Avoid like the plague

I’ve driven 80k miles in 4 years in electric cars, and we all know the charging infrastructure is poor, but my experience at the Utilila Bowl in Southampton tops the lot. In short, the chargers card readers don't work, the OCR codes have been removed, the app doesn’t work either, you plug your car in and it says you can’t use that socket because it’s occupied. There is no customer service, they leave you hanging for 10 minutes then cut you off. If you ever pull up at a Carbon3 charger, just go elsewhere, it won’t work, you’ll waste an hour of your life and still end up going somewhere else. This is a company that does not deserve to survive

Hi Rod,
We’re really sorry to hear about your experience at the Utilita Bowl. We understand how frustrating it must have been, especially when relying on charging infrastructure.
The issues you describe are linked to a fault with the manufacturer’s equipment at that specific site, rather than with the wider Carbon3 network. We’re working closely with the manufacturer to resolve the problem as quickly as possible and expect this to be fixed shortly.
We also want to apologise for the poor customer service you received when trying to get support as that’s not the standard we set for ourselves, and we take your feedback seriously.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

The worst company I have had the pleasure to deal with

PLEASE READ THE WHOLE REVIEW IT WILL BE TO YOUR BENEFIT

This is by far the worse company I have ever had the pleasure or lack of dealing with
In November 2024 we had heat source solar panels and boiler fitted by this company
Before work started I was promised we would not be without hot water my wife and I are in our sixties and I am ill with disabilities
They turned up on Monday ripped everything out by Tuesday the boiler did not fit as it was wrong size so new one had to be ordered radiators were wrong size new ones had to be made
There begins a week of no adequate heating and no hot hot water for a week
2 kw heaters were offered but with countless workers in and out all day leaving all doors open there was no point wasting my precious money. Events continued to unfold work not done work not done properly trip hazards inside and out side for a disabled person who walks with sticks where they had just left unfinished work
They even had the audacity to take all the scrap copper from the previous install including the boiler saying it would go to their Christmas party
I complained to Breyer about all that had gone on so far who subbed the work to carbon3 and they Carbon3 arranged a lackey to come into my house to discuss “how they could put it right”
Inc compensation
They left and that was all that was the last I heard from them. This work was attempted by The Wrotham based depot
This was not an isolated as they were working on the house next door whom also had a similar experience at the same time
If I was the CEO of this company and doing these contracts for housing associations I would be getting my hat and coat and leaving the company
If this is their normal standard of work and how they treat residents I would hate to think what problems lay in store for for thier installs in the future even to how peoples lives maybe put in danger with the workmanship
I would never recommend this company to my worst enemy
This is taken from their own website

“ Expertise and Experience
With years of experience in the renewable energy sector, our team brings unparalleled expertise to every project”

“ Customer-Centric Approach
We prioritise your needs and satisfaction, delivering tailored solutions and exceptional support throughout your renewable energy journey.”

Believe me when I say they didn’t even come close

Buyer beware if you are in Kent and are considering using this company walk away find a different more professional company to do a better install
And leaving this company alone to fade into the history books as one of the worst companies ever

CARBON3 YOU SENT YOUR EMPLOYEE TO OUR HOUSE TO SIT ON OUR SOFA TO ASK HOW CAN WE (CARBON3) PUT THIS RIGHT !!!!!!!!! NOT ANYBODY ELSE !!!!!!

Dear David,

We take all customer feedback seriously and are committed to delivering high-quality service and support.

We previously advised that, as we were contracted by the main contractor working for the housing association, any complaints or issues needed to be reported to the housing association first, and the main contractor second. Unfortunately, this process must be followed to ensure issues are resolved efficiently, and we are unable to help without this process being followed as we did not carry out these works in a main contractor capacity.

We remain committed to providing quality renewable energy solutions and encourage open, honest discussions when concerns arise. Should you wish to discuss this matter further, please reach out to the main contractor for these works in the first instance.

Domestic Install led to no Bills

Carbon3 installed a 4.05kWp domestic Solar PV system on my house in November 2023 and my utility bills have been covered by the usage and smart export guarantee since. They have friendly staff and are easy to contact. Their sales team were prompt in their quotations and provided lots of system information. Their installers and aftercare team have been amazing as well. I would highly recommend using Carbon3 for Solar and decarbonisation projects.
