Suite à une escroquerie sur ma carte bancaire ma banque a bloqué cette carte le jour où je devais récupérer ma voiture de location. Comme je n’avais plus de carte valable à mon nom (celle de ma femme n’a pas été acceptée) la société de location n’a pas voulu me remettre la voiture. Carjet a refusé de modifier le nom sur le contrat pour qu’on puisse utiliser la carte de ma femme car soi- disant il fallait faire la demande 48h avant. Ils ont catégoriquement refusé de me rembourser alors que c’est un cas de force majeure.

A raíz de un fraude con mi tarjeta de crédito, mi banco bloqueó dicha tarjeta el mismo día en que tenía que recoger mi coche de alquiler. Como ya no tenía ninguna tarjeta válida a mi nombre (la de mi mujer no fue aceptada), la empresa de alquiler se negó a entregarme el coche. Carjet se negó a cambiar el nombre en el contrato para que pudiéramos utilizar la tarjeta de mi mujer porque, supuestamente, había que solicitarlo con 48 horas de antelación. Se negaron rotundamente a reembolsarme, a pesar de que se trata de un caso de fuerza mayor.

Following a fraud incident involving my credit card, my bank blocked the card on the day I was due to collect my hire car. As I no longer had a valid card in my name (my wife’s card was not accepted), the hire company refused to hand over the car to me. Carjet refused to change the name on the contract so that we could use my wife’s card, claiming that the request had to be made 48 hours in advance. They categorically refused to refund me, even though this was a case of force majeure.

When the booking is made you are not told the company you are renting from until receiving the confirmation after payment. Green motion is off site at Stansted at a different location to other rental companies and arguably the worst of them all. If you don't want Green motion then avoid.
Despite the reply from Carjet, the rental company is not known until after payment and Green Motion receives a 2.9 on trust pilot. So while the response is appreciated it does not address the primary concern.

Hi, it's great to pick up at airport,
A few little things could be improved, there was no water in the wipers spray, (we filled it up) and the windscreen was looked like cleaned with a dirty cloth, and as we were driving it made things difficult with the sun shining on it, bit other then that I would recommend this company for value for money and airport pickup

So upon complaining as per my last review , Saying that i was scammed in thinking this was a company that doesnt require a credit Card. I was emailed by customer service or Probably an AI generated reply to say that it was clearly stated in the terms amd conditions whilst making the booking. Let me be clear, When you search car rental that doesn not require a credit card , Carjet is one of the top 3 companies that come up , and it says in Big Bold writing - NO CREDIT CARD FEES REQUIRED. This is where they catch vulnerable people like I found myself in that situation, as I do not own a credit card, hence continuing with the booking using my debit card. Then further more , You are asked to take an insurance with Carjet , which is charged to your debit card with the cost of the rental, And only this is paid for , Then you get an email to say that upon collecting the car, You are required to put a deposit with a credit card on your name. How is this the same as whats on your header line of your google page. You are misleading people and taking advantage of their vulnerability. Thats illegal. I lost over R2000 of my hard earned money , which they now say is not refundable. I even emailed them to cancel the service, after calling their 3rd party supplier at Cape Town International airport only to find out, that if I do not have a credit card, They will take a R14000 holding deposit , Which is only refundable in 30 days from my debit card. Your upfront advertising is false, Your AI customer service responses are useless to me. I am also starting to believe that alot of these positive reviews are also generated by AI. Just to pick up your rating. I have logged a complaint against your company with the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO), and if this fails , I will go to the National Consumer Commission. This is not over.
I will take this matter as high as I can.
Especially now that you refuse to give me my money back for services not rendered on top of the false advertising and misleading the consumer.
