Good stereo amplifier

I've purchased stereo amplifier from CarPiece.com and I am really happy about it. It was quality stuff and quite inexpensive. Ordering was pretty convenient and shipping was fast. I would recommend these guys.

Good service

My 12 years old Toyota Corolla engine finally gave up. It had problems for the last few weeks and I thought I need to buy new car. But then I found Carmonkeys and gave them the call. Service was really good and they helped me with ordering used engine. So far, after 3 weeks the car runs really good and I’ve saved tons of money. Car monkeys have really good service and affordable pricing.

Wouldn't Use Carmonkeys Again

I ordered a 5.7l Chevy from car monkeys and it did not go as planned. I needed it fast and this was the best website for getting things shipped at least on paper. The engine took 4 days longer than what it had said it would ship in. At one point the truck driver delivering the engine called me to ask where it was because he was at the warehouse to pick it up and no one there knew of any order. The engine I got had the exhaust mainfold cracked clean through and when I contacted the company they said to take the old one off and use it. That isnt what the mechanic and I had agreed on so my mechanic bill went up from that. Then as they got further into it the oil pan had 2 rust holes in it and the dipstick was rusted out and cracked. They said the dipstick was a "high ware part" so there was no warranty. The other parts of the engine I had problems with they said were "bolt on parts" every part of the engine bolts together. I had nothing but problems the motor I got was supposed to be together from the top of the intake to the exhaust and that is what I thought I was getting. Nothing close to that so after fixing the motor then putting it in my mechanic bill went up another $500 dollars. Wasn't worth it shoulda just got one from summit.
I dont think they go through the motors like they say. Im not holding out hope they stick to their 5 yr warranty.

Refused to fulfill warranty

I bought a 7.3l instead of a 6.9l engine. They are the same engine and are compatible. Found seller on Ebay, arranged purchase on the phone, was sent invoice and paid via PayPal. A little over a year later the engine started knocking. They told me to get documented diagnosis from an auto shop. When I sent it in they denied the warranty on basis it was not the correct engine for my truck. The salesperson I dealt with was aware of my minor upgrade to the slightly larger engine. Now I am stuck with a broke truck again and wasted $4000 for install and purchase of the engine for one year of operation. They should verify warranty compatibility via VIN otherwise I would have gotten the 6.9 or gotten documentation it is a valid substitute.

Re: Carmonkeys reply
It was indeed your site and I have a reciept in my history through PayPal so perhaps one of your employees is making sales on the side to make some extra cash with their discount but I DO have an engine, 7.3 and 6.9 IDI are in teh same Wikipedia article. Whoever I dealt with at your company allowed me to buy a 5-year warranty 7.3 for my 85 f-350 and knew I was doing it since the 7.3 is an improved version of the same engine. I still want my warranty fulfilled and I will take down my negative reviews. I would like to resolve this issue. Otherwise I will pursue my legal options.

I am not sure that you are talking about our company. We have never sold anything on EBay and we don't advertise on EBay at all. Also we don't send PayPal invoices. Customers go to our website (www.carmonkeys.com) and they purchase directly from it.
Regardless where you have purchased it from I don't blame the company who sold you the engine that they refuse the warranty. You cannot do significant modification to your car like using different engine and think that this will not void warranty. All components are build to certain specifications and using components built for something else may introduce additional stress with any mechanism (regardless mechanical or electrical) that will slowly cause damage to some parts. It's the same as using performance chip in your ECU will void original car manufacturers warranty.

Sells parts they don't have on hand, terrible customer service

Ordered an engine from these guys at midnight, had an email at 8:30 their time that said the part was "test and failed" with no more in stock. I highly doubt they warehoused a single bad engine and tested it within minutes of arriving at work. More likely is they are selling products they don't actually have on hand.
Called customer service and after getting hung up on once (yeah I was upset) they said it would take 4 days to refund. After emailing them it showed back up in my account.

These guys suck, sorry, but what would you expect from NJ? Too many salvage yards in California, Florida and Texas to do business with to mess with these guys.

Terrible customer service

I ordered a rear axle assembly for my Tacoma. When it arrived and was installed it was in worse shape than the one I replaced. When I called to let them know they said they were going to contact my mechanic to get the details and call me right back. They did not. My mechanic suggested that I get rid of the truck so I did but still had the original axle. I contacted CarMonkey again because I still had not heard from them and told them the situation and asked if they were interested in the old axle. The customer service person told me I was Insain. I wanted to ask where he had been trained in customer service but it was obvious he was not. I paid $1,500 for a replacement axle and $600 to have it installed and CarMonkey wanted me to pay an additional $600 to have it removed so I could send it back and they would replace it and I could then spend another $600 to have that one installed and hope it worked. I understand they cannot refund the money as I do not have the vehicle anymore but to tell me to spend thousands of dollars more to fix the faulty part they sent me or call me Insain for asking if they wanted the old axle is not good customer service. I will recommend no one buy from them simply because of the poor customer service.

good quality products at good prices

I am very satisfied that I discovered the Car Monkeys site. I bought a transmission for my wife's 2006 NISSAN 350Z got it deliver within 3 days and was really happy with the quality of the product. They give careful attention to detail and offer a good quality item and a great value all in one. As well as a fantastic warranty policy. I will definitely buy another transmission from here again.

Car Monkey doesn't disappoint!

This company doesn't play any games, and delivers what they say they do. I ordered a used transmission for my Honda Accord, and it showed up within 5 days. The condition of the transmission was great, and saved me a LOT of money I would have had to spend if I went elsewhere. Very trustworthy, I would recommend them to anyone!
