When I signed up I just wanted how much I should pay to get a fare price. It was misleading to me.

Looking at your account history, we noticed that you did not visit the recommended dealer that is listed in your report. Please note, not all dealers participate in CarCostCanada's referral program which is why it is so important for members to visit the dealer mentioned in their report. Dealers that do participate in the program are trained by CarCostCanada specialists to understand the report and provide pricing guidance according to the model the member has selected and are happy to work with the member to make a great deal. Sometimes we find dealers and sales people who do not participate in our program try to diminish the value of your price report in an effort to make you purchase a vehicle at the sticker price (which is the price non CarCostCanada members are provided with). We stand by the accuracy of our price reports and we know the recommended dealers work hard to honor the pricing guidance.

The data provided by CarCostCanada is incredibly helpful. I was able to negotiate a very good deal because of it. Above all, the service is free!

I looked at 2 different vehicles at a two other dealerships I had bought from in the past and made the final purchase at Finch Hyundai, who they recommended. Great buying experience with Danny Chervonyi at Finch!!!

CarCost Canada provides a helpful service to prospective car buyers
CarCost Canada does provide what it says it will, and in a very quick, easy to read format. That’s the good part. However, what I didn’t like were the two phone calls I received from a local auto dealer to entice me into coming to their dealership to check out the model of car I was researching. (Id already done that) Most prospective car buyers would have, or are in the process, of doing their own research , and know where their local dealers are without having to be
hassled by salesman.
I think it would be better if CarCost would provide the option for their customers to receive a call from a local dealer vs. Them passing on your contact information.

Hi there, thanks for providing us with your thoughts, we appreciate your feedback! You do not "need" to pay to get the service. Upon initial sign up, our service is absolutely FREE. You are provided TWO (2) FREE price reports to price and build for any two makes and models of choice from any manufacturer listed.
There are many members who take advantage of the TWO (2) FREE reports and do not require any additional reports so the service ultimately ends up being FREE all the way through. There are some members who do require additional reports outside of the two given to start. At that point in time, you are required to upgrade to our Expert membership which is $30.00. Upgrading your membership will provide FIVE additional price reports, but you are not obligated to doing so unless you require more reports. Overall, CarCostCanada is all about providing our members with plenty of savings not only on the dealer side of things, but on ours as well which is why we provide the FREE reports to begin with and a FREE trial service without any annual fees.
