Lovely friendly volunteers and organisers, great routes and aid stations.

Amazing event..tantalising muddy route, pitch dark, scary-licious, worrisome to be out of navigation but it’s doable beyond imagination. This one really test your navigation skills which I intended to learn more. The organisers are hands on. I can’t thank you guys enough for helping me out on my water bottles. The foods are more than enough! The warming cup of tea and to my fellow friendly trailers whom we find solace in the midst of darkness. Thank you 🙏

The staff were fantastic and very kind. Course was tough- but to be expected at this time of year. Navigation was pretty tough on this course- so easy to go off track. Also 32km gap between CP2 and CP3 felt long. This is not an event for beginners- but a great challenge nonetheless!

I honestly can’t recommend Canary Trail Events highly enough. I’ve taken part in a lot of races over the years, and so many events nowadays feel like they’ve shifted away from focusing on the entrants and more toward promoting the event itself. But this one brought me right back to how it used to be — where every single person involved is genuinely invested in the runners, their experience, and their journey to the finish.

From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the team at Canary Trail Events truly care. Their focus is entirely on the participants, supporting them, encouraging them, and doing everything possible to help them succeed. In my case, I chose not to finish — entirely my decision — but I have no doubt the team would have moved mountains to get me to that finish line if I’d wanted to continue. Their dedication is that real.

This is a proper event, run by people who truly understand what an event should be. Thoughtful, supportive, passionate, and built around the entrants rather than the spectacle.

Always an amazing event. I have done a few now and loved every one. Tough for sure but with fantastic people and so well organised.

Well organised, great fun

Another absolutely amazing event hosted by canary trail events, the Copthorne races are second to none, it’s a real family feel. These races are for the runners, by the runners. Medical team to hand if required always gives you confidence. The race director has got this spot on along with all the work he does for charity. I can’t thank canary trail events enough for giving me some of the best memories I’ve had on my journey with running. The Copthorne races are close to my heart and this weekend is now a permanent fixture in my Calendar.
Thank you CTE 10/10 as always.

2nd running of the 50k and once again blown away by the fantastic atmosphere out on course which of course comes directly from the amazing events team so many smiles make the day go so well. See you next year

Superbly organised with great marshals and volunteers, lovely atmosphere, and a brilliant, challenging and scenic route.

Real nice race with an awesome local feel to it! You'll love Box Hill by the end of it

My experience is one I will carry for the rest of my life / a real tough course mentally and physically but one which will want me to come back and do every year . Real sense of camaraderie and in it together. Il be next year

Fantastic race, great course and a small, friendly, family atmosphere at the aid stations. Love it, have raced the last 3 years and will return.

Copthorne Races 2025. Another attempt at the 100miler, another "come up short", but I totally love this race. The loop is fantastic and great variety. It's always a delight to watch it deteriorate as the loops pass, the footfall has increased and the inevitable rain does its worst...
Excellently ran event, low key approach in ways, yet attentive to needs. Great team and volunteers as always. Always a good camaraderie between runners taking on the various distances.
Top drawer event, if you like a tough test, inclement weather and wet feet. Just my cup of tea.

Fantastic low key events which are well organised and focus on providing a first class runner experience. I highly recommend Canary Trails for all new and experienced runners. They offer races for everyone.

This was my third event with Canary events and by far the hardest. I participated in the Copthorne 50 miler, 5 laps of over 10 miles with over 2000 feet elevation gain per lap. Clear instructions where issued by the organisers in a timely manner. Upon arrival it was straight forward to register, a race briefing followed just before the race. Clearly marked course with lots of ups and downs coupled with some good runable sections. The course was challenging especially given the rain but what do you expect in November in the UK? Good food options at the village hall/start/finish where you also had your bag if you wanted your own options. At the end you were greeted with a raucous applause, some food and a hot cup of tea. Lovely medal and coaster, I managed 2nd place so also received a trophy 🏆.
If you are looking for tough trail event then Canary is the one, it is not for the faint hearted.

I have ran their 2 towers, midnight marathon, Copthorne race, attended navigation and first aid course too… very satisfied! Their races are definitely challenging but i enjoyed every moment of it. It takes you to depth of Surrey Hills which is so beautiful. The team ( RD’s, medics, photographers and volunteers)were absolutely amazing. The courses were well organised and its a must as a runner! I will definitely keep on coming back
