The RV that we rented had a few bugs , the black and grey reservoir would always read 2/3 full when really was empty for new people could be somewhat unnerving. Also the one we had hot water on propane did not work.

The motorhome as a whole is very reliable and easy to operate. We did since 2007 nearly each year a motorhome trip in US or Canada from different rental companies, Canadreams RV belongs to the best ones. Therefore the 5 stars The value for money is a general item as it hits all RVs based on this aged engine inside (same at all vendors). 30 to 40 Liters of gas per 100km is hard to digest if your trip covers a longer distance (several 1000km). So for the vehicle , yes 5 stars in value for money but the high usage cuts out one star.

We were provided with a very reliable and huge vehicle for our Canada crossing. The winter equipment was very helpful, especially for the beginning of our trip. The kitchen equipment could have been a little more varied. A few small glasses, for example, from which you can drink wine, would have been great. But we bought them for little money at Walmart and left them in the vehicle for the new tenants. We recommend CanaDream for your Canada Trip.

Great way to explore our country.
Reliable winterized vehicle, it kept itself warm while parked using furnace. They had rear heat feature that keep motorhome warm from inside while driving. it was always warm from inside during the winter. Lot of space and had everything we need during our trip. Driving is easier as it is install with big side view mirrors covering most of the blind spots, back camera, Collison senser and lane detection help and improves in safe driving.

My friends and I have rented from Canadream almost every year for over 10 years. About two or three years ago the level and attitudes of their customer service deteriorated with new staff that were not as knowledgeable about the RV’s and were less willing to assist or provide information at the time of rental. They began a policy of expecting the driver to do a complete unassisted inspection of the vehicle despite my not knowing all the features and details of the vehicle. This inspection is described in their advertising as taking "just a couple of minutes and will ensure that you confirm a visual inspection of any existing damage on your vehicle". An adequate unaccompanied inspection would take 30 – 60 minutes when you wish to get on the road. Canadream knows this and counts on it so faults are not found and the customer can be charged later. The person checking me in refused, when asked to come to the vehicle with me just saying I should take and submit photos. Unfortunately and dangerously, the quality of vehicle maintenance has suffered too. We followed all guidelines – staying plugged in at RV parks for 3 nights of our week, never taking the vehicle off paved roads, never turning off the Arctic Pac, keeping the water heater on and keeping the heater thermostat at or above 17 degrees. Despite this, the water froze twice. The hinge on the cover of the external plug cover was broken the first time we looked at it (this was not visible until we attempted to plug the RV in) , the Carbon Monoxide alarm would alarm at seemingly random times, for example even when no generator, engine or gas appliances were in use, and all the rear lights went out forcing us to strap head torches to the rear bumper. Upon return, Canadream charged us for the plug cap $160, accused us of damaging the lights by driving on rough roads and doubted our word that we had followed guidelines on warming the vehicle. The desk staff was firmly polite and not at all apologetic or helpful but full of inuendo doubting the truth of our account. The maintenance staff, however, when we talked to them, said "oh yes, I know about all of those things". All of this points to a dangerous lack of concern for maintenance. The desk staff pointed out item #46 of the Terms and Conditions which states Compensation of any kind will be only considered if the Guest has notified CanaDream Inc. of an issue at the time it first occurred, This, however, is not possible in the Canadian Rockies which has very patchy cell phone reception which does not allow contact with the head office. One would think that it would be adequate to notify at first convenience with a non-urgent problem. For us that was upon return of the vehicle. The rear lights went out on the final night while driving to Calgary and the rest we had managed to get around the problems. Item #46, therefore, allows Canadream to charge and blame the customer for any defects not noted on the pre-drive inspection. The faulty water system, lights and carbon monoxide alarm could not have been noted pre-drive. The deterioration in quality coincides with the takeover of Canadream by the multinational Tourism Holdings. I hope that Canadream can return to its former level of competence and care. We will see.

Great RV but not enough DC - USB plugs for charging cellphones and other electronics. The cab privacy divider could use some more Velcro or other improvements to make it easier to use. The ceiling vent insulation panels need Velcro as well or someway of securing them, we had them fall out during the night, allowing for precious heat to escape. Also, more hooks in the living room and bedroom for hanging clothes would be nice feature. Lastly, the cupboard should be designed to keep things on the shelf while in transport.
