Was worried due to some bad reviews I saw here but decided to pull the trigger and book - booked Gobycar in Mallorca with CarFlexi and my experience couldn't have been better. Booking had zero deductible, baby chairs and one of the most competitive prices around. Experience was completely seamless and easy both in car pick up and car return.

Very good website for ordering a car!

The rental price was very reasonable.
The rental agreement language is somewhat difficult for non lawyer to keep up with.
The process of making the reservation is pretty straight forward.
Would like to have the satisfaction of being able to speak to a live person to confirm questions regarding contract. This is money and legal liability issues that need to be clear.

The Service we received when collecting the car was great. The Lady was very Friendly and helpful. We did not wait long to complete the paper work and it was hassle free.

Very Poor Service – Missed Booking, Hidden Costs & Delayed Deposit Refund

I am extremely disappointed with the service received through CarFlexi and their local rental partner.
We made a confirmed booking on 13 April 2026 for vehicle collection on 14 April 2026 at 04:00 AM from O. R. Tambo International Airport, with return on 15 April 2026 at 17:00. A deposit of R94 was successfully paid via credit card, and the booking was fully confirmed.
On the day of collection, I arrived at the airport at 04:20 AM (20 minutes late due to difficulty getting transport). I had already called ahead and was assured this would not be a problem and that someone would be waiting at the information desk.
However:
No one was there upon arrival
The airport information desk had no knowledge of my booking
The rental company failed to communicate or assist properly
I waited until 05:40 AM with no resolution
Eventually, after repeated calls, I was told the driver was unreachable and no solution was provided. I was forced to return home, incurring additional transport costs and missing an important morning game drive to Pilanesberg, which completely ruined our plans.
Only after I got home did someone call to say the car was finally ready — far too late.
Out of desperation, I agreed to have the vehicle delivered to my hotel. The car only arrived around 07:45 AM, almost 4 hours late.
To make matters worse:
Upon delivery, I was unexpectedly asked to pay a R14,000 deposit, or alternatively R4,000 with insurance
This was never disclosed during the booking process, where I was only informed about paying a balance of R900
Due to urgency, I was forced to accept and pay R4,000
On return of the vehicle on 15 April 2026, the car was handed back in perfect condition with a full tank. However:
No communication was provided regarding the refund
I had to follow up myself
I was then told I must wait 21 working days for the R4,000 deposit
❗ Major Issues:
Failure to honor confirmed booking time
Poor communication and lack of accountability
Hidden and undisclosed deposit fees
Financial loss due to additional transport costs
Missed planned activities due to delays
Unacceptable delay in refunding deposit
⚠️ Conclusion:
This experience was highly unprofessional, stressful, and financially damaging. A confirmed booking should guarantee service, transparency, and reliability — none of which were provided.
I strongly urge CarFlexi and their partner to:
Refund the R4,000 deposit urgently
Compensate for the inconvenience and financial losses incurred
Improve their communication and transparency
I would not recommend this service based on this experience.

The price offered on my preferred model of car was less than other agencies offered and booking the car was very simple

Carflexi.com works fine except that the webpage said the flight number was important for our airport collection; when we tried to fill it in online, that part of the webpage would not respond, and consequently, ALL of our information was erased and we had to repeat the whole process. We still could not fill in the flight number, but this time we ignored it and called the carhire compsny instead. A frustrating waste of time that soured what would otherwise have been s good experience with you.

It was quick, efficient and very competitive/affordable pricing.
