Ripped off candle broken in half

They are supposed to be a candle company and I paid extra money for fast shipping, and then I got a snapped in half red candle. I used it a couple times b4 the wick went too far, so now I have an overpriced candle that doesn’t even light

Responsive to customer sustainability concerns

I have ordered bulk votives from candles4less for years and they are always the best price and the lowest price. But I recently had an amazing experience which makes me think that this is a great company that I want to support. My last order came in an oversized box with an enormous, unconscionable amount of bubble wrap packing. It was so much that it literally overfilled the plastic bag recycling contained at my local grocery store. As people committed to sustainable practices and concerned about the harmful environmental effects of plastic waste, we were horrified. So I wrote to the company asking them to change their shipping practices. I got the following response from Zack Prieto, their Operations Mgr. I am pasting it in below because it's so inspirational:

"Dear Ira,

My name is Zack and I am the operation manager at Candles4less. I thank you very much for bringing this matter into our attention.

Our company is based in San Diego, California. In our facility we use recycled cartons to ship our orders. Last year we purchased a cardboard shredders to turn our unusable cardboards into recyclable packing material. This way we have minimize to outsource our packaging material.

This year we partnered with a third party fulfillment center in Pennsylvania to provide faster service to our east coast customers. This facility stores and ships our products. This is the first time we are experiencing a problem like this because they always use recycled paper to fulfill our shipments.

I have checked the details of your order and I was surprised that they shipped your order in a 19x12x11 inch size package. This order was supposed to ship in a 10x10x10 inch size box with recycled paper.

Shipping this order in a large box like this is waste of packing materials and due to Fedex dimension size pricing, it cost us more.

I did forward your email to the shipping manager at that facility. I will follow up with them first thing in the morning.

I really appreciate your concerns about the environment. Please rest assured that this will not happen again.

Please do not hesitate to contact me directly if you have any other concerns or recommendations.

Best regards,

Zack Prieto"
