Easy to drive, good facilities

Van was well prepared in good physical condition and clean. We were newbies so everything in the van was a new learning experience. The "handbook" was comprehensive and covered most things. However, the most important item was buried near the back namely the need to charge the coach battery daily, using the generator if not using hook ups. We spent three nights at outback BC provincial camp sites with no hook up facilities. On the fourth morning nothing worked - not even the lights! I could not find anywhere the critical battery voltage - it was showing 7.5v. We could not start the generator either and we had no phone signal!! Breakdown service was good - I spoke to a calm young lady called Bethany (when we were driving to a new site and had a phone signal). She very patiently said all most not lost but we would need to find a shore side hook up to charge things up. A quick change of venue for our 4th night and all was resolved!! Might be worth stressing the need to charge daily if not hooking up ... somewhere very prominent! This was the only negative thing in our week and did not take away the amazing things we experienced. Great holiday even if we did have one challenging morning!!

Unconvenient and impracticable position of table. If you want to have the bed, no table option. If you set up the table behind the driver's seat or both seats in the front, you don' have seats because they can't be turned around. Many faulty error messages, e.g. tyre pressure. Venetien blinds defective or not there at all. Awning - not possible to slide out. Handbrake problem

Van not checked by Canadream before customer pickup

The Canadream Deluxe Van Camper was a terrific ride and fun and easy way to camp across the country. The vehicle was very clean and well equipped on pickup. The only issue was a too-short waste discharge hose (which we replaced and received complete reimbursement from Canadream), and a shorter power cord at 25’ (most sites in Ontario required at least a 50’ cord to be able to plug in). All great otherwise!!

Easy to park, easy to drive, all camping needs met. Great fuel consumption, not a thirsty vehicle.

RV Van worked great. Velcro on the window covers did not work. Easy to park. A bit small for 2 adults and a dog.

The RV/campervan was very nice and relatively easy to use, with a very informative user guide provided. It had everything we needed: kitchen kit and linen kits (complimentary add-ons for us), decent-sized fridge and freezer, propane stove, shower and toilet, pull-out bed, and entertainment system (bluetooth connection available). Both the water heater and the furnace worked very fast and if you are travelling during warmer months, then don't worry about the propane usage - in 10 days we only managed to use less than 1/3 of the propane tank, and we were cooking in the RV daily. We are taller than average people and the RV/campervan was very cramped for us. Not a lot of storage space, so we constantly had to move our stuff around (we had one bigger luggage, one carry-on and one backpack). However, the bed was surprisingly large and comfortable. We only used the toilet once and didn't use the shower, as we were staying at campgrounds, but everything worked just fine.

Great vehicle to tour in

Easy operating systems from electrical to cleaning grey/black and water tanks. Easier to drive than what looks given its size. We pick this over the other bigger options because it would be easier to park with other regular suv & sedan parking lots and it definitely was. RV Good on gas even better when put on ECO mode, but you do have to set this every time you turn on the van. This was great space for two people, bed was comfortable, pillows could have been more supportive but overall bed space was good.

The vehicle and coach functioned well but the 1990s model had a much better design for space and sleeping accommodation. The vehicle exhibited several faulty systems alerts that were not helpful and should be removed. I would not rent it again mainly because of the interior design.. it too cramped and blunt edges are not padded.

We used the DVC for a period of a bit more than 5 weeks. From the point of handling the DVC is, compared to a 25 ft motorhome, excellent. However, there are certin setbacks. On campgrounds, if weather permits, the facilies allow dining outside the vehicle. If getting into the cold season or if it is raining the dinette area of the camper has to be changed daily from a 'bedroom' into a 'dining area' in a very confined space and the swivel chairs in the front are not a real alternative. The table provided with approcimate dimensions 30 x 60 cm is rather small. For using the shower in the bathroom your body has to be on the thinner side. In Atlantic Canada the majority of the campgrounds are having shower facilties, most of the free of charge. Excellent is the Truma heating system both on propane gas or on electricity. Shortcomings on our vehicle: gauges for propane, grey and black water showed incorrect readings, orange engine warning light indicated a fault which did not exist, the freezer did not work properly and the fresh water tank did loose water during travelling. Conclusion: a good camper for a short period and in good climatic conditions due to good handling and fuel efficiency. Not so good for a longer peroiod and adverse clmatic conditions due to space restrictions in the interior. Better is a truck camper we had used before or a small motor home.
