Highly recommend George!

Our door had been broken for over 10 years, and we never really thought it could be properly fixed. We finally posted an advert, and George saw it and came to our house straight away.

He was incredibly kind and professional — he didn’t even charge a call-out fee, and quickly solved the problem with our French door. On top of that, he very kindly fixed a few other doors and windows for us for free, which we really didn’t expect at all.

George is genuinely such a nice and honest person, and his workmanship is excellent. If we ever have any door or window issues in the future, we will definitely be calling George again. Thank you so much!

George gave us a telephone quote to mend the lock on our old Anglian front door. When he arrived it was a much easier job than he had expected. Instead of keeping to the original quote he adjusted the price accordingly. How many of these repair men out there would do that. Really appreciated.

This guy was fully paid but he did not finish the second half of the job and disappeared. No answer on whatsapp. No explanation. No refund. Won't recommend to anyone unless you want to throw away your money.

Everything was clearly communicated on whatsapp. I explicitly listed out all items to be completed, he got back with the quotes. We paid for the deposit and then full amount on the first day. He completed the first part of the job on that day.

The second part was agreed to be done after renovation was complete.

We sent messages to him after renovation was nearly done, and then he first replied with nonsense - van broken, left phone on the van etc. We tried to reschedule for a few times and he failed to show up everytime. Eventually he simply disappeared, without replying anything on whatsapp. Not returning calls. No refund.

There were other reviews in the past few months so I'm sure he's not dead / seriously injured / having a late-stage cancer. I wish him well but no one should hire him.

Pursuing legal option to get refund.

Would highly recommend George. Very pleasant and approachable. Very efficient and repaired my broken window hinges without any hassle. Also replaced another window handle. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely call on him again shortly for broken seals on other windows.

George Baldock undertook work to replace the windows at the war memorial that we have been renovating. He took the money for the job but did not complete the work and, to date, has refused to return the money. He lost a court case against him and we are having to retrieve the money through court bailiffs AVOID!!

The service I received from George Baldock was excellent.
The problem was resolved to my complete satisfaction.

George made my day today. He has replaced four glass units in my bifold doors after a break in. After a short exchange by text, the visit was arranged to complete the job with in a few days. The job was completed quickly and efficiently, with no mess. The doors close perfectly without catching, and the glass was left sparkling too. Great work, Thanks George.

If I can give negative stars I would. This guy George Baldock, was called out to fix two windows that were penetrating noise and air. He came in and looked at it and said no problem. Came the next day and did the job, then i found out one window wasn't done properly. He cam out again and did something that broke the lock. He was frustrated and said he will order a part and come and fix it. Then he just disappeared, I messaged and called him, and he kept ignoring me. Asked him to give me my money back so I can find someone to fix the lock, but he is refusing. After two months he now replied changing the story said it was already broken. This guy is a cowboy, so watch out.

What a service by George, highly recommend if you need any window or door fixed. My garden door had a gap so a lot of draft was coming in. Within 5 mins George got his tools out and fixed the problem for us and we were very grateful especially when other companies were trying to get us to replace the door at a cost of £900 plus VAT. Capita Window doctor's prices are very reasonable.

George came out last night to fix my back door lock and can’t thank him enough.

Very professional! Contacted George to remove a window for a delivery and replace it after. Although the delivery time wasn’t specific, when it did arrive, George was there in no time. Carried out the job professionally and neatly. Very cheerful and respectful!
