Thus far,I have had a great experience with careerist. I appreciate how the instructors surveyed the classes to get a sense of what we are looking to get out of the QA program. The instructors were great-knowledgeable always willing to answer all questions from individuals, shared their past job search and career experiences with us. The career coach plays a significant part as well in my job search journey. I was really pleased with the quality of the course and projects. Overall, I feel confident to take on a QA Engineer role. Well done!

This is my honest opinion of careerist. I was skeptical about the whole process( I'm skeptical by nature) but it proved to work. It takes hard work and effort to succeed. Careerist provided learning material step by step and support for any questions you have. The internship provided experience in the job and then Oleksandra , my career coach provided support while job hunting. If you listen , and continue putting in effort I think anyone can succeed at this process. Some of the lesson material was repetitive and redundant but over all they teach you how to do the job correctly, and find a job once done with their program.
Areas I think careerist can improve.
- more engagement one on one in internship , classroom ( career coaching is great for this reason )
- lesson material in my learning space is scattered and available in multiple places making it slightly confusing where to find material you are searching for.

Overall, the Manual Software QA course was fantastic. The course was designed with instructors who have real-world experience. They were able to explain concepts in an easy to understand format. The hands on practice in this course was amazing. Each concept is taught, practiced and tested. The classroom instruction culminates with an internship where you get to experience working for a real company as a QA Engineer. Everything you learned comes to fruition, giving you the confidence to know that you can do the job.
After the internship, you are set up with a mentor who will work with you to create a resume that will get you noticed by employers, help you learn the techniques needed to search for your job, help you to learn the types of questions you will be asked on the interview so you are confident and knowledgable and just generally support you through the whole job searching process. If this isn't enough, once a week graduates are invited to attend a "graduates meeting" where you can ask questions, hear success stories get tips and keep you motivated until you find the job. Need more resources? They have you covered. There is also a graduates Slack Channel (you will learn about Slack during the internship). This is just another resource to help you connect with other graduates, and ask questions and get answers from Careerist experts. There are really just so many resources that they provide to their students, however - in the end it is all up to you to make it the experience you want it to be. I cannot lie, it is a lot of work and you will need to be committed to follow the process that is laid out for you.
With that being said, they will tell you it takes 3-4 months to find a job if you follow the instructions laid out by Careerist. I do believe this is true because I have heard this working for numerous graduates, however, if you are working full time and have a family, it may take you much longer to find a job. This is what happened to me, it was tough juggling all of my priorities. You will need to be consistent even when you don't want to be. I have to admit that I did not follow instructions exactly, but because my mentor Oleksandra was so supportive, I kept with it, and I am happy to report that I eventually found my job.
One other thing to note, you may or may not get the salary you expect to get. Don't get me wrong, I am sure some people do get that high salary, but from my experience, the starting salaries for jobs that I was qualified for right out of the course, were a bit lower than I had expected. But I know that I will get the salary I deserve once I have a little bit more experience.
Again, I think this course is fantastic. I am going from being an Administrative Assistant to a QA Analyst and I couldn't be happier. You can do it too, it doesn't matter what background you come from.

So far my experience with careerist has been outstanding. I have started the Manual QA course 2 months ago and i just finished my internal internship. The support staff has been very helpful with questions i had, the instructors in the program has been organized, well structured with the curriculum and helpful with every step of the way. Overall process has been very smooth, simple and efficient.

I found the course to be very easy to complete while having to work full-time still. The instructors were always informative. If I had an after-hours inquiry, the help desk was pretty quick to respond.
I do think it would help improve the confidence of anyone going through these programs to maybe have the students interview one another.
Another recommendation would be to have small group projects that require you to work with a mock QA team, prior to the internship.
Once I was done with the internship, I found the career coaching to be helpful. Even with personal difficulties I was having, my mentor has been nothing but helpful.

I decided to take the Python/Test Automation course to boost my QA career. The instructors were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly approachable and dedicated to ensuring students grasped the material. Although the course content was challenging, it was broken down into manageable, bite-sized portions, making it easier to absorb.
The teaching assistants were always there to provide assistance, and the internship was a rewarding experience. The mock interview was a real eye-opener and helped me immensely in navigating the competitive job market. What truly set this program apart was the ongoing support and guidance from the career coach, which proved invaluable.
I learned a ton and, thanks to this program, I managed to secure a more senior position in my field. If you're ready to put in the effort, I can't recommend this course highly enough – it's a real game-changer!
