While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

To protect platform integrity, every review on our platform—verified or not—is screened by our 24/7 automated software. This technology is designed to identify and remove content that breaches our guidelines, including reviews that are not based on a genuine experience. Canlaw is a joke

I wrote a review of a lawyer on CanLaw and this is what the response from the owner or site administrator was: "CanLaw does not believe you. You have all the signs of a typical vindictive, lying bi***." (the actual word was written in the email)

Mr Rose is lucky to be rid of you

Do not contact CanLaw again or we will charge you with harassment.

Kindly go to hell.

Google Review

I recently posted a fair review of this business on Google. Here's the response I got:
"half a million Canadians disagree with you. The rest would if they see how stupid you are."
Nice guy – great PR tactics.

BTW - Canlaw is owned by J. Kirby Inwood who was charged with assault on his wife and infant son in 1989 and served 10 days in jail. He was also charged and convicted of E.I. Fraud a short time before that. That should tell people how honest and trustworthy CANLAW is!
