Smart #1 Premium 2025
I had been looking for a car for a few months as my current one was due to go back to the finance company.
My husband found e-car lease and got in touch with Mike. We had been looking at BYD and Hyundai and Smart. We have always done PCP but we did some research and found the best route would be to do a lease finance.
We went to a few car dealerships to have a look around and we found the Smart #1 was the best for me. It was exactly what i required - long mile range, apple car play, sat nav etc. Mike was really helpful through the whole process.
Very happy with my new car and very happy with the service

I was delivered a brand new car that…
I was delivered a brand new car that has a faulty control unit (no audio including indicator sounds) so I'm now in a hire car for an unknown amount of time because the control unit part is on backorder. E-Carlease were great at making the sale and providing the required information in order for me to purchase the car. But given my experience mentioned above I would recommend they check the process and suppliers of the cars they are selling or they will continue to have unhappy customers. They told me I signed the contracts with Volkswagen therefore they can't help, but from a customer perspective I went through them to purchase a car and that car isn't working so I feel they have a part to play in the issues as well.

Further to our email to you directly, it is regretful that you have chosen a 1 star review to resolve your complaint with the vehicle. For clarity we think your comments are wholly unfair. And they will not help you achieve a resolution with us if that’s your intention.
Since receiving your vehicle, you have spoken to our administration team, account manager and a director of the business. All of them have provided you with the time and care to address the situation but, as we keep asserting, the issue with the sound goes beyond our remit as the leasing broker.
Receiving a new car which does not work to your expectations is not satisfactory. And we 100% agree with you on this. This is why we worked with you to direct this to your local VW dealership for resolution. And why our director sent the clarity on the complaints process for your finance company, even offering to provide supporting information to help redress the situation. We are on your side after all.
We are a broker and sit in-between the various parties involved. Indeed, our finance company do dictate to us what we can do. This was expressly communicated to you. You did not reply to this email and chose to express a negative review.
I hope other customers won’t hold us accountable for the operation of their vehicle and will indeed recognise that we do things differently. Especially when the process doesn’t go perfectly.

Got myself a BYD seal excellence from Lee. his customer service was incredible. i give a list of possible vehicles i would like and he made a couple of suggestions based on what we talked about. i ended up getting the BYD on his recommendation. I'm a happy customer.
would also like to say that his patience with me was admirable. I had him jumping through hoops and delays from my end went on for far longer than anticipated. there was no pressure from him. it was all at my convenience. would highly recommend anyone interested to get in touch
