I had taken a car Mazda 3 for one week during Sep 2019. The Car was returned on 30th Sep 2019. Service till this point in time was reasonable. However, strangely instead of blocking funds of AED 1500/- as security deposit through credit card they had actually debited my card for AED 1500/- at the booking and assured me that the funds would be reversed to my card within 30 days from the return of the car. Today on 10h Dec I has been almost 70 days that they have not returned my security deposit despite several email follow ups and their confirmation that they would be doing so. I am afraid that they are using such deposits to earn interest income on float illegally. Imagine having one thousand or more such deposits lying in your account for over a period of one to two months at least on average. Anyone can do the maths it’s easy. Now I am out of Dubai and totally at their mercy for return of my security deposit.

Price was competitive. The car was excellent. Drop off process was very quick and ‎smooth. There was some waiting at the counter when we arrived to collect the car. ‎But nothing we can’t deal with‎

Booked for a road trip to Oman – they made things easy and provided all the ‎paperwork that was going to be required at the airport (which was a lot). Appreciate ‎them going the extra mile for us.

Probably the worst car rental company I've worked with. They've charged my credit card repeatedly without my authorization. They currently owe me almost 5000 Dhs and I'm getting no response.

I first signed up with Carlease after hearing about their teacher offers so great to ‎feel appreciated by a company. Good rates and strong service‎

I rented a car during the Eid Break and Carlease made things super simple – was able ‎to identify which car I wanted online and then pick it up quite quickly. Easy to extend ‎as well as required‎

More the 2 months company ignored the refund of deposit.
The DED consumer rights complaint is MP-19-94321 no result.
The claim is 2DRA000247
The police will be invited to fraud investigation.

As a regular Ramadan car renter – I come back to Carlease very time (three times in ‎a row). I find the team to be very courteous and knowledgeable, and they are super ‎helpful – even opened the office for me on a Friday (which they do not usually do). ‎Would certainly recommend them to friends and family.‎

the company don´t anser of email´s and per phone is near impossible to reach.
In the beginnen they give promises to send me the money.
Worst company i have chosen for rent a car.
Please people don´t do this same mistake.

I was very happy with Carlease’s service. It was the first time I tried them as I had ‎never heard of them before. Their on-line process is efficient, user friendly, clear, ‎easy to go through and most importantly - transparent: there were no hidden or ‎difficult to see/understand terms and conditions. Their prices were good and fair. I ‎will certainly go back to Carlease the next time I am in the UAE. ‎

Very easy to book online, with free cancellation (which we ended up not using), ‎professional and quick customer service. Car was as expected, we got what we ‎booked, no extra charges, nice and smooth. Highly recommended!‎

Rented for a year with no issues, then all of a sudden received our rental withdrawal, along with another couple of rental withdrawals for 'other accounts'. Resorted to sit-ins at the offices until these withdrawals were returned. Now at end of lease and have been trying to get deposit back for the last two months with no luck. Absolute shambolic service and trying to contact them is near impossible. MD does not reply to any emails. Now seeking legal advice and going for another sit it this weekend! Do not use!

I'm waiting for the return of my €374 deposit since may 2019. I have already sent 3 e-mail reminders, but carlease only replied on my first e-mail, saying they are sorry and the return of the money is 'waiting for approval'. Ever since nothing happened. It is now october 2019. Last month I went to the Discovery Gardens branch (where I rented the car) to complain. The lady couldn't help me and refered back to their headoffice. Some kind of dept. which handles the return of deposits. I don't know what's happening there, but either they are sleeping or they ran out of money and can't pay back. Sofar I can only conclude that this looks like theft. I will continue to send e-mail reminders and meanwhile I would simply dissuade anybody to rent a car from Carlease Dubai.

I rented a car for 10 months on a teacher deal from their branch in Al Quoz (Dubai) and persevered with a whole host of problems. Firstly, I was stung for accidental damage which I thought would have been covered in the rental costs. My courtesy car was a battered and bruised Chevrolet which in my opinion was not road worthy (one of the rear windows wouldn't stay closed...) and trying to change this car was something of a mission (refusal to respond to emails, phone calls etc was only the beginning...). I returned my car on July 13th and to this day (22nd August) I am still waiting for the deposit to be returned. They continue to feed me excuses and say it's still under process and continually send clearly fake emails to the so-called "Deposit Tracker Team" to give you false sense of hope. I have filed a complaint to the DED which should hopefully sort out this hopeless and lacklustre company. Take your money elsewhere and avoid this company at all costs.

If I could give this company less than one star I would. Do not rent with them.

They gave me an unregistered car, which was stopped by police and taken by them. The general manager refused to speak to me. I have had no apology or compensation for the experience or the taxi back to my apartment.

Impossible to get deposit back. They have kept my deposit rolling for three years now. As I could not get my deposit, I always rented with them again. However after my experience with the unregistered car, I will never rent with them again.

I cannot warn the public enough about this company.

Exactly the same! They don't return the deposit.What a pity that I have not seen these reviews before.

If I could I would give zero star as a rating, these people invested in very effective system how to get the clients in and take their money. I believe they make money not from renting the cars but from peoples deposits. It has been a mission to get our money back, 1 deposit is retruned, the second one is still pending.

Never ever - they rented us a car without the insurance and Mulkiya renewed (happy to share the full thread of emails if Car Lease denies it). They don't take our calls or hang up, decided to terminate the contract without giving notice or reason... We still have to show the renewed Mulkiya to the Police and Car Lease is still unable to provide it or share a plan on how they will provide it in time... Bear in mind that if you go for Car Lease you should be prepared to treat with unprofessional people who might put you at risk.

I hired a car from Carlease (Dubai) in August (great car) but still haven't received my deposit back. I have contacted by email, phone and even went back to the place of hire. The response each time, someone will get back to you!
Still waiting......I have contacted DED now.
I kept all correspondences from Carlease, so it should really help my case.
It is such a shame as customer service here (UAE), compared to home (UK) is amazing.
Try to avoid using them, I'm sure there are plenty other choices.
