extra for a ‘late return’.
Would we hire from CanaDream again? We felt the hire charge was a tad expensive for a tired feeling vehicle, so the jury is out and I would probably spend more time comparing the competition first.

We overall had a very good experience with Canadream. Positives: motorhome in very good condition and well prepared; excellent handover; overall pricing seemed competitive with the alternatives we researched (although it's not cheap!!); customer service was very responsive and helpful (we had a few pre-rental questions). Relatively small negatives: pay attention to the line item details in the bill (we didn't automatically get a few discounts / bonuses that we expected... although when we queried it, this was refunded immediately); our van was provided with 2 x left handed gloves for the sanitation, and our black-out blinds didn't fit very well. Overall though I would recommend Canadream, and expect to rent with them again
